  1. Allioti did wonders with the personel Oregon was able to recruit (No transfer portal). I bet he absolutely would have LOVED to coach a defensive team, with the players, that Oregon is able to field now. We probably would have seen some schemes, from that top defensive mind, that he could never, confidently install during his time here. But, yes I do believe we will be "surprising" a few teams in the B1G, this year. When they discover that our defense....bites back! Go Ducks!
  2. Well if it is any consolation it is my, unverifiable, belief that we have been involved in an escalated "cyber warfare" for most of 2024. Just not widely "suggested" or "reported", since it is a real good way to cause Digital Panic, in a society built around and dependent upon, the digital world. That being said THANK YOU Sir Charles for being that "Guardian at the Gate. Allows us to submerse ourselves in our OBD forum and for a little while get to "forget" the external powers being wielded, that directly effect our lives in so many impactful ways. Justa letsa messa "Duck Out", and let the rest of the world "fall where it may". After all, isn't "sports" that universal "release" that satisfies our ingrained, natural, competitive nature in All of us? I think so. Go Ducks!
  3. Wow. In no way shape or form would a media rights deal for the conference formally known as the PAC12 would have even come close to the MINIMUM that will be made through these varied revenue streams, the half share only being one of those revenues. Duck Football is positioned, quite well, to "cash-in", Now and into the near future, on the several additional revenue streams available by Being "in" the B1G. Hate as much as the next guy about the conference formally known as the PAC12 being "gone"; but cannot blame the "program" for acting in the best financially responsible way to continue to meet or exceed the longterm goals or plans. Yeah, the half share thing is not nearly as B1G of a financial issue when you take these other revenue opportunities into account. Go Ducks!
  4. No Conference or National Titles under Dan Lanning's, short, tenure at Oregon. A "weakness" I optimistically expect to be addressed over the next six months! 🦆🏈🪨's
  5. Well with all the recruiting successes D. Lanning and company have been able to achieve, it's good to know that they are still just human, and have their "shortcomings". Not sure what the "nothing" position group all entails, but I'm confident that through the portal, or more HS recruiting, D. Lanning and company are ON IT, and will more than satisfy the needs at that "nothing" position group! 😋 Go Ducks! 👍
  6. 🤣 "Big DUCK Energy"....Lovin' It!!!! 😁
  7. Not even played a single game from a single sport in the B1G and WE be planting those seeds, to live forevermore in our new conferences "heads"! Beavis, OooCLA (they're in LA), USuC, and the Buttsniffers from up north can all attest to having the Oregon Ducks living in their heads. We just be expanding our "head worms" to a whole new level of frustrating our opponents! Go B1G Ducks!
  8. Oh I am sure you meant "Duck-bumps! It's alright we ALL get a brain-freeze every now and again...just ask Foster, the UCLA coach...lol. 😋
  9. Sshhhhh....Don't give those marketing teams any ideas. Going to have to top our "top duck", and that might be the only way to do it! 😮 ...and just HOURS away from first day of training camp. For me, the season starts tomorrow. GO DUCKS!
  10. Hmmm...seems the NFL-Lite world is starting to see the (Duck) writing on the wall! I'd be "salty" too watching the "Oregon passion" bypass any and all attempts to squash its momentum. Just DAYS left until Fall Camp. Can't hardly wait! Go Quackers!
  11. Man O Man ...the ultimate "brain-freeze, at exactly the Wrong Time! Painful.
  12. Now that's one B1G Quack! Love It!
  13. Row, row, row your "Duck", gently down the stream. Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, a National Championship for Thee! 😁
  14. Shame that it comes to this but just another repercussion of conference realignment and 12, to 16, team playoff. As with most of the "traditions" of ,college to NFL-lite, that are to be abandoned or altered to suite the new paradigm. (TV) Money Talks.
  15. "Decade of The Duck". Hmmm. I like the sound, and promise, of that. Let's go make it so! Go Ducks!
  16. From within the article posted: >>>"Bowl season should consider a handful of venues and host multiple games at the same site — and those games should be played over the course of two to three days. Bowl season would take on a feel more akin to the March Madness hub locations where fans could go to multiple games."<<< Although a lot of venues would be "butthurt" by getting dropped from the oversaturated "bowl-season as it currently is; this idea would probably "fly" guite well. Kinda like what the NIT is to "March-Madness in college basketball. But, with paychecks. An interesting idea in helping keep the "bowl-season" alive, but streamlined and promoted to make the "second-tier" games more interesting and more than just "glorified spring games". Ok. Now on to the important stuff! Just a week out until fall camp. My, oh, my has it been a Loooonnnngggg off-season. CAN'T WAIT! GO DUCKS!
  17. How the times have changed. Use to be that the Oregon Ducks was the team "circling opponents" upcoming on their schedules, as a team to beat for a "signature" win against a blueblood. NOW we are that team that EVERYONE would Love to beat for THE "quality" win of the season. What a time to be a Duck! 🦆🏈🪨's!
  18. Now THAT is an Oregon "Green" that can only be outdone by our Oregon Division Street "Green"! To coin a phrase from a generation or two behind me. That Be One "Dope" Green! (and do they even say that anymore in 2024). Let's Go. Generation "O"!
  19. Unfortunately the human animal brain wants to simplify most any situation to its most simple and basic explanation, for this is how our biology and how human brains "self-preservation hardwire" tend to work. (Can't sit there contemplating the ramifications of the Sabertooth Tiger charging you as it's next meal). Your brain, instantly, breaks that down to the most basic fight or flight response, based on the Limited, but apparent, information coming in via the senses. So we tend to embrace the knee-jerk, generalized, explanation for ...reasons...fulfilling that basal instinct to "know" what the limited amount of information we observe actually means or represents. So, that being said it never surprises me when the reaction to a "win or loss" in the NIL world is so over-generlized regarding the reasons why. Yes, "The Bag" may be a new "legal" dynamic in NFL-Lite recruiting, both out of high school and the portal, but player fit, relationships, long-term goals, development, and needs of both player and program are still huge factors on why a player decides his football future. We probably Don't want the player that is simply looking to get paid, over all other conciderations. I do not believe that Oregon Division Street is simply "throwing money" at all five and four stars out there. I DO believe that Division Street has a valid business plan and a cutting edge vision of NIL and are not the "lynch pin" that future "men of Oregon" solely base their decisions on. Division Street is simply the NIL branch of a larger organization and NOT the driver of that organization. I may be wrong, money generating ventures during my lifetime do seem to "digress" and start to compromise the values they were founded on when the "easy money" dries up and it becomes more and more difficult to "compete" at previous levels of success; but I hope and pray that Division Street avoids this trap and, like the OBD's over the past 25 years, leads NFL-lite in how NIL should be part of a "package" and not just a means to an end. Thanks for attending my TED talk. I'll be here all week. 😎 Go Ducks!
  20. As it has been said: "Well, in a perfect world, Yes." Unfortunately, there is no such thing. But, Imma gonna be lovin' it till it comes to fruition. GO DUCKS. Go get that elusive "Natty"!
  21. Why Georgia football biggest hurdle in title race could be Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks WWW.DAWGNATION.COM Oregon football could be Georgia football biggest challenger for 2024 CFP national championship I believe this is a link to the article referenced. Yeah. Dan Lanning is a "known" coaching commodity and top programs around the country...KNOW THIS! Thanks for the post SoGADawg!
  22. Your play analysis and insight is one of the reasons I Love participating in this forum. Always feel I could take these observations and become a darn good football coach myself. (Of course, successful coaching is Sooooo much more than just play calling). But, WATCH OUT, NCAA 2024 I have a plethora of "Duck" plays I will be unleashing on my digital opponents! Thanks Mr. FishDuck for exposing more of the nuances of OBD's offensive prowess and how it can give "fits" to opposing defensive coordinators. Keep up the good work! Go Mr. fishDuck and OBD's. 🦆🏈🪨's.
  23. Well....duhhh...tell us something us Duck fans don't already know. Dan Is The MAN! 😁
  24. Pre-season AND early season polls are fan fodder. Gives something to "cuss and discuss" when nothing of substance is really actually happening. Agreed that any polls before weeks 5-6 are simply for "positioning" to give the illusion of top 25, early season, matchups. Only skews higher rankings for the conferences that have more teams initially ranked, than may be actually deserving of said rankings. (Thinking of Tennessee in the BCS ERA, initially ranked top 5 and finished with like 5 losses). Anyway! Look how high the Ducks are ranked in ALL these polls! Must mean a Natty is inevitable THIS YEAR! Makes us feel good as Duck fans butttt sitting here on the 8th of July they all are meaningless speculation. Gotta have something to talk about in the 24 hour sports news cycle, right? Go Ducksters!
