This is very current (2026). Like some of you, I feel like I lived this. I was a Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) at Oregon and a year after my final year in 1967 we were booted off campus for life for many violations. I think they are back on campus now.

I read an article on this team and the relevant number for me was their schedule was ranked next to last of all teams in regards to strength of schedule. They won't be around for long IMHO. Even at 31-0 they are still on the bubble.

To add to the health theme here. I turned 80 yesterday and 22 years ago survived a major heart attack. I am addicted to sticking around. I am at my college basketball weight of 206#. If you have high cholesterol which I did, I got on Repatha and give myself a cartridge injection twice a month. My total cholesterol LDL and HDL is now 96. I am currently following the guidelines of Dr. Peter Attia, from his book "Outlive". He is a longevity doctor and somewhat controversial because of one of his patients. Thanks for this article Jon. The past two years have been a Cinderella story for Indiana and now with the #1 Portal class, it looks like they are not going away soon. Cignetti delivers and has a great eye for talent. We all know about Mark Cuban helping out but I also read an article that said John Cougar Mellancamp was a big contributor. Did not attend Indiana but lived close by.

From everything I read about this gentleman, I am not sure that he would have been a good fit with our Oregon culture. But what do I know?

What happens if Duke wins? What happens if Duke wins and this QB is forced to stick around? Do you start a QB whom you just clubbed with a lawsuit and does that QB choose to perform or poison the entire locker room? What a mess. It will be interesting to see what happens at UW this year with a similar situation.
