That's the uniform the Ducks should wear when they play for the National Championship.

With four year now to judge, I think it is fair to suggest (not unlike Kirby), Dan is at his core a pretty conservative coach (efficiency offense, bend-but-don't-break defense). I think that is what we should expect to continue to see, even with coordinator changes. I also expect more sacks and pressures this year (as well as more vertical passing success); but, more from individual talented/experienced players making more plays, than any significant coaching, scheme, or play-calling changes. With a talent composition rating on 247 of #3 (and I have argued #2 when just looking at probable two deeps), it is not an unreasonable choice (don't risk shooting yourself in the foot by taking many risky calls, instead sum up and rely upon the benefit of winning a greater percentage of individual battles over the course of a game). Dan doesn't loose to teams with talent disadvantages, and really neither do Smart or Day. The open question is will Dan adjust at all against the other 10%? Makes me think a bit about Nick Aliotti. A guy often know as very bend-but-don't-break. I always though, while I understood the rep, Nick was always willing to dial up the pressure and take risks when he had talent advantages (or at least guys he trusted). I am not sure we have seen Dan trust to do that too often yet? I've seen a couple breakdowns of the Indiana games this offseason showing guys regularly open but Dante running around with pressure in his face unable to find them. This D appears to loathe risking those open guys (and that's kind of how most of college football plays it in 2026). Indiana was interesting because often they didn't appear so worried (maybe Texas Tech too but I haven't see enough of them to really offer that observation with confidence). A working theory on Cignetti is he is taking advantage on a calculated basis of a lot of the conservatism that has crept into the college game today.

I think we get more sacks because the secondary should be better than last year. No where to throw the ball and their the QB has to throw it away or they go down. Veteran QBs know to throw it away quick but the younger ones will hold onto it and go down.

These are fine.. like many I am ready for Generation O to go away (next year!). Again, its the color palette just doesn't allow for much mix and matching. There are two sets of gear the Retros and the Modern and they don't mix. That's my biggest complaint. But the biggest takeaway here is.... Devon Jackson getting to spotlight the uniforms. Usually the player who gets to spotlight the uni is someone who has worked their tail off during practice. I've heard that Jackson might have the breakout year we've all wanted to see from his this year. Let's hope that's the case!

Based on the players interviews talking about pocket destruction and creating a cage around the QB, I don't think the defensive line philosophy has changed any. Their 1st job is still to contain the QB in the pocket. Getting to the QB is secondary. That appears to be a Dan Lanning thing, not a Tosh thing. I do think we get a few more sacks this year simply due to the massive pass rush upgrades Nasir Wyatt and Mathew Johnson offer. There is also a chance that our new DC will call more LB and secondary blitzes as well. Just my 2 cents reading the tea leaves.

Spot On. UVA is the oldest team in CFB this season, and QB Pribula played well coming off an injury he suffered last season at Missouri. Georgia has many players returning from a young 2025 team that won another SEC title, plus an underrated QB in Gunner Stockton. The schedule is daunting but not as bad as the last two seasons. In 2026, the Sugar and Orange Bowls are semifinal game bowl sites, and teams are not tied to historic bowl sites. If seeded high enough, Georgia could play its opening 2nd-round game in the Peach Bowl. But there could be a lot of competition for a Peach Bowl spot if the B1G champ is from the Midwest, Miami wins the ACC, and Notre Dame finishes in the top 4. I think UGA wins the SEC and advances to the semifinals, at least.
