  1. Anyone heard yet on the seedings for the Friday games? I'm assuming OBD will play Yale and Beav will play Wazzu. Go Ducks website will start ticket sales tomorrow, reserved seating for the entire regional at $110, $95 for GA. Then single games for $18 reserved on Wednesday. Let's load it up!
  2. So the NCAA did it anyway and put Beavus at the #2 seed in the Eugene regional, followed by Wazzu and Yale. Time to load up PK and help get OBD to the supers.
  3. Freakin great finish. Mabeus even said that a drag bunt wasn't the call, but he did it anyway. One of the best college games ever. Frustrating because of the dropped pick off by Oregon in the 7th, but what a marathon.
  4. Duck bats finally answered. Lauaki really jacked it over the CF wall and into the parking lot
  5. Click bait. Nothing specific to back up the claims and oblivious to returning production that includes as many as five potential 2027 first round draft selections. The idea that Oregon will enter the tOSU game with two losses is particularly wrong headed. The only early game where the spread will be maybe less than a TD is against USC. Riley just hasn't come close to proving his teams can put one over on the Ducks. Where would the threat of another loss come from? Boise St, Okie St, Nebraska, UCLA or Illinois? Not a guarantee, but a healthy OBD will dramatically out talent every team leading up to the trip to Columbus. Way too early for season predictions but I think Oregon gets it's one loss at the 'Shoe then enters the CFP ranked no lower than #6 and hosting a first round game at Autzen. You'd never hear this drivel out of Pate, Klatt or Pickett, guys that actually know the game and do their homework. There's a reason why no one has ever heard of this guy. By the looks of him, the dude needs to get off the couch and participate in something more strenuous than a BBQ.
  6. A couple of observations that have maybe been touched on by others. The NC transfer DL Robinson is a Bear clone and pushed the interior O-line, including Pancho, backwards a couple of times. Combined with Breland and M Johnson, I think the D-line backups are set behind Bear and Amuri. Finney got posterized a couple times by DKM and has self identified the need to improve his quickness and speed off the break. But holy crapoly, Dakorien is really special and there won't be many DBs in the nation that will do any better than Finney did yesterday. Perhaps Perich and Finney did have a coverage misfire on the early TD pass from Dante to JJ. But the pass was thrown perfectly to Jamari's back shoulder and likely would have been a catch between the defenders even if the coverage was better. The RBs had a less than highlight reel day, not unrelated to some of the O-line struggles and the 'thud' nature of the tackling to avoid injuries. Runs by Colorado transfer Price and freshman TBall nevertheless showed some flash to supplement the lightning and thunder of #6 and #0. Speaking of #6, DHill will be kept fresh for backfield duties as it is unlikely he'll be fielding many punts unless the dropsies get fixed. I rewatched the Penn St game on B1G network Friday evening for fun. Dante was accurate, evasive and appeared to be processing quickly. While he still has two Indiana showings to live down, nothing he did yesterday showed a significant weakness. The spring game didn't allow him to showcase much by design. He came back to Oregon for a reason and I believe he still has room to reach his ceiling and should see significant growth this season.
  7. Gotta hand it to Bucknut, 4 picks in the first 11 taken. Makes Indiana's 2026 championship all the more impressive. And a grudging nod to Mariø for what Miami did to them in the quarters. Sadiq just came off the board at #16. Unfortunately it was to the Jets.
  8. Fire sale. Can't really blame Shelstad and KJ. DA gets to try and rebuild from the ground up, so I imagine 2026-27 will be a repeat of this season and that won't turn out well. Heard that this is essentially an NIL issue and donors are not enthusiastic about the current regime.
  9. So Waz brought it all down to earth a bit on Laya, as he hits .429 against right handed pitching but only .235 against lefties . It just shows us how special he will be when he can hit lefty piching. My guess is that going forward opposing coaches will bring in a southpaw when the game is on the line and Laya is coming up. That will change.
  10. Amazing comeback. When was the last time Oregon had a freshman steely-eyed clutch player like Laya?
  11. The sports 'press' occasionally astounds with it's lack of thoroughness and presumably AI driven writing. The players listed in the article are fast and football quick. We've seen what DAK, Finney and DHill2 can do. Lott should be a beast. But Hill's 11+ time is not track fast. For heaven sake, how do you leave Bair and his 10.15 sec 100 meter time (as a HS junior, no less) off the list? You line him up with the other four, and he smokes them by several meters.
  12. The biggest travesty was not including Justin Herbert in the list. Top 100 since 2000, and he's not on it? As noted, that would have made Oregon 3rd on this list. JH stats at Oregon: Passing yds. 10,541 Comp rate. 64% TD. 95 Int. 23 Rushing yds. 541 Rushing TD. 13 wth kind of criteria did the ES(ec)PN "brain trust" use to exclude him? Same as the idiot that claimed before the draft that Herbert would get some coach fired.
  13. And yet somehow he was first team all B1G and will be the first TE off the board in the draft.
  14. I don't know if he qualifies since he had a big second half of the 2025 season, but I would count Jamari Johnson in this list. I considered him a starter as his role was expanded along with the rest of the TE room when so many WRs were injured and Stein had to run a lot of 12 personnel. He will now be the #1 TE and I think he will be a nightmare matchup for most LBs and 'delta' safeties, even if he isn't quite as gifted athletically as Sadiq is.
