June 2Jun 2 Moderator No. Thanks, NJ. Perfect 1st pitch times, who wants to watch baseball in the sunshine, and there is a lot to do in Austin during the day. Buy some righteous tacos and drive by Sark's place. It's all about the student-athlete, right?
June 2Jun 2 Administrator No. Oregon pitchers Cal Scolari and Will Sanford will win this series in two games; they are hot right now and are peaking at the perfect time. They will hold the Longhorn batters in the feed-lot, while Oregon batters will pick away and score enough to win. I see 4-2 kind of scores in this...Our entire pitching staff only gave up ONE RUN average per game in the Eugene Regional. If they can keep that up--and with our superb batters..... Mr. OBD
June 2Jun 2 Author Moderator No. Let’s Go DUCKS!!Oregon among top remaining contenders in Super Regional re-rankWhere Oregon baseball ranks among Super Regional contendersThe weekend saw the top two national seeds, No. 1 UCLA and No. 2 Georgia Tech, both fall at home, shaking up the postseason picture heading into the next round. Oregon and Texas are one of only two matchups in the Super Regionals between national seeds. USA TODAY reranked all 16 teams set to compete this weekend, and the Ducks checked in fifth on the list.https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/baseball/2026/06/02/oregon-baseball-super-regional-rankings-texas/90372124007/
June 2Jun 2 Moderator No. Texas does have some serious hitters with big time fence clearing capabilities. They also strike out more than almost every other team in the supers, so Scolari and Sanford can play to Oregon's strength if they are on target and don't let the 8000 strong Austin crowd rattle them.
June 3Jun 3 No. Great game times for the Ducks! My Dawgs, the highest remaining seed in the tourney, got abysmal starts: 11AM Saturday and 12PM on Sunday. Neither Georgia or their opponent Mississippi State (a CDT team) are happy about this draw. As the games are in Athens, which is said to be prone to afternoon thunderstorms this time of the year, should we use a similar logic to move the World Series from an even more storm prone venue, Omaha, to a more benign location like Los Angeles?
June 3Jun 3 Author Moderator No. Preview and prediction for Oregon vs. Texas in Super RegionalTexas is a powerhouse program with six championships, the third-most in the country. The Longhorns haven’t won it all since 2005, but the program has made a record 38 trips to Omaha, the latest in 2022.It won’t be easy for the Ducks to take down the SEC force, but if they do, Oregon could be among the favorites to win it all in Omaha. Let’s take a look at what type of challenge Texas presents in the super regional.PredictionThe Ducks should be able to slug homers out of UFCU Disch-Falk Field, which is fairly short to right field. I think Oregon wins the series in three games if they can knock Texas’ top starters out of the game earlyhttps://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/baseball/2026/06/03/oregon-baseball-texas-super-regional-preview-prediction/90378583007/
June 3Jun 3 Administrator No. The Athletic predicts Texas to win this Super-Regional, but had this to say about Our Beloved Ducks..."The 2026 Ducks are flying a bit under the radar. Dating back to a series win over USC, Oregon’s pitching staff has allowed a total of 20 runs in the last nine games. And Washington is the only opponent in that stretch that did not play in the NCAA Tournament.""Winning in Austin will be a tough task, but the Ducks’ pitching gives them a chance." So an average of only 2.22 runs given up per game over the last nine games? We can WIN with that kind of pitching!Burke-Lee Mabeus and Tanner Bradley! Mr. OBD

June 4Jun 4 Author Moderator No. ‘Just another game;’ Oregon ready for Texas environment in Super RegionalOregon prepared to conquer hostile environment in return Super RegionalsEverything in the SEC "just means more." Everything in Texas is just a little bigger. Now, it's up to the Oregon Ducks to conquer those expectations. A veteran group with big-game experience, with a trio of freshmen sluggers mixed in, the Ducks are headed to the Austin Super Regional to face Texas, and some demons from the past as well.https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/baseball/2026/06/04/oregon-baseball-texas-super-regional-environment-wasikowski-molony/90390296007/
