If I'm following the bracket rules and want the best 12 teams for the playoffs it would be: Oregon Georgia Arizona State Boise State Ohio State Penn State Texas Notre Dame Tennessee Indiana South Carolina Clemson I feel that 5-8 are interchangeable, as well as 9-12. BSU and ASU would be in that 9-12 tier, but for the seeding. What I think we'll get in a half hour from the committee is: Oregon Georgia BSU ASU Texas Notre Dame Penn State Ohio State Tennessee Indiana Alabama Clemson

I was a major proponent of the idea that B1G defenses were good because their offenses are bad. In hindsight I believe it's both. No way this Ducks team doesn't get to 45+ points multiple times in the old PAC 12. At the same time, no way does our defense have the numbers they did this year against PAC12 offenses.

This was the first time this year I felt the Defensive staff did not properly prepare the players for the opponent. The DL couldn't figure out how to set the edges, the LB were lost much of the time due to the presnap window dressing, and secondary kept blowing assignments against the WR route tree. Not enough hours in the day for the coaches to close out the recruiting class, evaluate a team they didn't prep for all year, and teach the players what to look for and how to handle it in film study and against the scout team.

It creates a level playing field for once with the ranked choice voting. No McCaffrey screw overs, it will be close and be down to what is valued most.

This was my biggest concern in this game. I'm glad we stayed injury free. Now if we can stay injury free in practice that would be even better.

YES! In goes James! James looks so fresh tonight, like it's the first game of the year. Somehow I don't think that will be enough points, although it was huge that Penn State went for 2 and didn't get it. Defense at least needs to keep Penn State from big plays. Make them chew up the clock.

A wide pass that gets a yard feels like massive victory, a loss feels normal. It's not spreading the field, it's just wasting downs. Of course for some reason Penn State should be pressuring every down. I don't know why they rushed 3 on the 3rd down play.

That QB run is an example of what Mike West is worried about. Why didn't Ugielele feel compelled to set the edge? The lead blocker was outside him, and still he paused to make sure the QB couldn't cut back in. Yuck.

I think he's pretty frustrated. The guards are experts a holding our DL when they try to get down the line side to side to make a play. Has Cardwell come back in since his injury?

#11 for Penn State is seriously bad news for the NFL. He's immediately going to be the best LB in the field nearly every game as a rookie.
