  2. Dante Moore has one more year of eligibility. If Lanning can find capable OL players in the portal or by coaching up, it might be better for Dante to return for another season. His draft stock has dropped. His support on O is missing. It's tough to be a QB if your team cannot run the ball.
  3. The Beavers QB would be better then a BU!!
  4. When you have small shifty receivers, this is a good way to get them the ball out in space. When you have 4/5-star receivers with size and speed and you know your other WRs are going to block the wrong guy, it’s almost insulting. It shows no trust in your WRs’ ability to get open or your QB’s ability to throw downfield without putting the ball in danger. I watched multiple screens last week with 3 WRs on the same side with the blockers both going for the DB covering the receiver while the DBs covering the blockers ran free to make the TFL.
  5. Dylan Raiola has made some tweaks and has 'a lot of confidence' if called upon to start against IllinoisOregon quarterback Dylan Raiola says he's ready to take on the starting role again against Illinois this week. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/dylan-raiola-has-made-some-tweaks-and-has-a-lot-of-confidence-if-called-upon-to-start-against-illinois-291588053/

  9. I'd rather have the kid from Oklahoma State than Bryce Underwood. Not saying that kid is going anywhere, but I'd take him over BU.
  10. Wonder if Joey Harrington would volunteer.
  11. I'd argue that bringing in an experienced, accomplished QB coach should happen before recruiting another QB transfer.
  12. At some point these freshmen cease being freshmen. Isn't that what is said going into playoffs and bowl games? Well, halfway through the season works for me. Time to start earning their "$cholar$hip$".
  13. Posted by Jon Joseph: In the old (Ryan) days, Louisville QB Lincoln Kienholz would come off the bench to replace Julian Sayin. Now, it's true freshman Luke Fahey who looked lost against Indiana. Sayin is out 'indefinitely,' and the loss at Texas is no longer that great a loss, and with Texas' remaining schedule, it is likely to look worse. Ohio State is off in Week 8, but the remaining schedule is the B1G's most difficult. The Buckeyes play SC in LA in Week 9; will Ohio State be able to score enough points to win this game? Which Oregon backup QB shows up? Good Dylan, or bad Dylan? Will the O-line be able to keep Raiola upright? He is not a dual-threat QB. Will Dante Moore play again this season? To date, Oregon has played the 16th most difficult schedule in CFB, with the remaining schedule ranked the 20th most difficult. $3 million-a-year QB Bryce Underwood has been benched in favor of freshman Tommy Carr. This week against Indiana, we'll see how Carr performs starting against a top-ten opponent. UCLA QB Ty Dieffenbach, who resembles a baby giraffe when he runs, sealed the deal against the Ducks and played well against Wisconsin. The Badgers shut down the Bruins' robust run game. How will Ty fare playing in Minneapolis and Ann Arbor in November? Penn State QB Rocco Becht and his former Iowa State pals are not up to playing in the Power 2. Will the B1G have more than two teams in this season's playoffs? In addition to Indiana, Iowa, Ohio State, UCLA, Northwestern, and USC, two-loss Oregon, Michigan, Nebraska, and Wisconsin are still in the PO hunt. UCLA has the easiest remaining schedule, with USC the only ranked team left to play. Iowa, the second easiest. The SEC is eating its own. The B1G is odds on to do the same down the stretch.
  14. Seems like a bad idea to me, the $ would be better spent on the O-line.
  15. I recommend the breakdown of Oregon's offensive performance at Sco Ducks. Their coach/analyst stated that experience showed that the current OL group was not well suited for zone blocking. Hence, the staff introduced a lot of gap scheme plays, some of which worked and some of which would have worked had it not been for one missed assignment. The point is that the staff has identified problems and made changes that were partially effective and may work better with practice.
  16. Damn, I thought YOUTUBETV had ALL the Duck games...
  17. No. I'm not down with/Bryce. If Whit pulled him at halftime, that's all I need to know. We know how good of a coach he is...
  18. Information on backup QB Luke Fahey, who will battle Tavien St. Clair in the off week for the starting job. St. Clair looked far better than Fahey in the Buckeyes' spring game. I want to compete against the best, and I hope Sayin can return before OBD travels to Columbus. Who is Luke Fahey? Meet true freshman set to claim Ohio S...Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day offered the latest on Sayin on Tuesday — and it's looking like a true freshman will have to lead the team moving forward.
  19. The Audacity of Will Stein - https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/50221219/will-stein-kentucky-coach By gosh, Tosh isn't cutting it at Cal.
  20. No Way OBD should recruit and overpay this guy. The TE room is in good shape, and the money is needed for a capable OC, the D-line and O-line guys from the portal, and to hold on to the talented youngsters. Not going to shoot you, but bend over and assume the position! 🤬
  21. As a positive, the wealth of youth on defensive is definitely a compliment to Chris Hampton's development as a Defensive Coordinator. The one internal hire Lanning got right!
  22. I'm trying NOT to look past the next two games because OBD have shown that they need to focus....but, this is some interesting news out of Columbus that makes me think of a movie line: "So you're telling me there's a chance??" https://247sports.com/college/ohio-state/article/ryan-day-julian-sayin-injury-luke-fahey-291556687/
  23. I think by the end of the season it will be a foregone conclusion that Lanning fully intends to bring on a transfer to add competition to the room. He's done it every season he's been here.
