Further Confirmation that Dickey is Sticking w/ the Ducks
- Oregon Ducks Basketball Poised to Land 2 of Nation's Top 7 Prospects...Kwame Evans Jr. and Mookie Cook
That's great news, but it sounds like landing Cook greatly hinges on securing Evans first. I thought any chance of bringing him back into the fold was long gone. He not only decommited from the Ducks, but he cooled off on them too.- Miami is Pulling Out All the Stops to Flip Dickey
- Miami is Pulling Out All the Stops to Flip Dickey
The mayor of Coral Gables met with him and presented him the Key to the City. Also, the same weekend that he is visiting, Miami is having their cookout and saw to it that their BIG GUNS from IMG were present to help recruit Dickey.- New Oregon Recruiting Predictions...RB Richard Young, DL My'Keil Gardner
He wanted to take other visits. The two schools that were being tweeted, were aTm and Miami. Miami only offered him two weeks ago. So if they are making last minute play for him, before he announces his commitment on the July 31, I would be concerned, by the two notorious bag man schools.- Samu Taumanupepe Postpones Commitment Date
I don't condone handing out NIL deals to HS recruits who never played a down in college football, and I don't want them to be the prime reason for recruits picking Oregon. But for the moment, it appears to be the name of the game. If the Ducks want to stay in the game and remain relevant, they have play along to some degree which is what they are doing. Whether we like it or not, there is a sense of entitlement with 5-star recruits and even some high 4-star athletes. They can almost expect some kind of NIL deal. If one team isn't willing to offer a recruit something, there are always a handful of other teams who are itching to buy a KID's services. Others who prove their worth in the game, like 3-star TJ Bass, they can earn themselves NIL deals. I read that he is valued at $266K. That is how it should be, rather than having to entice HS kids with lucrative deals who may never produce or in some cases, play. Jurrion Dickey may not have been a 5-star recruit, when he committed to the Ducks, but now that he has received his 5th star, I should like to think that Ducks are willing to reward him accordingly with some kind of NIL deal. It will go a long way to buy favor with him and help to lock him in.- Samu Taumanupepe Postpones Commitment Date
Jurrion Dickey also tweeted that he will be vacationing with his family in Miami. Cane fans are having an upvote party, thinking they can flip Dickey and get Taumanupepe to commit to the Miami.- Samu Taumanupepe Postpones Commitment Date
Samu Taumanupepe was supposed to announce his commitment this month, with the Ducks being the heavy favorite. He however decided to postpone it for several more days. Keep in mind that Miami only offered him on July 15, 2022. If he takes the official visit to Miami, I would not bet against MariØ and a bag full of $$. MariØ is one helluva closer. The timing of it all seems fishy to me.- Buckeye Claims ND to B1G is a Done Deal
Now, they are in pursuit of Stanford. I don't know if there is any truth to this rumor, but if this is the case, the Ducks could be left out in the cold. Big Ten Expansion Intel 247SPORTS.COM Big Ten Expansion Intel- Bama's Newest Commit RB Justice Hayes is Recruiting Richard Young
Dowdell looks like solid back with some size, which the Ducks have been lacking. The fact that Coach Locklyn's RBs have been getting drafted from teams like Western Kentucky, says a lot about his eye for talent and developing it. But wouldn't it be nice to have an elite back? We could have really used him on short and goal against Auburn in the Natty. All top teams have an elite back. It's a necessity to compete with the SEC and run the ball against their Big Uglies.- Bama's Newest Commit RB Justice Hayes is Recruiting Richard Young
A Bama fan started another thread earlier today, "What does the Justice Haynes commitment mean..." More importantly, they wanted to know how it impacts Richard Young's recruitment.- Bama's Newest Commit RB Justice Hayes is Recruiting Richard Young
Have you ever heard of a top RB (#3) recruiting another even higher rated RB (#2) from the same class to go play for the same team? Bama is already stacked at that position, so the competition to play will be fierce as things stand now. Hayes is either supremely confident in his abilites to secure a spot or ballsy and naive to go recruit stiffer competition. Expect there to be at least one transfer. Based on the latest On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Bama has 48.4% chance of acquiring Young to Oregon's 30.5% The big story that these percentages or odds fail to tell, is that just 5 days earlier, the very same machine, favored Bama to land Young by a commanding 92.2%. Whereas, the RPM only gave Oregon an outside chance of 2% at attaining Young. Despite his two visits to Eugene, a month ago, Oregon wasn't even in the recruiting picture, according to On3's RPM. Oregon has appeared out of nowhere, to leapfrog Georgia and is now chasing down Bama, if the Ducks haven't already blown past them. Less than two weeks ago, Bama's 247 boards started a thread, titled, "Richard Young Oregon." I suspect that Coach Locklyn's and Coach Dillingham's playful tweets, hinting that Young may be a Duck, might have had something to do with it. All this conveys to me is that there are doubts about where he will end up. Originally thought to be a one-horse race, the Ducks have gained considerable steam, making some Bama fans rightfully nervous. Now, the real question is whether Hayes's recent commitment may have put the Ducks in the driver's seat with Young??? Also, it doesn't hurt to have one the top QBs, if not THE top QB in the class, wooing him. I would think Hayes committing to the Bama, would hurt rather than help Bama's chances of landing Young. I don't doubt that Young is capable of being a starter from Day 1 on any team. However, Bama's RB stable is already full of studs, much closer in ratings to one another. Some of them will have had more college experience than him, before he even sets foot on campus for early enrollment. In comparison to Oregon's modest avg. RB rating of .9009 for the last three recruiting classes, Bama has hauled in an impressive avg. RB rating of .9773 which is probably even low for Bama's standards. Bear in mind that Oregon's average doesn't take into account the multiple walk-ons. Barring any possible transfer, Young will probably be assured immediate playing time at Oregon, where he won't be battling it out with other 5-stars or even high 4-star recruits, at his position. His combination of the three S's, Speed, Size, and Skill plus Vision, will be undeniable and will most likely eclipse other Ducks with more game experience. He already stands 5'11 at 200 lbs. With his frame, he should be able to pack on another 10 to 15 lbs and maybe even grow another inch or two. He will be a back of both speed and power. Duck fans should be stoked at the prospects of landing this big fish and stealing him away from SEC and Floridian anglers, from no less, MariØ's backyard.- Arch Manning, a 3-Star Recruit?
According to Mike Farrell, recruiting analyst expert and the National Recruiting Director at Rivals.com, Arch Manning is vastly overrated and would be a "three-star recruit were it not for his last name: Manning." In general, I root for whichever team strengthens our schedule. With teams like the Fuskies, it's a win-win situation. If they lose, great. I get a good laugh at their expense. If they win, then, defeating them bolsters our SOS.- USC Fans Do NOT Want Oregon in the B1G...Whew!
The irony of this condescending asshat, speaking about higher academic standards, is an absolute joke. If he is going to attempt to denigrate another school's education, he should at least know the difference between "excepted" and ACCEPTED. I'm sure his parents are proud, shelling out $60 -$85 grand a year for tuition. I hope SUC escapes the Pac 12 unscathed next season, just so the Ducks can crush them in the CCG and expose their team and their coach as being overrated. SUC fans are delusional.- Big Dave Reminiscing the Good O Days with Matayo

- Jayden Wayne to Miami
That seems to be a trend with all these high 4 star and 5 star recruits that are planning to commit to Miami. They all transfer to IMG first. Must be included in their package deal$.- Jayden Wayne to Miami
Still scratching my head and will continue to do so. I don't see what the appeal is for a defensive player to want to pick an inept, offensive juggerNOT like MariØ over a defensive guru and mastermind, Lanning, fresh off winning the Natty. I have to hand it to MariØ though. The man sure can recruit! He has developed a knack for closing the deal with DEs on the West Coast. First it was KT, last year was Cyrus Moss, now Jayden Wayne. Miami can have both Jaden and Jayden. Just like Moore, I have a feeling that something better lies in store for the Ducks. We will just have to wait and see...- Cristobal’s Ducks Underperformed?
Wash, rinse, repeat for MariØ. Knowing good ol predictable, Micromanaging MariØ, he is setting Miami up for disappointment. His ability to recruit elite talent has never been in question. It's what he fails to do with the talent that will put his team in a position to lose, that will drive Miami fans up the wall and have them second-guessing him and his effectiveness as a coach. And to think Miami is pushing to join the SEC, when MariØ struck out in his attempts to get the Ducks to playoffs. He couldn't capitalize and dominate in a weak conference, with essentially a bunch of 4 and 5 star players, playing against mainly 3 star teams and a bewildered SC team. If you thought MariØ was out of his depth in the Pac 12, imagine how he's going to look competing in the SEC, full of sharks. Lanning and staff are going to show MariØ, how he squandered the wealth of talent on this team and got the Ducks to underperform each season. When Lanning was coaching at Georgia, he was trying to recruit Noah Sewell and Flowe and spoke highly about both of them. Ever since Lanning took over the Ducks as HC, he has been chomping at the bit to coach and work with these guys. I bet he has plays already drawn up to utilize and maximize their full skill sets. I'd like to see Lanning and staff coach up Dontae Manning. He has yet to flash 5 star potential as a Duck.- What is so Special About Notre Dame Football?

Could a bunch of these recruits have been silent commits since the big recruiting weekend, and did the Oregon staff orchestrate their commitment announcements to generate serious recruiting momentum during the otherwise dead period? Moore said he didn't know where he was going until three days ago. Is anyone buying that? Next Young, then Matayo and Hicks and so on- Recruiting Breather After All This Realignment Stuff
Did you see where Jaden Rashada finished? He finished 16th. Paying $9.5 million for an unproven recruit who finished 16th at the Elite 11, seems like a risky investment. Elite 11 Finals: Moore, Nelson and Arnold Lead on Day 1 WWW.SI.COM Moore, the nation's top uncommitted quarterback, dominates the opening day of camp. Fingers crossed on landing Dante.- Quintessential Cristobal
Quintessential = Phoney Baloney And that's not a chin strap. That's a bra for his chin. Obviously, this isn't Cyrus Moss's home, but it was the photo that was used to capture MariØ's and Oregon's last in-home visit to Cyrus Moss, which I felt is appropriate to demonstrate how two-faced MariØ is and was during this time. This was the day before MariØ announced that he was signing with Miami. So he pretended to represent Oregon, but he was really using Uncle Phil's resources to recruit Moss to Miami. MariØ played everyone, including PK. He used PK's private jet to visit his ailing mother. There is speculation that he used part of his trip back home to secretly meet with Miami about their HC vacancy. He basically snubbed PK and his $85 million dollar contract extension, taking $5 million less to coach for his Alma mater. When MariØ wouldn't take PK's calls, PK pulled his offer. By the Utah game, MariØ had all but checked out. He already knew he was going to Miami to become the new HC. And recently, we learned that he was lining up all his boosters and NIL $, getting all his Ducks lined up in a row. Don't get me wrong. I am glad and relieved that MariØ is gone. Oregon's future looks much brighter with Lanning calling the shots, but the underhanded manner in which MariØ kept Oregon in the dark, was like big parting FU. I don't blame him for leaving, but he could have been more transparent and up front about his intentions. Then, the Ducks could have moved on and been better prepared for the pair of Utah games. He flat out lied about it when asked by reporters. I can't wait for the boos to rain down in Miami, when they lose to inferior teams. It is said that the booing in Autzen was the straw that broke the camel's back. Well, he better get used to it, because I see more of it in his not so distant future, especially with his inept coaching. - Oregon Ducks Basketball Poised to Land 2 of Nation's Top 7 Prospects...Kwame Evans Jr. and Mookie Cook
