  1. Great analysis as usual, JJ! The question is who will be the Lousville and SMU this year? Wake Forest and Clemson? MariNo did behave better in the PO stretch last year, but has he really learned? Or will he get cocky and digress again? Hope OBD gets further in the PO than MariNo this year!
  2. Honestly, ND's schedule is far from "JOKE", as much as respect Jon's research. They do have 4-5 challenging games. That's about the same as OBD this season - USC, OSU, Michigan, UW? And I think Freeman has learned not to lose cupcake games, so I would wager 11-1 too, with maybe a loss to Miami...
  3. Thanks Charles. I have saved the new address and will look forward to the new home for the Forum. Hope the new owners if fishduck.com will continue to be OBD fans and not turn it into a duck fishing site...😃
  4. Two former QBs from Chandler HS in AZ battling it out for the starting job at Oregon next year - Raiola also went there! Hope we have better luck with this 5-star QB from that state than the last go-around! 😃
  5. 2027: Raiola 2028: Thomas, AS or Mencl. AS will be a RS Sophomore then? I guess maybe he stays until this year and leaves if he gets beat by Mencl and Thomas?
  6. Wow, if we get Mencl, I bet Akili Smith Jr will leave... ☹️
  7. Also agreeing with both Alex and Jon - on paper it certainly looks like we can go 11-1 or 12-0. But we all know that real-life football is different from the paper. It can come down to many factors. I hope Lanning figures out how to adjust in-game and the players are as physical and tough as they can be. Go Ducks!
  8. This 8-month-long football drought really does suck. Can we have an abbreviated spring season or just start the season then and take a break in summer if needed? Long shot I know, but why not, since everyone likes it and there is more $$$ for E$PN and the players...
  9. One of the storylines, I believe was on WSJ, was that Cig's team didn't practice too hard. That made sense considering the experience of his players this year. They really just need to be taugh to play smart and mistake-free. Will that work with younger players? CFB is exciting because the team changes so much from year to year, unlike the NFL. If Cig can win another Natty, or even make it to Semi-Final, this year, that will be quite a legend by itself. Let's change the focus back to OBD, Coach Lanning!
  10. Yeah, kinda glad they lost without Nix. But what a shame that Nix doesn't get to play in the Championship games!
  11. Great insight, David. It makes complete sense that making the playoff now is the new bowl season. Think about the 4-team PO days, it only mattered if one mad it to the PO or the other 5 major bowls, so that's 8 games and 16 teams. Before the 4-team PO, it was just the Natty and 5 bowls, so that's 6 games and 12 teams. So we are really just shuffling the post-season around, plus a dusting of all the crazy money-driven NIL/Portal fun...
  12. I used to root for him when he played at Tulane. But guys like him who lack integrity need to learn a lesson. Hope Duke teaches him one! But hey - so glad that we are not like Duke, who is just a proving ground for these players - they lost the QB to ND, Beavers and who-knows-where, in 3 consecutive seasons. Ouch!
  13. I say we will make it to the final and maybe get blown out there... 😀☹️
  14. Texas still has better odds than OBD. How many more times do they have to hook themselves?
  15. "It shouldn't come as a huge surprise that Perich wanted to transfer to a program like Oregon. They play on a much bigger stage than a program like Minnesota..." So glad to be a Duck!
