What Will YOU Be Looking For in Game 1?
OL play.......DE success at making the QB react.

Stunning Crowd for USC at the Coliseum...
It actually got to nearly 97 in LA yesterday.......a health issue for quite a few folks in direct sun for 4 hours.

Stunning Crowd for USC at the Coliseum...
The cost of the least expensive ticket kept many away.....$9. LOL. In fairness....it was over 90 degrees in a stadium with no shade. Playing a bad team. When they play Oregon it will be packed. Of course the game may be over by half time.

Trojan Takes Epitomize Delirious Delusion....
Simple remedy....on September 26......make it look like it wasn't a sweat to beat them, at their place. Two score spread should do it. Is it probable.....yes. Then go get the NC trophy.

Good Gosh....These Freshmen are FREAKS!
Obviously from where I live out in the midwest it's tough to know who to believe. However, the pods are describing Tofi who is 365 as a guy that moves like a guy who is 300. An excellent chance to start.

Is SC a Rival?
Obviously, no one likes injuries. In fact, I'd rather beat a team's best. Killian was a walk on who was under sized. He gave it his all with what he had. Very heady player. He was sub par to average at pass blocking and average at run blocking. Unfortunately his best games were against poor teams. Against the elite he broke down. Not sure who will be plugged in (I know the names but there are several) yet none of them I consider to be good, probably the same or slightly better. What this may do is make their depth of experienced players thin because the leading candidate is a starting guard.

Is SC a Rival?
USC just lost its starting offensive center for the year. Actually in a weird way this may be good news for them. The backup may be better.

OFF TOPIC: Oregon vs USC Tickets
The game will probably be a sellout. Besides, as you probably know, the visitor seats are in the worst area....on the far southeast end in the corner. A view of the back of the goal posts at an angle. In the distance a game is happening. Depending on game time the sun may be an issue. Trojan fans usually are among the most laid back group there is. The student body (where the noise is generated) tends to be wealthy or foreign that are reasonably well behaved and respectful. The alums and parents are mostly quiet. They love the tradition of the program but would be embarrassed to get caught acting out. Of course a few idiots always exist but you would probably find them being told to behave. Lucas Museum for narrative art (1.5 billion cost) opens for the first time just days prior to the game. Right next to the Colly. Might be worth a few hours.

Chip Kelly and Northwestern
I don't follow NW much but I do read Phil Steele's preseason mag. He has 7 of the Northwestern starters as one of the top 4 in the conference at their positions. That seems to work out to 1/3 of the starters being top notch. I guess I'd be on alert if I had to play them at their new stadium this year.......especially since they have coaches like Chip as assistants.

USC’s 2026 Ceiling Still Runs Through Oregon, Yahoo Preview Suggests
The first line of the article made me decide to take it lightly. Those that follow USC football know that Riley will not be pushing USC anywhere. If they make the playoffs it will be in spite of Riley, not because of him. The only reason he remains is his unpublished contract that reportedly has a huge buyout. His incompetence has been on display for 5 years. As for a big game....USC has several this year.......many have the Penn St game at Happy Valley as the key game. Take your choice. IMO USC will not be able to give Oregon much of a game. At the time I'll be glad to accept 5.5 points and bet on Oregon. The reasons are too numerous to discuss. Two among several........USC does not have a legit offensive center. Running the ball against the Oregon D front will be nearly impossible. When Maiava is pressured he becomes unglued. Oregon will let the dogs loose.....and they have a lot of Dobermans. The depth is unbelievable. If USC puts more than 24 on Oregon I'd be shocked. Meanwhile the Oregon offense should have a field day playing a defense implementing a new system that has weak to average LB's and DB's.

Holy Crap! Never Have I Witnessed This in an Oregon Defense....NEVER
This is the year. NC or bust. Anything else will seem like a letdown.

Is Dante Leaving For The NFL?
- Is Dante Leaving For The NFL?
We might not know but I'am certain Lanning will know. You don't think they talk. As far as leaving.......the cash is attractive but.......he may have a different view considering how things went at UCLA with no OL. He'll probably be drafted by a team that is a bottom dweller.......Dante knows how that feels and how unhealthy that can be. If he waits and plays well next year he could have a hand in who drafts him. Just refuse to play for a loser. Could cost him a few bucks but keeps him healthy for a longer career. He needs to watch film of Caleb Williams getting pounded by playing for the Chicago Bears. Sack after sack. He does hold the ball too long but.....it's the line.- Utah HC WHIT is Retiring
He was a great coach......will be missed by those that love college football. - Is Dante Leaving For The NFL?
