  1. https://www.si.com/college/alabama/football/report-oregon-coach-dan-lanning-currently-in-tuscaloosa
  2. Come to think of it, I never thought we would find another offense as "Stone Age" as Mario's - but lo and behold, I think we found one that's probably even worse lol That said, if TT does end up in Iowa, totally rooting for the kid to lift Iowa's O out of the Stone Age - except when playing against OBD of course
  3. I say cancel the agreement and put Texas Tech back on the schedule. Forget Oregon State.
  4. Oh yes - thanks for correcting my post! How could I have forgotten about Herbert lol!
  5. I just hope that the Ducks' ability to recruit QB's is not damaged down the road. Just concerned that in the future, good QB's coming out of high school may have second thoughts about coming to Oregon as they will probably think they'll just be riding the bench anyways in favor of someone coming in through the TP and thus will hardly get a chance to start, if ever. It's a Catch-22 situation, balancing decisions between the "win now" mantra vs possibly going through some seasons with maybe 3-4 losses while the QB develops. Probably the last QB we had that was developed by Oregon was Marcus Mariota.
  6. Sad to see this but totally understandable. Hope he lands at a program that is willing to take a chance and make him the starting QB.
  7. Without Caleb, I think USC loses this game. Louisville isn't exactly a walk in the park. IMHO, Caleb Williams IS the reason why USC is 7-5, albeit way short of expectations - instead of something like 3-9.
  8. It is what it is. At least OBD get a chance to play in a New Year's Day bowl game. Although Liberty is probably not a "sexy" enough opponent for most of us, you know that they are really hyped up for this game and will play lights out against us. Just want OBD to play lights out as well, hopefully close out this season on a great note with a victory and look forward to creating havoc in the B1G next season. Go Ducks!
  9. Regardless of whether the regular Duck starters decide to suit up or not, sadly Oregon has to win this game. A loss would basically give a black eye to the Duck program, and who knows what other collateral damage may result.
  10. Awesome. Hopefully Bo playing will encourage other Duck players who were thinking of sitting out to suit up as well.
  11. I know a loss is a loss, but it's not like we were blown out by UW in any of our previous games under DL. I was thinking the same thing about the onside kick. However, even if the ball was kicked deep, the way UW's passing game was going, and our D seemingly having no answer for it, that would have just delayed the inevitable unfortunately IMHO. Plus UW's offense is that good that they can score a TD literally in just one play.
  12. UW's passing attack was just too good. And it didn't help that our starting DB's were out.
  13. Still keeping the faith lol. Remember the North Carolina and Wazzu games where everything seemed hopeless.
  14. Let's go Ducks! We need a TD and then another stop on D!
  15. Agree. Stick with the RB that has the hot hand right now.
  16. The D really needs an answer for UW's passing game, which admittedly, is a monumental task. Hope OBD come out on fire in the 2nd half.
  17. OBD has been in situations like this before. Still keeping the faith. Basically, adjustments all around are needed for 2nd half.
  18. At least OBD got something out of this last drive and the D got a little breather. Time to start making adjustments now.
  19. Ducks looking out of rhythm on both sides of the ball right now. They just need to settle down - but definitely need to score on this next possession.
  20. Although of course I wish the best for the student athletes, something has to give - this is too much already. The innocence, fun and wholesomeness of college football has all but disappeared. Yeah, I do feel a little bit of hypocrisy in saying this as I love watching college football as much as the next guy and want the best players on OBD roster, but it's just sad to see what the landscape is evolving into.
  21. I'll be honest - in a way, I do hope that ESPN, Fox and all the other corporate media that destroyed college football as we know it go belly up due to overextending themselves from all the TV money they have to pay out. Then maybe from all the pieces that have to be picked up and put back together can emerge a college football landscape that is generally fun again with the regional conferences and rivalries and all - including a resurrected PAC-12.
  22. Sad to see him leave Oregon State - what a gut punch for the Beavers. And possibly to add salt to the wound, I can see many of the best OSU players flocking to the transfer portal as a result. Can't really blame JS though, with the Beaver football program in a state of limbo and inevitably being relegated to G5 status. It's just really sad to see what has become of college football.
  23. I guess OBD were firing on all cylinders tonight while maybe things just didn't click for the Beavs today. I was expecting another nail-biter, especially looking at the Beavs' last game against UW. Just wish the best for OSU going forward - hope they are able to keep Jonathan Smith as HC. As for OBD, PAC-12 Championship Game, here we come! Go Ducks!
