9 hours ago9 hr No. Here are some of the things I heard coming out of fall camp before the start of the season:Drew Mehringer is a scientist. He is going to take college football by storm. Oregon has 8 offensive linemen that could be starters and are playing above the line football. Evan Stewart is unguardable. Akili Smith has improved drastically and is playing above the line football. Obviously, none of these things are close to being true. Should we believe anything that we hear from the coaches and/or players in fall camp? Or maybe we should just assume the opposite?

Agree. Then in the fall, the coaches were saying that they had 8 starting caliber players that were playing winning football. Right now, they maybe have 1.
7 hours ago7 hr Moderator No. This may be the best topic of the year. As a fan, I really don't care what the narrative is for any given year whether it's "This is THE year!" or "Prepare to be the scrappy underdog this year.". I just want to be prepared for what's coming and embrace it whatever it is. Shocking upsets can do and will happen from time to time and "This is THE year!" can turn to "At least we're still in the top 25." at anytime on the schedule and I don't have a problem with that. This year feels more deceitful than upsets happen. We have two five star QBs being lead and instructed by a guy coaching QBs for the first time who played tight end in college. Unbelievable. Our all world tight end and his 4 star position mates are being coached by a guy who's never even been a position coach before. Ridiculous. They're all being lead by an OC who's OC experience is one year leading bottom dwelling Rutgers offense. Inexcusable. This is the offensive infrastructure that we were told was going to compete for a national title. This isn't even counting how hard the O line was over sold as ready to take over the starting positions. These internal promotions were a gigantic swing and a miss by Lanning and will most likely be corrected post season. Still this season should have been promoted as a learning curve year rather than 'This is it!".We all could have embraced for impact and adjusted our fandom accordingly.

This seem very odd to me.
6 hours ago6 hr No. I am pretty soured on the Ducks. My frustration and anger is over the top for sure.IMO, we fans were lied to, that is unacceptable. It's hard for me to keep a high level of Fandom right now.Lanning doesn't realy seem to care. His seeming disdain and contempt for local media at the pressers is frustrating. What a massive failure. And its on him as the HC. We. Can blame assistants and players all day. But this is squarely a Lanning problem imo.I hate being lied to.

47 minutes ago47 min No. This season is disappointing, absolutely. Yet, the Ducks have lost twice, once to a team that lost their first game and hasn't lost since (currently ranked 18) and the other undefeated (currently ranked #12). My Saturdays have been totally jammed so I haven't seen a game live yet, but watching the replays we have lost the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball more than we have won it.We looked like we could beat anyone in the country vs USC, then we turned it over 7 times vs UCLA. SEVEN times, I'm still trying to get my head around that. Yet, we lost by 2 points. I don't think the O-line is going to be great, but if they can get up to okay the offense has enough weapons to score a lot of points.I haven't given up hope for this years version of the Ducks yet, there is a lot going wrong that's fixable, but there's no time to waste.
