Sorsby is a model collegiate football player in the modern era. He is the model of contemptible, and in the running for most derided (hated). Texas Tech has earned the same dubious honors as an institution. The AD, Kirby Hocutt, is striving for his own seat at the table of the despised. Stay tuned as there will be more chapters in the TTU-Sorsby saga. 🤮

Darn those Ducks! They are better than that score indicates. This team has been a comeback team all season. The odds and history of teams down 1-0 in the Supers are heavily against our Ducks now. Will they fight their way back against all odds? Winning two from Texas in Austin to advance to the College World Series is a tall order. GO DUCKS!

The good news is this. I live in the Eastern time zone. The game was scheduled to begin at 10:00 PM tonight. Since it will be moved to tomorrow I can go to bed before 10:00 tonight, and stay awake to see the final inning tomorrow. It’s an “old nan” thing.

Now that we know there is speed what will the coaches do with it? My pet peeves the last two years have included disappointing lack of exploiting speed advantages. Stewart, Moore, Johnson and Sadiq among others. We have the dudes so use them.

Refine and sharpen the offense.. Improve receivers’ fight for the ball. Improve penetration and pass rushing skills. Emphasize tackling and ball stripping techniques.

That’s what I would like to see.

Patullo was cut loose today by the Philadelphia Eagles. His background looks like a coach the Ducks could really use. I hope that DL will at least arrange a call with Patullo’s agent.

Raiola does not strike me as a home run selection. If the plan is a development year and having a back up next season, then depending on how things go, there is the 2027 recruitment and next year’s portal in play to improve. I’m willing to watch and wait before any verdict. My first reaction was like being burned - “ouch”.

Even though the Ducks last two football seasons ended with abrupt resounding THUDS, the overall performance and records of the 2024 and 2025 seasons is remarkable. Go Ducks.
