We should carve out 2.5 million for each and go make a run at these hires! We already are spending a ton of money on a roster and the HC, spend the rest and get the Natty winners on staff!

Mike Locksley was Bamas OC before he got the Maryland HC job. Won the 2017 title as CO-OC under Saban, in 2018 he was the OC and won the Broyles award. He has as years of experience, about a decade calling plays. Just got fired as Maryland HC.

Dave Aranda won a Natty at LSU with Ed Orgeron and has years of experience, about a decade as well as a DC. Broyles award nominee in multiple years/schools and was the games highest pad OC when he was at LSU. Just got fired as Baylor HC.

Problem solved, we aren't showing up in the playoffs looking not ready to play and getting out coached. Let's roll out the Lanning school of former HC's rehabbing their careers like Saban did at Bama.

I am open to both of these hires in truth.

And probably get them at a discount because of their current buyouts. Usually contracts are structured in such a way that even when they take a new job they are still owed some of the money (though less than if they don't take another job). So if that's the case then all the better.
