Can Anybody Play 4 Quarters of Football?
I've been wondering, has NIL made for more parity or mediocrity? Sounds like a potential future article. Hope someone gets on that. 🤭

The Answers I’m Watching for With the 2024 Ducks
Issues, not problems. I like that, and I agree. The Ducks have issues each week they can work to improve, not glaring problems. Call them growing pains. It's why we actually play the games. Nothing beats in-game experience. Tonight I want to see the continued improvement of our defense. I want to see few or none presnap penalties. And I want to see no easy points left on the field (like Tez missing a wide open Patrick). And no looking forward to next week. 1 game at a time. Let's Go Ducks!

High Praise For Ferguson
It all depends on who drafts him. He has physical abilities and soft hands, he will have a career in nfl. Maybe/probably not super stardom, but successful nonetheless.

Are Oregon Transfers Forever Ducks?
Great question Mr. Marsh. I've been pondering this myself for the past few years, I'm so glad you brought it up. And I love the variety of responses. We all seem to use varying criteria to define what is a "Duck". They all have validity. For me, I've decided each case must be decided on its own based on 1. How does the player feel about Oregon, and 2. How do I feel about that player. Example 1. Travis Dye gave us everything he had, just like Troy, while he was here. His transfer was more about personal reasons, and so my memory of him is good. So to me, he's a Duck. Example 2. Slick Willy. He was dishonest and clearly used us for personal gain. Not a Duck. Most transfers out go for playing time. Can't blame them. Most transfers in are handpicked by Lanning & Co and are both excellent players and quality characters that add greatness and leadership. Can't help but love them. While Bo Nix considers himself a Duck, he also is a 'war eagle' from Auburn and proud of it. Tyler Shough wanted to be a Duck, but also wanted to play and be developed. So he is at his 3rd school and still playing. To me he's a Duck. So I don't use 'once a Duck, always a Duck' as the standard. I go case by case. For me, Bryan Addison doesn't want to be remembered as a Duck. No problem. He isn't. At the end of the day, for me, I guess if the memory of the player, coach, etc brings me joy, then they are a Duck. And some, like Joey or Marcus, are "super" Ducks!! Immortalized forever.

UTEP Joins Mt. West
Does the Scrap-2(?) have the wrong commissioner? Being out-played by the MWC?! Is it too late to merge with the power MWC?

Lanning Discusses Ferguson Hit
I don't disagree. I'm not overly concerned. I think we are improving each week. Replacing 3 NFL starters with new peops takes a bit of adjusting to. Especially at the QB position. Let's peak in Nov. Sept rankings are meaningless.

Did Oregon State Slide Into an Ideal Spot After All?
Let's admit the hard honest truth: OSU has always been a G5 team. Along with WSU. I always have believed that if BSU and WSU or OSU exchanged conferences, WSU(OSU) would play in a bowl every year and BSU wouldn't. So making the Pac12 a G5 conference, makes OSU and WSU top of the league, as long as their recruiting stays at a Pac12 level. That's not likely. I believe BSU will rise to the top. So yeah, OSU is in a "good" place, for a G5 team. Good for them. 😴🥱

Lanning Discusses Ferguson Hit
I'm not trying to be critical, but I thought Dillon Gabriel was a little off in the game. Many of his throws were a little late or behind receiver. Tez did slip on the INT but DG was hesitant and late with the throw. I like how well we played considering it wasn't DG's best game. I look forward to Fri night.

Oregon Still Undefeated, So Why Are Some Ducks Fans Unhappy?
We have yet to play a full 60 minutes of "Oregon football". But we've finished Sept 4-0. Each week seems to be different issues. So we are moving forward. If Tez's pass to Patrick had not been so overthrown, and if his slip in the endzone not helped the pick 6...that's 14 points and we're not talking about not being tough enough. We are one-third through the season, ranked 6th. A good place to be. Now we continue to improve each week so that come late Nov we are at our best. It's impossible to play your best every game for a whole season, especially when the team you're playing is so less talented. To me only Texas looks tough. UGA came out flat, and Bama disappeared 2nd half. tOSU hasn't played anyone as tough as BSU yet. No one has peaked yet. I think we OBD fans are expecting too much too soon. This Friday night will be a great test. A short week with a night game will show if coaches can have the men ready. This game also has all the signs of a potential trap game, so how we play will show us a lot. MSU lost to tOSU last week 38-7. That will be the standard. Our goal is to better that score. And to keep improving each week.

So Ferguson Had to Leave the Game, and it was NOT Targeting?
Because of the chippiness of the game, I think it was smart not to play Dante Moore. No need to risk injury with a cheap shot. Plus, Novosad has earned playing time.

So Ferguson Had to Leave the Game, and it was NOT Targeting?
UCLA did play chippy all night. Some play was worse than others. It is very disconcerting when a player lays a big hit and the player appears injured, to see any type of celebration. Not a good move by Addison. And no reason for "revenge" or proving anything, he's the one who left! Anyway, karma may have bitten him back as he suffered what appears to be a knee injury later in the game and didn't return. Good for Dillon to stand up to bullies. Next time he should bring an O-lineman with him.

Let's Discuss! CFB College Football GameDay (All Other Games on 9-28)
Bad call on that UG 2 pt attempt. Looked more like defensive holding imo. By going for 2, would help with momentum and give an edge after scoring 3 more tds. And if you missed, we'll plenty of time for a field goal or another 2 pt try. I liked the call.

Let's Discuss! CFB College Football GameDay (All Other Games on 9-28)
Yeah, UG defense looks hesitant. Bama is rockin! As for pom poms, Oregon has given them out in the past. I have quite a few, all yellow. I put them hanging from my trunk on game days.

Let's Discuss! CFB College Football GameDay (All Other Games on 9-28)
Great win for Kentucky! First time win at Ol Ms since 1978. Ever since coach Brooks was there I like to cheer for UK. They earned that win! How many spots will UM drop...2? Indiana now 5-0. Will they make top 25? Purdue is really bad.

Elite Recruiting Mountain Too High for Ducks’ Lanning?
The state of Oregon has never been a hotbed of football talent. 2025 is a down year, usually we get 1 or 2 and some 4☆. We have always relied on CA athletes, thus we say "sco ducks". In my opinion, Lanning & Co are doing an amazing job! We have landed the #1 recruit out of all the western states; ID, WA, AZ, CO, NV, and many of the top CA. Also top players fom MI, MN, NJ, FL, MO & more. And that's when we were Pac12. Being in the B1G should only help. I don't know if we will ever become "top 4" every year. But we certainly will be in the running for every player DL wants. Winning the Natty and being an NFL pipeline will also help. I am curious to see recruiting for the next few years. NIL monies are playing a huge part, bigger then we realize. Will that continue? How will the House case settlement effect teams and spending? Will new coaches at Bama and MI change anything? Can Sark actually coach a winning season for an entire year? Is Lanning going to develop into the next winningest coach? I believe we are already recruiting at the elite level. We need to just win, baby.

Pig-2 Getting Receipts, and NOT Liking Reality...
How much you wanna bet, that at the end of the day, Osu and Wsu join the MWC. That's really their best option. But, denial requires trying every other door first. We shall see.
