That written, I wanted Thomas to start.Has it ever occurred though, that a QB had a good game (Riola v USC) followed by a terrible one (UCLA) followed by a good one, and his replacement in his off game looked good but then was ineffective when he replaced the first QB as a starter. If a Duck fan was imprisoned and had to watch most of the game tonight, it would violate the Constitution's prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment. As it turned out, it was a game I will always remember in a positive way.

I was happy to see him get the opportunity to start, but he should have been pulled at the half.I would have loved to see Akili Smith get a chance too, but it was great to watch Dylan get the come-back win against his former team.Still scratching my head about the play calling, but thank goodness for this defense. They are giving the team a chance to win.

And I really don't care. I am sure OBD will not win playing, looking or coaching like that all year. But if they win ugly for the rest of my life, they win. I know I will age a thousand years, but I will take it. One damn day at a time. We are trying to solve every problem known to this team this very second. It is not going to happen. Tomorrow is another day. And let's be real here. We have not looked like a championship team Lanning's entire tenure. And he still wins a hell of a lot more than he loses.

DR is nails when winning is personal, and a failure when he takes the rat poison.
1 hour ago1 hr No. While not having the guys prepared out of the gate reared its head again, one credit to the coaches is their game strategy ultimately worked, though barely.Conservative ball control slow game down offense and rely on D to keep us in the game. CHECK
1 hour ago1 hr No. I will add that on Talking Ducks Joey brought up a game he had with Miami against Buffalo. He pretty much sucked big time. There was no answer for him and he just did not have it that day. The game before he had a 107 passer rating against unbeaten Chicago. The he laid a turd against Buffalo. 0.0 passer rating. He said it happens. Is that what happened to Dillon? Was it just not his day? Maybe we'll find out next Saturday if Dante sits out again. I can't see DL starting Thomas again.
1 hour ago1 hr No. I still feel like Lanning is just a few great coaching hires away from winning it all. The talent is there. The resources are there. The culture is there. What’s missing is a staff that can consistently get the absolute most out of these players and, just as importantly, outscheme and outcoach the teams standing in Oregon’s way.
1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. Couldn't they just bring in Joey to mentor the QB room for the second half of the season? I mean the dude did nothing but win for the Ducks sometimes on will alone. He was the number 3 pick in the NFL and yet we're letting a galaxy of stars in the QB room be lead by a first time position coach that played tight end. How has this not been done already?
