  1. Winning is entertainment! But I'm on board to watch the adjustments live and continue to learn. That's why I love Fishduck in the 1st place. Go Ducks! Shuck the Huskers!! 🦆🦆🦆
  2. I'm all in on Brock if no Dante. He has a quick release and knows the offense. He can get it done.
  3. Um, we need to win a few more games 1st. I'd like to see us rebound and play spoiler. Still a lot of season left. If Dante can return healthy. If the O-line can produce a run game. If we can get a little more creative on 3rd/4th and 1... We can still write our own destiny. C'mon guys, Go Ducks!!
  4. I'm a Duck fan for life. But if our roster is really getting paid more than $40 MILLION!!? I'm at a loss for words of understanding.
  5. Hey, anyone want a good deal on a brand new Duck jersey? I'll never wear it again.
  6. You are correct. All I was saying was that Chesney isn't the great guru. We don't need to swap coaches. But yeah, something major needs to happen for the offense and I'm finally convinced that maybe it's the OC. I mean, the defense is the reason we had any chance at all.
  7. I just gotta say one thing: As bad as we played, and we were HORRIBLE!, we still had a shot at winning this game! Chesney is good, but he didn't beat us. 6 t/o. We beat ourselves. So don't everyone give up, just yet.
  8. Big mistake by Offord on that 1st play. Looking in for the run the whole time. Don't do it again!
  9. Ducks win 37 - 24 2 - t/o 2 - saks 278 yds
  10. I gotta believe our Ducks play better each week. I believe in our coaches and players. But, I do have 2 concerns: How does Dylan respond as the starter. His poise last week was truly amazing having to step up in backup ( though it was almost a full game). Will his 1st start in front of a full Autzen crowd be any different. We are rolling out a new hyped up uniform. I'm superstitious about those games. We have had a few major flops in these games. Can we overcome the hype.
  11. This week's rankings are indeed 'rank'. 😵 The SEC prejudice is overwhelming. Wisconsin hammers MSU and drops out?! I can only hope that eventually the extra loss for half the SEC will catch up to them. When will the quality of actual teams played mean something. Meanwhile, I am very glad we get UCLA, Nebraska and Northwestern at home this year. They are all 3 improving each week and none look easy. Go Ducks! Bury the Bruins!!
  12. In my opinion, character counts a lot. Quality of character. Mr Riley seems short in this department. Poop runs downhill. The poor display of character on the USC team starts with him. He deserves to be OC for a Kiffin team.
  13. Agree that both should lose... But, if USuC wins, they maintain a top 25 ranking. That's good for us. The dawgs can go 0-12 for all I care. I'll be hoping the condoms win.
  14. Btw, I re-watched the game and noticed several USC players made small attempts to have #8 stop his celebrating. So even some players thought he was wrong. More then just their QB.
  15. Pretty cool for Oregon fans. Too busy for others. I like the multiple lines in the O for track lanes of Hayward and for color highlights for our fallen brothers. Our tradition is to be non-traditional.
  16. In the game there were 2 other roughing/targeting the QB hits. There was at least 1 blatant late hit out of bounds. There were many chippy hits, slaps and chirping. I think USC was encouraged to try and play "tough". Without any real mature direction from coaching staff, the play escalated out of control quick. Coaches need to be held accountable too.
  17. To be honest (aren't we all, mostly?) I don't like the idea of Natty or bust. Your season shouldn't be considered lost if you don't win it all. I mean, we've won 13 games the last 2 years in a row! Oh well, this is the age we live in. This system of voting on teams to make the playoffs is bogus. Head to head play seems meaningless. Unless you are in the SEC. They are ALWAYS overrated. Every year. We can only hope that 9 conference games eventually evens things out. But it's absolutely true, playing a decent team out of conference has no upside. OOC games will now be those affordable ticket games for the casual fan. And a chance for potential awards winners padding their stats. Bring on Eastern WA, Coastal Carolina and W. Kentucky. It's time OR matched up with the UM's of football.
  18. Well put Solar. A great emotional win. Smart recruits will know where to go. Lanning and company at their best!
  19. The way the players responded to Dante's injury, speaks well of coaches and team culture. Was a good win. Raiola's composure was evident of experience. His passes could be a bit more decisive, less soft. A long season, more growth needed.
  20. I'm hoping the Moore family files a civil suit against Desmond Stephens and the Trojan team. No place in sports for that type of celebration for an injury. Maybe this will lead to the NCAA to make a few changes. #8 for USuC should miss as many games as Dante.
  21. I think much of the perceived animus about Oregon results from two places: Oregon is still the "new kid on the block". Most analysts graduated elsewhere and Oregon is all flash and uniforms, lite on substance. I.E. not tough like other true "blue bloods". So many analyst still want to believe the SEC is the true power in football. But the B1G has won the last several Natty's and so they are worried. They are jumping at the chance to use any excuse to put down a B1G program. Oregon gave them that opportunity against OSU. And lastly, the Ducks were over hyped in the preseason. We have lots of experience returning but the new coordinators along with a younger O-line make for growing pains early on. I hope that Mr. Fishduck is correct in our being the perceived underdog and overlooked. That could help us play harder. But if we keep winning, by the time we play tOSU in November, we will be known for who we truly are, the amazing DUCKS! Annihilate the Trojans!! 🦆
  22. The biggest issue was the optics of scoring again with 29 seconds left. My question, is 12 TD's really that much worse than 11?! Not to me. I believe the issue is mostly cuz it's Oregon. Don't know why exactly, but we seem to be a team some love to hate on. That and peops who haven't played sports (mostly moms) who are afraid of hurt feelings. Remember the TV intro to 'Wide World of Sports', "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat". That guy falling off the ski jump had to live with that for years! Those PSU players will always remember they played against Oregon. Not whether it was 11 or 12 TD's. Sco Ducks! Overwhelm the Condoms!
  23. We were 48-8 after 4 full seasons with coach Lanning. 4 of those losses were to that seasons eventual national champion. 2 others were to that seasons runner up. That's 6 of 8 losses to teams in the Natty. Not bad for a first time new head coach. I agree losing may end up being the best thing to happen because we as people seem to learn best from adversity. We fans have clearly become spoiled. It's hard not to with as much winning as we have experienced with coach Lanning. A saying I like, "don't doubt in the dark what has been proven to be true in the light". Lanning has hired 3 previous coordinators, all 3 are now head coaches of D1 programs. Pretty good percentage. I gotta believe he knows a thing or two about hiring. So I need to trust the process and give our new OC and DC some room to prove him right. Last week's game was a valuable wake up. Let's hope the coaches learn, the players learn, and this seasons team will reach their real potential. I've been a Duck for 50 years. I gotta believe that this is our year. (Or maybe next year 😉)
