Oregon is Hot, Now They're Done, Oh They're Back, No They Are Finished, And So On...

Preseason predicted to make it to finals game.

Close call game 1 - it's OK, hey it happens. Boise St does this to a lot of teams and always plays Oregon tough.

OK St - what a bunch of pretenders.

Ptd St and USC - everything is still on the table and all looks good.

UCLA - the season is over.

Nebraska - they can still go to playoffs, just can't lose anymore games.

Illinois - the low point, rock bottom, sucked down the toilet. The program has never done less with more. (which is probably true at that point)

Northwestern - if these Big10 teams lose these key games, Oregon can still win the conference.

The hype, both good and bad is way overblown.

The talk will be way over the top whether Oregon beats OSU or doesn't. That much I am absolutely sure of.

I appreciate the levity.

But they really looked like different teams each week.

I mean they’ve started 4 different QBs: Moore, Thomas, Raiola, and Raiola’s inept twin brother.

Crazy year for sure. These same things are said in a half of football every Saturday. The receipts are in the 100's of game chats

Hey, Everybody, break out them yo-yos! 🤪

To be fair, pre-season there were high expectations with a few hedges.

One hedge was the O-line, talented but not very experienced (that showed early, still does but not as much, we'll see about tomorrow's game).

Two was baring injuries. Well, we have a very early draft pick QB out, several very talented receivers out, now our #1 running back coming into the season out, two offensive linemen out... all of those on the offensive side of the ball. It's no wonder the offense has under performed.

Three was two inexperienced coordinators. Neither the offense or the defense looked like a top five team unit early. The defense has recovered and is looking much better, the OC was let go and at least last week the offense looked much better.

So, all of the hedges have come to pass, some with profound effect on the team's performance.
