  2. Put Nasir Wyatt on Nico. He seems quick enough to be a spy on him. As long as the front four can get home a decent amount of times it should speed up Nico's internal clock and force him to make quicker reads. I was decently encouraged by our run defense against USuCk so I want to see that aspect of coverage continue to blossom. On offense we need to have a breakout game with our rushing attack. I believe this will happen. It will give Dylan a half second, or so, more of processing time downfield. I think he already trusts his receivers to go make plays on the balls he puts up. In a good-on-good matchup we have more talent. As long as they play a clean game this can and should result in a similar, if not, more lopsided score than USC. We are in Autzen, the crowd will do its work!
  3. UCLA's offensive coordinator is highly respected, and here is a video about him and their offense.

  13. A Prove It Week for Powerhouse Programs, and also for their opponents: No. 13 OBD, No. 21 UCLA, No. 7 Indiana, No. 31 Nebraska, No. 1 Texas, No. 16 Florida, and No. 10 LSU. And LSU's opponent, No. 26 Kentucky, wants to return to the Top 25. Top Dawg in the SEC? I think it will be determined, at least through Week 6, when No. 2 Georgia plays No. 7 Alabama in Tuscaloosa. I've added these two SEC powerhouses to the discussion. I think both teams would defeat No. 1 Texas. If Nebraska isn't ranked in the Top 25 because of the quality of the teams it has played, why are No. 3 Notre Dame and No. 4 Miami ranked? The team that exposed cracks in the Indiana defense? The should be ranked in the Top 25, No. 30 Northwestern Wildcats which after the beatdown of Penn State is now 4-1 with the loss on the road against No. 7 Indiana. Northwestern also destroyed B12 Colorado. If NW played ball in the SEC it would be ranked. 17. CBS Sports UCLA-Oregon game preview They seem to like the Ducks in the game. UCLA’s run game is creative and posses a problem for defenses with the number of athletic OL they use, misdirection, etc. One of the analysts mentioned that he didn’t love Oregon’s linebackers and it will be interesting to watch Oregon’s front 7 against UCLA’s OL. However, at the end of the day, they didn’t sound like they believed UCLA was quite there yet to go into Autzen and beat a talented Oregon team.

  19. Irony of irony, Ducks are the 12th seed and get displaced by a team they beat, Boise St.
  20. Before the game, that our poop didn't stink. After the game, that it smells like everyone else's, except sc's which is nuclear waste compared to ours.
  21. Awesome comments. I keep writing Shakespearean soliloquies. So I'll try to be brief... Lanning's schemes worked against lessor talented and equal teams so much he didn't have to adjust. In the playoffs-both years- Cignetti and Day's adjusted and exploited those schemes. Boise State and Oklahoma State fed off what they saw in the playoffs. Misfiring in two games out of 26 the past two years wasn't cause for concern. I believe the complacency this year came from confirmation bias. The staff hadn't recognized each team wasn't "giving OBD time to execute" because those teams diagnosed how to take away our previous advantages. Three consecutive games told Lanning all he needed to know about what is going to work moving forward. Credit to him for being willing to adjust.
  22. I hope an on-field storm isn't Bruin. The team that played USC in LA shows up: clear and sunny skies. The team that played the Broncos and Cowboys: stormy weather. Weather or not, I think OBD, without the need for an umbrella, wins and covers. Back-to-back beatdowns of teams from Lost Angeles. 👌🤞😍
