  1. Play calling seemed to be an issue for sure-especially with the emphasis on the pass in the first half. May be related to a comment Lanning made about the offensive line not getting enough push at times. I hate the feeling that we have guys who are great of girth, and can impress in the weight room, but when it comes to moving smaller defensive linemen off the ball, it just ain't happening. Doesn't bode well for the bigger bodies we'll face down the road.
  2. Keep up the good work, Charles, and thanks again for creating a place to discuss OBD! For what it’s worth, I went from being bedridden with back and hip issues—once for nearly six months—to playing some of the best golf of my life at Black Butte Ranch this past week, at age 72. Pretty amazing journey. It all started with two books that have become foundational to how I approach life and health: Eight Steps to a Pain-Free Back by Esther Gokhale Atomic Habits by James Clear Enjoy the game! Go Ducks! 🦆
  3. When Kiffin was quoted in the WSJ as saying, "To win at the highest level you have to become the villain in someone's story," he essentially admitted he can't win without breaking the rules (i.e. cheating).
  4. Maybe they are still practicing "social distancing"? Maybe they are trying to boost live stream viewership? Maybe their fan base didn't know today was game day? Whatever the reason, I bet DL and his staff fielded a few recruit calls today!
  5. Well, his dad has a pretty full array of tattoos on his arm in his picture with his son. Maybe this dude has a lot of love and respect for his father, which is a pretty good thing in today's world.
  6. This from a coach who assembled a group of high priced lawyers and threatened to sue his starting quarterback to keep him from leaving for a better opportunity. Sheesh!
  7. Alabama up by 1 over S. Florida late in the 3rd.
  8. Same uniforms worn for the “Civil War” beat down of Beavis last year, only the helmets had wings instead of the O. Wings were better IMHO.
  9. Didn’t see Jabbar Muhammad in the game, nothing in injury updates from Lanning. Any ideas what’s up?
  10. I expect to see James run for 100 yards in the first quarter and then pass the baton to our plethora of running backs for the remainder of the game. I also expect to see some creative use of our uber talented tight ends, but just enough to give Boise State preparation fits. Physicality will be the mantra of the day as we turn our intense preparation from battling each other toward vanquishing our undermanned opponent.
  11. I believe the last Oregon receiver with Olympic speed may have been Devon Allen. He’ll be pursuing gold next week in the 110 Meter High Hurdles. Go Ducks!
  12. Great news! Better than landing a 5-Star recruit. Brings to mind a question though: Can even the best d-line stop/shut down a prolific passing attack like the Mutts have this year or the Burrows led LSU team in 2019? It almost seems like a pinpoint passing attack can always/usually scheme to nullify even the best and most aggressive d-line. Looking ahead to facing our Deboer issue next year and beyond, tell me I’m wrong. Please!
  13. Wow, these delusional fans remind me more and more of Dr. Leo Marvin in the movie “What About Bob? The more Bob’s endearing qualities emerge, the more deranged Dr. Marvin becomes. In the final scene he goes completely catatonic when Bob scores the ultimate success: Marrying his favorite sister Lilly! That be like us winning the natty, led by our marvelous staff, show casing our trendy uniforms and celebrating our great alumni support! Go Ducks!
  14. I wondered how we slipped by them. Timing is everything!
