Desert Duck, I didn’t get the hit that Mullens didn’t see it coming, I got the hit he was miffed by the lack of courtesy and decorum from Miami. And ya gotta admit, it was pretty much a sh*t show the way it went down.

How many coaches are going with him? Has anyone heard?

Thank you Charles for being a voice of reason. We all make choices, and sometimes it is a choice we’d rather not make. Sometimes it’s a choice we’d have made differently under other circumstances, and none of us makes the perfect choice every time. I hope MCs choice pans out for him, I wish him and his family well, and thank them for their service. Now, insert more quarters and push PLAY! While I wish this had played out differently, at the end of the day, I AM A DUCK FAN, and I will root for them regardless of the coach.

Ogeron to Oregon?

Do you think the Alamo Bowl will even offer Oregon? My bad, it seems they already did…

Southwest Duck, you and me both! My gut feeling is a lot of folks will be cursing Mario for leaving and for taking so many of our (his) 4 & 5 star players with him. What do you want to bet the Alamo Bowl takes a pass on the Ducks this year?

I agree with that statement Southwest Duck. I am pretty sure that if MC is a reader of these and other site posts, he’s got the hint that the fans are done with him, so why not move on? i don’t think he will, and hope he stays, but if he does leave, we are losing a lot of awesome talent and next year will be fighting for a bottom feeder bowl. With Mario, we will be in the hunt. Without MC, I think the Ducks will be lucky to win 7 game next year. As I read some of these more anti-Mario posts, I can’t help but think “Be Careful What You Ask For.”

Bama is showing what an accurate QB can do for an offense. Are we looking at a rematch as 1&4 or 2&3?

I seem to remember Helfrich had a hard time coaching up QBs not named Marcus Mariota.

And it didn’t start late in the game, it was that way from the opening drive. No earthly reason not to give one of the Freshman QBs a shot in the 2nd half.

How many Ducks not named Sewell balled out for the entire game? 10 or 12? Just asking the forum. I don't recall seeing a lot of “playing with hair on fire” or “leaving it on the field.”

True that Mike, and what makes it worse is that they are getting this ridiculous amount of $$ from “Institutes of Higher Education.” You’d think they would know better…

I too, am amazed at the levels of upset when the Ducks lose. I too, remember the feeling of a “winning season” where we actually won MORE games than we lost! If the football gods smile on us today the flavor of the posts next week will be sweet, how great it will be to be a Duck. We will pontificate the astuteness of the coaching, the athleticism of our young men, and the prowess of the referees. If the football gods smile on Utah, the timbre of the posts will be bitter. Never mind that we finished 9-3 and went to a (mid-level) bowl game. We will decry the ineptitude of the coaches, the bumbling of the players and the blindness of the refs. I personally will miss any coaches who chose to leave, and appreciate the one who stay. Win, lose or draw, I plan to watch the bowl game and root for the Ducks all the way. I will follow that by rooting for MBB, WBB, Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, Golf teams. May the football gods smile on our Ducks today, may the ball bounce on our direction. Let our boys be swift of foot and sure of hand. Let all the months of training result in crisp blocking, sure tackling, open pass routes, accurate throws and yards after contact. Go Ducks!

Per MC! I certainly hope Our Ducks come out and play to their potential tomorrow The debacle at Rice Eccles field was a case of the Ducks playing their worst football of the year on the same day the Utes had their best day. It shouldn’t happen again.

Dr. Jack you absolutely friggin nailed it! All Oregon coaches are supported in ways that few if any can match. From the world-class and cutting edge facilities to the extraordinary student athlete support structure, most coaches simply don’t get that level of support from the Universities.

Oregon 21- Utah 17, 1 turnover, 1 sack. 225 yards in the air, 250 yards on the ground. I hope. Go Ducks!
