  1. That's it. A playoff consisting of Conference Champions, 2 wildcard's and a Group of 5 doesn't cut it with the SEC. It wants "The Best Teams" with No restrictions on how many can be from one conference.
  2. You are right, change it to, "Dead Man Walking"
  3. As messy as firing Lake looks lke it could be, I think bringing him back after his suspension, which would not have happened if the Huskies were playing better, or if they had beaten Oregon, just won't work. Pardon the expression, but Lake is a Lame Duck,
  4. That's a winner! I did like Klatt's idea of doing away with Divisions, and "diluting" The Committee. However many members, whatever their "Guidelines & Protocols" still end up with what happened in Week 2. It is not a Playoff, but an Invitational, when the teams are picked by a committee
  5. Michigan State beats Michigan, the CFP Committee puts Michigan above Michigan State. Alabama, Cincinnati, don't cover, but either stay where they are, or move up. Yes, the CFP is broken, or actually running just the way it's supposed to.
  6. Joel Klatt breaks down his plans to fix the CFP, and a lot of them have been discussed right here at OBD Joel Klatt Proposes Big Changes to College Football Playoff Ashton Pollard www.on3.com
  7. You tell it like it is, CJ. If Oregon wants to become a team that has seasons and games like this on a regular basis they have to win this one, and win it decisively.
  8. It seems like Borghi has been there forever, and holding a WSU QB to 176 passing yards seems ridiculous...except it's been done, on average, 3 times already this season. How that was done, and Borghi didn't compensate on the ground, seems to be the key to beating the Cougs, Defending WSU seems to be the more difficult chore, but Oregon is averaging more points per game than Washington State.
  9. I think the green will be saved for OSU, I think the Ducks could be in the black Saturday night.
  10. Unfortunately, ASU is in Seattle, Stanford is in Corvallis, who rebounds from their lost weekend, the Beaver or the Tree?
  11. Thanks Jon, at least there will be a lot of important games to watch as we wait until the Ducks & Cougs . I agree that Mendenhall is a good candidate for either UCLA or UW.
  12. Cincy -23.5 at South Florida on Friday, so if they win 17-13, they move up?
  13. Absolutely, we saw last week how it works, Oregon covered, moved up 1, OH. St and Cincy escaped with W's and moved up, Alabama slept walked over LSU and stayed at 2. When the Committee wakes up on Sunday, they'll see Oregon's score on SportsCenter.
  14. His dad was more fun. "Playoffs!"
  15. I will be rooting for Purdue on Saturday.
  16. It does come down to Oregon against WSU, Utah, OSU and the Championship game against tOSU against Purdue, Michigan State, Michigan and the BIG Championship.
  17. A lot of games to remember, and a big one coming on Saturday. Ducks history: Oregon vs. Washington State has provided thrilling outcomes over the years. Zachary Neel duckswire
  18. As far as I know the Kent's are the only father/son broadcast team going today, and I agree they were good. I agree it would have been better if Ernie (Million Moves) Kent had filled time reminiscing about his playing time at Oregon instead of opining for Texas Southern
  19. As noted, Guerrier played on his ankle if he can play on Friday, it looks good for him, takes Friday off, maybe he's okay for BYU on Tuesday, looks like day to day for Kepnang.
  20. My answer to your first question is that your scenario of Cardwell and McGee; maybe Thompson and Williams doing more through the air sounds like a good plan for 2022, as for Dye being necessary for the Ducks the rest of this season...YES! Cristobal said a while back that Dye is as crucial to Oregon's success as any player is to their team's success and wasn't overstating it at all. 4 TD's in a row against Colorado, 200+ yards in a storm against Washington. He doesn't have the speed, and he won't end up with the stats that other great Oregon RB's put up, but he's every bit as important.
  21. They'll have to pass that along to the Powers that Be...(SEC & ESPN) and get back to us, Ole Miss offense with Kiffin calling the plays and Corral at QB could be more than A & M D can handle,
