Stunning Crowd for USC at the Coliseum...
The "official attendance" was 51,144. Yes, that's the official box score. There is no freakin way that many people showed their tickets at the turnstiles. It was warm. It was SJSU. But, it was the home opener with roster and assistant coach changes. Those photos looked like recent snapshots at the Rose Bowl when UCLA had struggling attendance. Wonder if there were any recruits that Oregon is pursuing who were taking an official visit?

Stunning Crowd for USC at the Coliseum...
The cost of the least expensive ticket kept many away.....$9. LOL. In fairness....it was over 90 degrees in a stadium with no shade. Playing a bad team. When they play Oregon it will be packed. Of course the game may be over by half time.

Portland State Loses Heartbreaker Opener
Early report is the 21-pt comeback is biggest in Cal-Davis history, surpassing an 18-pt deficit comeback at Montana in 2018, then trailing 21-3 at half-time. Davis also trailed by 19 at half vs N. Arizona in 2012 and Davis won. You gotta ache a bit for Portland State... Davis has been on the other end of it. Davis led N. Dakota State 24-0 at half in 2006, but lost.

Maybe we can have both?- Portland State Loses Heartbreaker Opener
PSU led 21-0 at half-time in Hillsboro over FCS No. 6 Cal-Davis. Final: Davis 31-24 after second half rally, and TD with 27 secs. remaining. Last TD helped by PSU defensive lapses and PSU personal foul giving Cal-Davis great field position late. PSU schedule: Cal Davis at San Diego St North Dakota at Oregon- Will Lanning Run-It-Up to Make a Statement?
USCs 2nd team is horrible. It will be interesting to see how Oregons 2nd unit looks, how much drop off. With all the hype around Oregon, sure hope they can start pulling the 1s early 3rd. Dan will pull them for sure.- Will Lanning Run-It-Up to Make a Statement?
I have a Duck-Buddy who wondered what the majority of us Oregon fans were thinking on this issue--if the game goes well for the Ducks....do we think Dan Lanning will run the score up on Boise State to make a national statement of which can help us as the season progresses? Or do we think he will not, and use this opportunity to play the reserves, and get them some playing time at game-speed? Fox Crader I vote for him playing the reserves, because we MUST build depth. It is a long season, and we need the great young talent to get confidence in a game, and thus be ready to start later. Fox Crader gave himself, the coaches, and the fans great confidence with his play in the USC game last year, but he gave us glimpses in earlier games when he came in briefly. Which do you choose? Both help the team one way or the other...- Are We Ready For Some Football? DUH! A Week 0 Lineup Will Get Things Started
SPOILER ALERT - Scores of games appear below. UNC 15 - TCU 10 - Instead of this game, it's a toss-up whether I'd rather watch two guys fish for guppies or paint dry. The difference between playing at Harvard and TCU: QB Jaden Craig's receivers at Harvard could catch the football. SJS at USC - How to represent the Big Ten Trojans: I believe OBD had twice as many fans attend the Spring game. Yes, it was 92 degrees at KO, but at KO for NC State at UVA it was 86 with 60% humidity, and the stadium is sold out.- Streaming Outside the US?
Yep…need a VPN connected to a server in the US to bypass restricted licensing areas when traveling. Nord works well from Mexico.- Streaming Outside the US?
when abroad, we use a VPN (Nord but there are others) and simply use Xfinity stream--one benefit of cable. the vpn uses a Seattle server, or whatever location you choose; and the provider thinks that is where we are. Some channels are restricted to in home wifi and i have to record those and watch later.- Prediction Contest for the SEASON! Join Us!

Not sure if I’m looking at a Vogue ‘Ultimate Make-Over’ or something to do with football. The problem - as always - with attempting to replicate someone else’s success is everyone else is eyeing the same solution. The pickings just get thinner and thinner as the discards are falling through the cracks.- Streaming Outside the US?
Does anyone know the best streaming sites to watch games out of country? Going to Honduras and will be gone for the first 2 games. Central America could be a challenge but I am not sure.- WSJ - Oklahoma State and the 91 Player Rebuild
Great take, Log. Thanks. This year's group of oldies and hopefully goodies plays today. This season's rest home is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, on the campus of Mr. Jefferson's University. Virginia -5.5 vs NC State. The Cowboys model in part copies Cig's first year at Indiana. Coach Eric Morris has brought many of his best North Texas players with him from North Texas to Stillwater. Mike Gundy had thrown in the towel. I'm not certain that Coach Morris had any choice but to start from scratch. We get to watch QB Mestemaker and listen to the Paddle People in Week 2.- Oregon Ducks Practice Reports Updates, Etc. “2026” (11)

I doubt it works. Not sure following a model that was mostly successful due to covid rules that no longer apply is a solid strategy. IU was the oldest team in the playoff field last year. And I think it may not have been close outside of Miami (the other NC participant). Oregon was the youngest team in the CFP. Experience matters. This year's Ducks should capitalize on being a year older. When you have 25 yo grown men coming into the prime of physical development coupled with mental maturity under duress intercepting balls or slinging the rock, it makes a huge difference. The model OSU and UM followed in 23' and 24' was, in my opinion, the same that helped IU win in 25. Maturity and experience. I do recognize the lack of blue chip ratio between IU and tOSU/UM. So I have to give Cig some respect, he can coach for sure. But age and experience, to me, played a much bigger role. Oregon run, being the youngest in the field, was pretty remarkable. Lanning deserves some respect in taking such a young team deep into the playoff. I highly doubt Okie State can duplicate what IU did last year. I doubt IU can duplicate it. I could be wrong though. - Stunning Crowd for USC at the Coliseum...
