Fall Camp News - Is It Believable?
Here's my perspective: In Lanning's best 3 years against elite teams OBD have scored on average 23 PPG and given up 35. Sure we want to be in the discussion, but in those 7 games we have performed significantly less than EVERY ELITE TEAM. It's something I've held back since the Spring. We've all deluded ourselves based on a simple look at the scoreboard. This year's team would have had to play flawless football, and we haven't seen that from Lanning or the players during his tenure. And frankly, we don't look even close to elite when you watch teams that are elite. I truly believe Dan Lanning is getting the very best out of players that don't measure up. Maybe not this year, but that is practically beside the point. People (trolls and those that hate Oregon) say Dan is a fraud. Lanning would probably make any of the middle tier in the B1G play above their level. If we want a title, were going to have to do better than our Ohio State victory in Eugene. OBD are going to have to beat elite teams by 7 to 11 points to truly be considered a contender. That is a tall task for any program. But that would restore credibility in our building. Excellence requires more. We will know we're on the cusp when people start fearing us. Everybody.

Prediction Contest: Oregon vs. Nebraska....Join US!
--Nebraska wins: --Score: 24-23 -- turnovers created by Oregon: 3 --sacks of the opponent by Oregon: 4 --How many passing yards by Oregon: 225 Does a huge turn around require more than just one week? Is Nebraska at 5-1 a legitimate contender? If the answer to either is yes, then it's easy to pick Nebraska.

Watching the replay looked like an elbow situation to me. Bad angle, both me and the arm.

Really need a win. Playoff door still open, lots of top teams losing today. And considering how many Ducks opponents are/were/could be top 25 teams, 2 losses not a death sentence. Release the quackin'.

Down Goes Texas....Again
The S(elf) E(limination) C(onference)!😁 No wonder Sankey wants a 24-team playoff! 🤪 AL, UGA, Texas, and Mizzou go down. But A&M did capture The Citadel.🥸

Fall Camp News - Is It Believable?
This season is disappointing, absolutely. Yet, the Ducks have lost twice, once to a team that lost their first game and hasn't lost since (currently ranked 18) and the other undefeated (currently ranked #12). My Saturdays have been totally jammed so I haven't seen a game live yet, but watching the replays we have lost the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball more than we have won it. We looked like we could beat anyone in the country vs USC, then we turned it over 7 times vs UCLA. SEVEN times, I'm still trying to get my head around that. Yet, we lost by 2 points. I don't think the O-line is going to be great, but if they can get up to okay the offense has enough weapons to score a lot of points. I haven't given up hope for this years version of the Ducks yet, there is a lot going wrong that's fixable, but there's no time to waste.

Let's discuss the Nebraska game before and during, here in this thread with fellow intense Oregon fans. Being critical of coaching decisions and player performance is FINE, as that is what we do in a forum. But do not get personal towards the players, coaches, or fellow OBD forum members. But being angry, joyous,....all of it is normal and fine, so enjoy the game! A Good Win Last Time....

Ohio State QB Injury
Clearly the SEC has a secret bounty program to take out B1G quarterbacks. Totally believable. Also, I have a bridge for sale if anyone’s interested... 🤪

Down Goes Texas....Again
Texas will plunge two spots following that loss. Almost as far as Mississippi St.’s 3 spot plunge following a 0-31 loss. Florida and LSU back in the top 5.

Ohio State QB Injury
With Sayin's injury today, there are now 6 starting QBs in the Big Ten who are out with injuries. Along with starters who aren't meeting expectations, it is something every reserve QB should think about before flirting with the portal.

Ohio State QB Injury
Ryan Day stated postgame that he did not have all the details yet, but that Sayin would "probably be out several weeks". Day likely didn't have a full diagnosis.

Ohio State QB Injury
While we should never want to see an injury to our guys or those on other teams, Ohio State QB Sayin left the game today with a shoulder injury with about 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter. We play tOSU on November 7. If it is a pinched nerve, he should be good to go by tomorrow. The other possibilities would might keep him out of the game against us. When a quarterback leaves a game holding a limp, dangling, or heavily supported arm (often cradling the elbow or forearm in a sling or jersey position), it typically points to a significant structural shoulder injury. The recovery timeline depends heavily on the specific diagnosis and severity: Common Shoulder Injuries and Timelines AC Joint Sprain (Shoulder Separation): Grade 1 (Mild): About 1 to 2 weeks of recovery. Grade 2 (Moderate): About 2 to 4 weeks. Grade 3 (Severe): Can take 6 to 12 weeks or longer, and may require surgery if the stability is severely compromised. Shoulder Dislocation or Subluxation: Conservative (No Surgery): Typically takes about 6 weeks to return once strength and range of motion are restored, though rushing back carries a high risk of re-injury. Surgical Repair: Requires 5 to 6 months of rehabilitation before returning to contact sports like football. Labral Tear or Rotator Cuff Strain/Tear: Minor strains: 2 to 4 weeks of rest and rehab. Severe tears or surgical intervention: Can sideline a player for several months to a full season.

They should be definitely out of the Top-15 but I'm not holding my breath.
