The Worst Time For A Coordinator Learning Curve
Agree. So why does he continually miss those downfield reads unless he is clean in the pocket? Or at least it seems that way to me. He either lacks confidence that he can make that throw or he is not seeing the field.

From the Sideline: Oklahoma State Knew What Oregon Plays Were Coming
As Daniel noted above, apparently Dante's stance did give it away every time. This was just posted on WSJ, which unfortunately is behind a paywall. But the gist is that when his feet where next to each other, it was a run. When they were one ahead of the other, it was a pass. 100% of the time! Even Dante admitted it. https://www.wsj.com/sports/football/oregon-dante-moore-secret-tell-769021a0?mod=Searchresults&pos=1&page=1

The Worst Time For A Coordinator Learning Curve
1) That what he is being paid for. 2) Looking at where he is rolling out, he had plenty of time to set his feet as there is no one near him. 3) On the sideline you can see at least 4 people on the Oregon sideline pointing downfield, a second or two later there are more people pointing.

I don't think so. No one is 57 - 0 over the last 4+ years. They wanted Day out after he lost to Michigan in '24 and how did that turn out? Yes, it is, now fix it.

We forget how many offensive plays were saved in the past because of QBs that could RUN or scramble to get valuable yardage.

No Stats, Just Effort: Oregon vs Portland State- The Oregon Defense Needs to Prove Their Worth- Dante Moore and the Offense Need to Lock In- The Receivers Need to Bring More EffortIt’s arguable that the two most talented units on the Ducks this season are the defensive line and the wide receivers. We need to see those two groups show up on Friday like they’re angry at the world. If they’re not willing to bring the energy, there are guys on the bench who will. The message on media day was that everyone was hungry this season. So far it looks like most of the Ducks are only a little peckish. On3No Stats, Just Effort: Oregon vs Portland StateFor the Oregon Ducks, the upcoming game on Friday against Portland State isn't about stats or box scores. It's about effort and anger.

Coaching has been what has beaten Oregon the past few years. Giving tells that obvious? Someone needs to be fired. Scout team, OC, QB coach? Not sure who, but this is absolutely unacceptable This is worse than Mario calling timeout with 60 full minutes to play on the game clock. Disgusting

From the Sideline: Oklahoma State Knew What Oregon Plays Were Coming
I have read on Reddit of multiple instances of Dante telling if it’s a pass/run play - based on his foot placement! How didn’t our staff catch this and make corrections or use the the ‘tell’ as a misdirection?

Why Oregon Lost? An Overlooked Element...?
I've had moments after many games that I questioned Dan's decisions, but never have I had the thoughts that I did after this game. Not just overly aggressive, but borderline idiotic IMO. That said, Dan has built a lot of equity via many good wins and an obvious recruiting and cultural shift... Point being that while this game definitely tarnished the halo a bit, Dan deserves the grace and benefit-of-the-doubt that he's earned. One game does not mean the sky is falling. Let's see what the season holds. Dan deserves that, at the very least. And... with all of the returning player talent I think we glossed over the coordinator changes a bit. That's a huge deal. They need a learning curve too. I'll be curious to see how we feel at season's end... Will we be in the dumps, or will we laugh at the knee-jerk reactions of present-day us ...? I guess we'll see.

Why Oregon Lost? An Overlooked Element...?
The term I heard and saw written more often than any other to describe Oregon’s mental state was ‘sleepwalking’. It must have been in the air because I remember thinking the same thing.

The Worst Time For A Coordinator Learning Curve
Serious question. Is that a high percentage throw for Dante to McClellan? In the pocket, yes….all day long. Out of the pocket while being chased? Can he make that throw consistently? Or does he even trust himself to throw that? We have seen so many missed opportunities down the field over the past year when he is not in a clean pocket.

Why Oregon Lost? An Overlooked Element...?
I think that is accurate. I also think this was a wake up call. I expect them to come out angry and inspired the rest of the way.

They were soft...in that game. I believe they will much stronger in the next two weeks, and progressively stronger as the season continues.

Why Oregon Lost? An Overlooked Element...?
It's not about if they beat PSU by 100 points or whatever... it's about how they do it. Regardless they will not prove anything. But it could be a sign of hope if they go out there and just play physical and disciplined that is a step in the right direction.
