Stunning Crowd for USC at the Coliseum...
I attended a USC game at the Coliseum in 1963. I believe that I knew the other 11 people attending. 😄 That's a huge stadium and has very quiet acoustics. There is also a relatively lack of fan enthusiasm. (It must be that incessant, stupid 'fight' song ... or maybe the horse left a, uh, package on the field.)

Will Lanning Run-It-Up to Make a Statement?
This is where I stand. Boise State is a good team. Our starters need a lot of real game reps before USC. No matter the score, starters will play at least 3 quarters (with normal rotations). Plenty of opportunity to put in the 3s and 4s with Portland State to see who shines.

New Look at Duck Sports Central
For those that did not notice, I moved all of my content to a single site rather than separating premium and free content. It is still all housed at the DuckSportsCentral.com domain, just a different look. The origianl site was done using a blogger template and custom domain. When I added premium content for the 2026 Polynesian Bowl, I created the substack site. But it was getting somewhat cumbersome to post to two different places (*three if you include Ducks Rising) with different structrures. But, I did like having a 2027 commit list and the current season schedule and the Substack architecture does not allow that kind of customization. So I have been working all day today to update the old site (it is now housed at https://hub.ducksportscentral.com/ ). What I wanted this to be was an easy place to see the commit list with links to my commit impact and scouting reports for each commit, the schedule, the Oregon roster, ChileDucks depth chart, season statistics when there are some, plus links to my most recent content as well as an archive of all ym prior stories. I hope you all check it out as an instant resource and enjoy the functionality and simplicity of that site. Oh, anjd keep checking out the content at DSC ( https://www.ducksportscentral.com/ ) as well!

Will Lanning Run-It-Up to Make a Statement?
Lanning doesn't run up the score. Unless it's personal. Everybody who can plays. If the lead gets big enough, a backup QB also. BSU will play hard, but not the same team as last year. We don't have any weaknesses. The O-line has been rated in the top the last 3 years, no drop off this year either. I think we cover until the #3 and #4's get in late. Beat the Broncos!!

Will Lanning Run-It-Up to Make a Statement?
I certainly don't foresee an error free game on either side. But I do see a complete change of the O and D-lines in the second half. Our 2nd's are undoubtedly superior and more capable than BSU's 1st's. Ducks will romp by 4 scores and not break a sweat. And humorously, here is a take from one of the main scribes on the Bronco Fan site. Note that he states that if BSU plays error-free, he'll be happy with a blowout game and an ugly score. :) "Boise State at Oregon While I think our o-line is going to be our strength offensively, I'm hard pressed to think of a more stout front seven the Broncos have ever faced. Any offensive effectiveness will entirely hinge on Madsen and our receiving corps making plays. Oregon's offense, fortunately, probably won't be firing on all cylinders--they are breaking in a couple of new 0-linemen, and Moore can experience pretty meh series where our defense can get some stops. Even so, a blow out is very much within the realm of possibility. If we play mistake-free and keep it competitive through the 3rd quarter, I'll be sufficiently content even if the final score is ugly (not unlike our game against Mississippi in 2014)."

Surprising Stat About Oregon....Sweet Memories...& the Light-Side
Thanks for another terrific post. The Seminoles struggled yesterday at home vs New Mexico State. Next up for FSU: No. 19 SMU, followed by a road game at No. 13 Alabama. Norvell's team better make a big jump from Week 1 to Week 2. Belichick won yesterday, moving Norvell up to first on the list to be fired in 2026.

Will Lanning Run-It-Up to Make a Statement?
Well, looks like between transfers and recruiting, BSU added 45(!) 3 star recruits in the 2026 cycle…which completely flies in the face of their recipe for success the last 20 years. “PAC12” Side note - CSU added 63 3 stars to their roster this year.

Will Lanning Run-It-Up to Make a Statement?
Blue chip ranked players want to play. If they don't get their chance, then they will find a school that will play them. So play them all. Blow out the Broncos from start to finish. The Ducks 2's and 3's are talented enough to be starters at BSU. Go Ducks........

Stunning Crowd for USC at the Coliseum...
It does seat 77K plus. Not sure OR could sellout that many of they were playing P st. I did watch most of the game though. Gawd that band is annoying. Hopefully the Ducks can take some wind out of it.
