Pure guess on my part but I doubt we see Dante Moore again this year. Perhaps by now the concussion is a bit behind him but what about the psychological issues? Slightly off topic but I just noticed that the Northwestern game following the Illinois game will be only available on streaming via Peacock. I have got Peacock and the picture quality via streaming is superb but this is going to frustrate quite a few people IMHO.

What punishment does Dan Lanning give to Evan Stewart? Nothing, if we use the example of Rashaad Samples with his DUI from last summer. These players, especially the stars make a lot of NIL money. He had choices, take a cab, take an uber. He has already seriously damaged his draft value. Next man up IMHO.

With the CBS report that Brock Thomas is starting, I wonder if Akili Smith Jr. is now #2 QB?

I think a lot of this discussion needs to be focused on Dan Lanning himself. How did we end up hiring a riverboat gambler? I don't think he learned his way too agressive behavior (IMHO) from Kirby Smart or Nick Saban. The most recent examples are the Oklahoma State game where his go for it attitude on 4th and 8 yards arguably cost us the game. Against UCLA his poor decision to go for two points after the first TD probably cost us the game. Our defense is playing relatively well considering they had to play the 2/3rds of the last game due to offensive miscues. The offense is a mess. Mehringer has done a poor job and his resume is poor but he works for the Head Coach who is ultimately responsible. Changes need to be made now because we are trending in the wrong direction.

Brock Thomas earned the start. If Dylan was injured, he should have pulled himself. Brock #1, Akili #2, GO DUCKS!

To repeat what Mr. Kamakazi discussed. Can someone explain to me what the purpose of going for the first two point conversion was? An extra point puts us up by four. What does five points do for us? This alone IMHO cost us the game (along with other issues certainly). We had the momentum in the fourth quarter thanks to Brock Thomas and with a tie to force overtime, we could have won with our momentum.
