  1. Analytics might support Lanning's decision-making. What Analytics fails to factor is the human side: pressure, momentum, energy levels and the like. Also, defense was horrible. A lot of time on the clock when he went on 4th from 29 yard line. I don't know if punting there would have changed the outcome.
  2. In my best Dan Lanning impersonation" "Hold My Beer"
  3. First time head coach. But yea, he is going to get piled on for sure. Took a loss to Fusky and Beavus. Unacceptable!
  4. Win or lose, horrible effort from the good guys
  5. I will yrade you your beaver brother for my fusky brother
  6. Bennit will get reviewed for targeting here.
  7. Out experting the "experts" isn't a difficult task.
  8. No matter what defense you are in, regardless of what you are asked to do, on 3rd and 7+, make a darn play!
  9. The dogged determination of Nix to lead this Duck team to a win last week should raise some eyebrows. That game will be talked about for decades. Instant classic.
  10. I commented that Ducks would have to score more than 20 to beat the Utes. Being so wrong has never felt so right. The team D Oregon executed last week was outstanding. The tips and QB pressure lead to picks and PBU in the 2nd and 3rd levels. Just a great team effort. Lanning out coached KW. Huge accomplishment. Utes are a highly respected well coached team. Lanning's presser after the Fusky loss was a great moment in Lanning's short tenure. He said "it's on me". Nothing more needed to be said. To go out and beat KW from the sideline like he did shows DL doesn't just throw out coach speak to appease the media. Well done coach!
  11. This is a strong class as is. DL has potential to be one of the best in the country in a couple years.
  12. The attempt to erase the name of this rivalry was done for one reason. Can't dance around it or expect passionate fans to ignore this fact. I am trying super hard to keep my comments above board. Introducing this topic is a serious challenge to OBDF rules. The truth is that the name was dissolved for political reasons. No other reason but politics. Tough to ignore that fact.
  13. Ed Ray: "That we did not act before to change the name was a mistake. We do so now, along with other important actions to advance equal opportunity and justice for all and in recognition that Black Lives Matter.” Thanks Ed, now go back to watching the grass grow
  14. Grrr... its been two years since someone decided we are no longer to call this rivalry " The Civil War ". Nobody has bothered to come up with an adequate replacement. Why? Because it will always be "The Civil War ". People can get sucked up all they want. To me it will always be "The Civil War ". I will never call it something its not. I will not be forced to just because someone got their faux feelings hurt. People can call it what they want. I will call it "The Civil War Game" . Everyone will know what I am talking about. There will be no confusion. Viva Civil War
  15. That Christmas gift aged very well.
  16. In the Ryan Walk interview, great interview by the way, RW indicated Forsyth will be on the field also. Great to hear.
