I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but I want to see an entire front 7 of velociraptors!

I think it says more about the man that he honors his commitments to the kids he started the year with. I am pretty sure that allowing him to complete the playoffs with GA was a big reason we got him. It always ticks me off to see a coach move on for himself and leave his team high and dry. I think that is putting I before team. WT an MC both did it, and soured me on them.

I think it was a good hire. He checks most of the boxes most importantly he has fire in his belly, he is a hard worker, the coaches he’s worked for sing his praises, and his players like playing for him. I gotta believe he will do fine at Oregon with all the support and amenities that are available. I am more than willing to trust in OBD and our system of supporting student athletes to usher Coach Lansing into becoming the coach we deserve. Lets give him the chance, support him while he grows, and see if we can give him the A+ a year from now.

Noah already said he was jazzed about Lansing, in fact he almost went to play for him instead of OR. I get it, you don’t like the pick, but it has been made. As fans, our job is to support the team. Yes, the sky could fall and the Ducks never win another game, but I believe we’re gonna do fine. Go Ducks!

That would be nice to keep McClendon! Other than he and Moorhead, who are we gonna have coaching the Alamo Bowl?

I think the reward outweighs the risk. The ceiling just got raised! I think I am a Bulldog fan for their remaining games in this CFP!

Thank you for your service guys! Enjoy the game.

Thanks for the link Grandpa Duck! If we were to try a DC with no HC experience as a HC, Lanning sounds like the right guy. Correct me if I am wrong, but weren’t Bellotti and Kelly both OCs with no HC experience when they were selected as HC?

Kurt, do they serve it cold or warm in the bars over there?

My only complaint about the Nut Brown is they run out of it a lot!

Isn’t speculation just about all we’ve been doing since Mario left?

Thanks for sharing Just Ducky! I got a brother and a good friend that likes the watered down beer too. Just no accounting for taste I guess😃

Caldera Coconut Porter out of Ashland, Deschutes Black Butte Porter, and Wild River Brewery’s Nut Brown Ale! Nectar of the Gods!

You guys are killin me! I know, Vince Lombardi as HC, Don Coryell as OC, and Mike Singletary as DC! We can get Joe Montana to coach QBs, Mike Ditka to coach TEs, Jerry Rice for the WRs, and Neon Deion for the DBs! Talk about yer DREAM TEAM! What kid wouldn’t want to play here?

I heard he was asking how comfortable the tarmac was…

Is that the same clinic Mario went to?

I truly believe that Mario was a Duck and gave his all to the Ducks right up til Miami enticed him away with a dream job, and I think that enticement started behind the scenes in the week leading up to the first Utah game. He torqued quite a few of us off for leaving the way he did, but it was initiated by Miami boosters and people who were longtime friends. It was his dream job, and he took it. He is a Cane again. I personally think it was a professional mistake for him, but time will bear that out or not. As far as the new coach, I can agree or disagree with the names coming up til the cows come home, and it will not matter. Mullens will hire someone, and like him or not, I will root for the Ducks in every game they play. Go Ducks!

Radcliffe is still on staff at U of O, serves the other teams, just not football. I don’t remember his players getting hurt as much as Feld’s do.

I think I’d leave Kiffin on the tarmac…

Overall, not a bad take on the situation. I find myself I’m agreement with a lot of it.

Yea, he’d stick around Eugene😆

I think you are right 1Ducker1, Mario will unfortunately never have it as good as he had it in Oregon, and when he doesn’t win the Natty in 3 or 4 years he will get the Diaz treatment.

I think the right hire is going to upset about half of us. People are sharing pros and cons for about every name out there. I’ve heard upside and downside for (insert coach name here), he’s great, he sucks, can’t recruit, stuck in the past, not enough experience, offensive wizard, players coach, retired, under contract…. The list goes on. I think I will trust in the brain trust and root for whoever we get. If I know anything, it is that lots of people (including me) will have lots to say about our vision for OBD!

Great post Duck1984! Wouldn’t that be a great hire🤗
