Wednesday at 05:48 PM2 days Administrator No. No surprise, but their distaste of Oregon is off the charts. Now some fans did give credit where due, but not many. Of course we do not claim to have the history OSU Baseball does, and they should be very proud of three 'Nattys that are very hard to achieve in the PNW. But the present is different; Oregon has beaten Beavis eight of the last nine Civil War Baseball Games... Beavis fans on a pay site comment below..."The rich history of Oregon's program - my goodness. They have no history. They are losers and pathetic at that.""Waz owns Canham. Wins and losses don’t lie.""Took em 18 years but they finally caught us. Another relegation ripple effect.""Oregon has caught us? My god some of you are dramatic. We've made seven CWS since 2005 with three national titles. Oregon has made zero. Super regionals are 10 to 4. They've definitely stepped their game up under Waz, I'll give them that. But they haven't even made it to Omaha yet. Caught us? Give me a freaking break.""Yeah, they are regularly hosting regionals, they have beaten us pretty regularly the last 2 seasons and they are headed to the Supers and we are staying home. Now that NIL is a thing, they’ll be able to outbid us for players as well. Oh, and if their fanbase gets a taste of Omaha, watch out, because more money will come flooding in.Relegation has ripple effects that take time. It’s only going to get harder for OSU to stay a blue blood in baseball. not easier.""Phil paid someone to get a Eugene regional host over us. It was all contrived. ***** them."Beavis Education at Work..."Some serious copium here. No one wants to see the landscape shift but to deny that it isn’t happening is unwise.""Dude…Players on our roster were not even born when we won our first CWS title. They’ve caught us. You can deny it. But it’s true.""Oregon might accomplish more than us in baseball over the next 10 years due to resources. But they haven't accomplished ANYTHING yet. Literally nothing.""I guess I don't really think beating us in one regional (without our best player) means they've passed us but I do agree that we're probably on equal footing as programs now. That's the more reasonable, non-hot take way of saying it. Wasikowski has turned Oregon into a perennial top 20 team and this is the 3rd year in the last 4 they've made a Super Regional. They have the benefits of financial stability and play in a major conference that will likely churn out 4-6 tournament teams every year. Those two factors make their path to maintaining their status as a top 20 team much easier than it is at Oregon State right now."Who can Argue with these Beavis beauties?"Ducks drew arguably the easiest regional and basically needed us to walk them in runs to beat us.""Yes, I do think hole has caught us. They are on equal footing for sure.""The only reason their baseball program exists is because of jealousy of our success.""Oregon will do what they always do… choke.""The Ducks were the better team. I’ve got no problem saying that. Go Horns.""Go Longhorns! I want to puke. They might be worse than oregon fans.""I think we’ll all feel a lot better when Texas pulverizes Waz and his Duckies, dropping Oregon to 0 for whatever in super regionals." Mr. OBD
Wednesday at 06:17 PM2 days No. Hilarious collection 😂Last thing they were clinging to.Going to be really depressing for them when they regularly finish in the bottom half of the new PAC (in all sports) that most of them still think they’re going to dominate. Wednesday at 06:32 PM2 days No. I mean... We did just beat them at their last bastion of competence. We are beating them at their own game and that is difficult to handle. The Civil War in football is going to be one-sided for a very long time. So long that the next time Beavis probably wins it they have a Vanderbilt beating Bama moment and tear down their goal posts and throw them in the river. Baseball was their THING and now Oregon is moving in on it. And true the Ducks haven't won a National Championship in baseball yet but if you were to make a race to who wins one next I'm sure the odds wouldn't be Beaver dominant for sure. And this is from a casual observer who just follows Oregon baseball via Charles' posts.
Wednesday at 07:43 PM2 days Author Administrator No. Actually...I think Oregon State Baseball is in fine shape, as they can recruit pitchers at a level we are not at yet. They had the BEST ERA of any staff in the US, and they field the ball superbly.Their problem, as their fans point out, is that this year the batting isn't on par with the past. Frankly--that is easier to fix with coaching and the portal, than is attracting pitchers. I believe that the Ducks have a good nucleus of pitchers, but if we make to Omaha....I fear we will run out of quality pitchers quickly. We do not have the pitching depth yet, but Coach Waz has done an excellent job bringing in talent and coaching to make this year special. You can argue that last year's team was a little better batting, but it was our pitchers that let us down in last year's regional. We can WIN with our starting pitchers this year.I think both programs have a bright future....But right now....we gotcha! Mr. OBD
Wednesday at 08:26 PM2 days Moderator No. When analyzing the Eugene Regional, On3 referred to the P-12, not as New World or even the Regurgitated, er, the Reorganized Pac-12, but as the Zombie Pac-12. 👺 That's cold. 🥶 But ... 🤣😁😍I wonder. Is the New World Pac-12 HQ located in Greenland, San Salvador, Columbus, Ohio, Georgia, etc., or under John Canzano's desk?
Wednesday at 11:07 PM1 day No. Gotta say, "I'm love'n it"!Bring back Justin Herbert and we'll beat them in bass fishing too! 🤣
