Oregon is the Most Unlikely No. 1...
Great game tonight with Oregon coming back from 18 down to win by 7. Used a lot of different guys tonight and showed that they have great depth on the bench.

Lanning Leaving: What We Know... (WHEW!)
The NIKE stock option could be quite the incentive to stay long term. College football really is turning into big a corporation, complete with employee stock based compensation. Big corporations have been doing this for a long time to attract and keep the best talent, guess it makes sense for football now. How long before top QB prospects are getting a Nike stock option? Might be just the incentive to locking down the best players as well. Football is going fully corporate.🤢🤮

Penix ... a Fatal Flaw Exposed?
Penix didn't look right from the beginning, the whole team came out with a deer in the headlights look. Hard to win a big time game when you take the first quarter off, kind of like what the ducks did in the PAC-12 championship. I've often wondered if playing in a dome affects the QBs. In basketball it's very common for players to have off shooting nights in large domes when they're used to playing in small gyms. If memory serves me right Bo hasn't looked as good throwing in games in domes. In the Georgia Dome and Allegiant Stadium his throws were shaky to start the game. I haven't watched a lot of Washington games but Penix was missing some very easy throws at the start of the game.

I Was WRONG About Jackson Shelstad...
I can't believe they have done so well down low. Most the time it's Evans guarding a guy way bigger than him and he's doing well. On the weak side down low you have Couisnard 6'4", Tracy 6'5", or Oquendo 6'4" garding the 4 spot. Lucky all these guys have some beef to them at 220bl + and surprisingly they aren't getting pushed around with some pretty decent rebounding.

The Ducks could have easily beaten the Mutts if they were aloud to hold there receives every play.

Hope we don't lose Lanning to ESPN, he's having to much fun.

The mutts took a quarter off. That generally doesn't work out well.

Michigan vs. Washington CFP Championship Pre-game Discussion
Dose Michigan have 3 NFL ready DBs? I don't think so, good luck stopping Penix and his NFL level WRs. With Penix pinpoint throws and the talent WRs a 50-50 ball is more like 96% ball. Hate to say this but Penix is the real deal and the best pure passer in all of college ball.

Sugar Bowl Thread: Washington vs. Texas
I believe if we had a better kicker he would have found it less necessary to go for it. By the end of the season even I thought going for on 4th and goal was the better of 2 evals.

Just one kicker short of making that happen.

Soak This UP While You Can....
Stanford is up on Arizona by 15 with under 4 minutes left to play

Saturday Bowls: Let's Discuss!
I totally agree with you. While they're at it they need to overhaul the NIL rules and probably the entire NCAA bylaws.

Mens Basketball: Oregon Beats UCLA 64-59!
He could be a 4 year player for that very reason, not many 6' PG getting drafted very high nowadays.

I Was WRONG About Jackson Shelstad...
One of the things I see from Shelstad is that he is the it guy that this team has been missing since Pritchard went to the NBA. Evans seams to command a lot of respect as well and he stands to make people around him better. With those 2 and Cook the future looks bright.

Mens Basketball: Oregon Beats UCLA 64-59!
The ducks are looking good so far. Can't believe they're holding down the middle with Evans at 6'9" 220bl and Diawara at 6'10" 265bl. To be honest Diawara is only averaging 16 minutes a game, most the time a 6'4" guard is in the 4 spot. Dana is coaching some great small ball with lots of ball movement and tenacious defence. Can't wait to have Cook and Dante back.

Saturday Bowls: Let's Discuss!
The selection committee is breathing a sigh of relief with the way FSU is playing. Way overrated as many suspected.

Sudden Video Blaring at You? Slow Loading on Mobile Phone?
I always use my phone. In the past, months ago the site was loading Slow. Video ads start a little while ago and I can't recall having one pop up in the last few days. The site sealed to be loading at normal speeds for me.

Aaron Flowers Named One of the Biggest Impact Recruits for 2024
A dominating Safety has been a position of need in the Ducks backfield since McKinley III went to be the NFL. Can't wait to resume the history of great safeties at Oregon.

How to Cook a Steak: I’m Disappointed in Dan Lanning

How to Cook a Steak: I’m Disappointed in Dan Lanning
Some of the finest restaurants in the world cook their steak in a pan. First make sure it's screaming hot then seasoning your steaks right before putting them in the pan. Second make sure you sear the steak forming a nice crust flip and immediately based in butter, garlic and thyme for about 1 minute then finish in the oven till internal temp hits 112. Let rest for 5 minutes, the temp will continue to rise as you let it rest, then serve. Yes it's a French technique taught all over the world at the finest culinary institutes. That being said do I like a steak cooked over wood, you betcha. The problem is it takes a lot longer to burn the wood down to coals to properly cook with. Then there's your access to properly seasoned wood and the type of wood factor to in. I definitely give Dan a pass on this one, although he does need work on his searing technique.

Florida State Might Be Joining B1G?
Didn't think of them but now that you mention it Kansas could be a even better fit then bringing in two private schools. One USC is enough not to mention having to put up with ND another perennial overrated team. Never have been a Duke fan.

Where Our Coaches Rank in the BIG and Nationally in Regard to Recruiting
The only thing that matters is where the team ends up. This is a very encouraging sign that Lanning is doing his job the way it should be done. As the CEO of the team he needs to be able to delegate and concentrate on all the players coming in not just the glory of being the primary on the big recruits. Dan is doing this extremely well and the numbers show it. With the team having a top 5 recruiting class and Lanning ranked in the '60s that means he's a team player with a leadership roll. As a small business owner you know you're doing a good job when every one is shouldering the burden equally and working as a team.

Florida State Might Be Joining B1G?
If I had a vote I'd bring in ND and Duke. We all now what ND brings, Duke is intriguing. They bring a consistent football program with one of the most storied basketball programs ever into the B1G. I have not looked it up but I'm sure Duke has one of the biggest followings in all of men's basketball, I know basketball isn't the big moneymaker but it does make money. Bringing high viewership in the month of January, February, and March certainly would make the media guys happy.

I'm Not Convinced Gabriel Will Help Oregon.
You hit the nail on the head. Unless you are one of the big money guys out of highschool going to a school with an open spot your way better off starting at lesser school and catching the payday later.

I'm Not Convinced Gabriel Will Help Oregon.
His VA like elusiveness is exciting. He only threw 6 INTs and he's airing it out down the field with accuracy and extremely capability. He definitely has what it takes, now let's cross our fingers and hope he delivers.
