OREGON ALSO TAKING A NATIONAL APPROACH TO THE 2028 WIDE RECEIVER CLASSThe Ducks have several promising West Coast options, but Ross Douglas is already extending the board from Florida to Michigan and North Carolina The 2028 recruiting cycle remains early enough that Oregon’s wide receiver board will change considerably before signing day. Rankings will move, new prospects will emerge and the Ducks will eventually evaluate another full season of varsity film before deciding which receivers fit together as a class. Even so, the opening of direct contact in June gave us the first meaningful look at Oregon’s priorities. From what I am hearing, the Ducks are not approaching the position with one specific receiver profile in mind. They are recruiting size, vertical speed, route-running ability and versatility across several different regions. That approach reflects the shape of the class. The West Coast has some good receivers, but it does not appear to have an unusually deep group of elite national prospects. Oregon will have to protect its regional options while continuing to compete for top receivers throughout the country.
