  1. The first line of the article made me decide to take it lightly. Those that follow USC football know that Riley will not be pushing USC anywhere. If they make the playoffs it will be in spite of Riley, not because of him. The only reason he remains is his unpublished contract that reportedly has a huge buyout. His incompetence has been on display for 5 years. As for a big game....USC has several this year.......many have the Penn St game at Happy Valley as the key game. Take your choice. IMO USC will not be able to give Oregon much of a game. At the time I'll be glad to accept 5.5 points and bet on Oregon. The reasons are too numerous to discuss. Two among several........USC does not have a legit offensive center. Running the ball against the Oregon D front will be nearly impossible. When Maiava is pressured he becomes unglued. Oregon will let the dogs loose.....and they have a lot of Dobermans. The depth is unbelievable. If USC puts more than 24 on Oregon I'd be shocked. Meanwhile the Oregon offense should have a field day playing a defense implementing a new system that has weak to average LB's and DB's.
  2. This is the year. NC or bust. Anything else will seem like a letdown.
  3. We might not know but I'am certain Lanning will know. You don't think they talk. As far as leaving.......the cash is attractive but.......he may have a different view considering how things went at UCLA with no OL. He'll probably be drafted by a team that is a bottom dweller.......Dante knows how that feels and how unhealthy that can be. If he waits and plays well next year he could have a hand in who drafts him. Just refuse to play for a loser. Could cost him a few bucks but keeps him healthy for a longer career. He needs to watch film of Caleb Williams getting pounded by playing for the Chicago Bears. Sack after sack. He does hold the ball too long but.....it's the line.
  4. He was a great coach......will be missed by those that love college football.
  5. Folks are always careful......it's football......so two easy wins for Oregon. Assuming we get our receivers back. I truly believe this is the year Oregon goes all the way.
  6. They will not buy him out......the powers that be like him......and the powers that be probably will replace him someday with a female head coach. They are so busy slicing cheese and drinking wine they don't even know what is going on at field level. During the Oregon game, I forget quite a few things but one player charged the Oregon sidelines, one tried to jump over the center during a FG, two missed shorter field goals, about 10 face masks some of which were uncalled, they blocked into the rear leg of several of the Oregon players several times trying to cause injury, several unsportsmanlike penalties at the wrong time for them, Oregon runback showed USC players totally mispositioned etc etc....... What an undisciplined mob! and yet......they are telling themselves that they are improving. A bad joke. They were able to beat UCLA at home by a couple of scores......UCLA just got run off the field by Washington. Wait til they play Ohio State, Oregon, Indiana, Penn St, Rutgers, Notre Dame, Washington, Wisconsin next year. It ain't going to be pretty. Lemon and Lane will probably go pro.
  7. Don't give it a second of worry. USC is a mob of thugs who have no discipline, no coaching and will face a schedule next year that will make reality obvious even to them. Their administration is so screwed up, Riley will probably stay for another 5 years.
  8. Ducks.......just run the ball and throw when the opportunity is there. USC will not touch Moore. Their DL is not capable of stopping the run if tested.......why Iowa and Nebraska went away from the run......only the lord knows. On the defense........double Lemon and Lane and make USC run.......Riley will eventually lose patience and throw anyway. He is aways going to throw eventually. Play the game straight.....Riley will try a few trick plays...which will blow up if Oregon plays straight. This game should not be close.......the only fear I have is the officials know that the BIG wants a 4th team in the playoffs.....if it's not the USC it's not going to happen......unless Michigan beats Ohio State. So we should expect a few peculiar calls. USC has benefited from several bizarro interceptions lately.....balls bouncing off hands and at a weird angle ending up in the stomach of a DL......and another few calls that I cannot explain.
  9. I had three sons.......the best one barked.....and is gone now. I miss him very much. So.....totally understand your grief. If you get her cremated keep the ashes near your bed....so you can have a conversation with somebody who understands you.
  10. LOL......last year Oregon went unbeaten in the BIG.....this year so far one loss. Oregon needs to keep doing what it is doing and eventually things will happen.....hope to get a few of those NC trophies.
  11. Considering the weather......take the win and thank our lucky stars.......and don't take much of a message from the performance. Try standing out in a chilly rain for two hours much less 3 and perform. As for the playoffs......beat USC first and then remember by the playoffs most injuries will be healed and our QB will be finally relaxed....getting the UCLA misery of having folks in his face every play. That pass at the end was a work of true talent....right on the money in a very small target for distance.
