  3. What has been said, has been said. The talking heads have had their field day deconstructing the Ducks. Fans have done the fan(atics) thing. Friday night lights against a local non con "whippinghorse" will fade ALL of this last weeks "trauma" as this weeks storylines give everyone something else to talk/fret about. Long row to hoe now but it starts tonight. Tough, focused, mistake free execution. Then do it all over again for 9 more games. Lift your heads from tasks at hand on Thanksgiving and see if there is any OBD football worth remaining to play! 🤔 GO DUCKS!!!!

  5. The waiting period for a team drops from five years to three, then disappears entirely after six years, once the law takes effectThe Protect College Sports Act's updated text, released Thursday night, softened the language around conference realignment, making it easier for programs to move from one power conference to another, as TV contracts among the power conferences are set to expire in the early 2030s. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/conference-realignment-protect-college-sports-act-senate-revision/
  6. These guys might be able to help now. I agree on Streets and Feister for depth. I'm not so sure Guerrant, another WR, is needed right now. Three Recruits Who Could Help the Oregon Ducks Right Away
  7. 5 burning questions Oregon must answer in a softer matchup against Portland State1. Will the Ducks show fire in a lackluster matchup?2. Will the Ducks finally find a starting offensive line?3. Will any tight end step up and fill Jamari Johnson's shoes?4. Does Dante Moore actually change his stance?5. 8. Duckswire three keys to the game. 1) Execution, execution, execution. 2) Creative run game. 3) Win first down. Oregon football: 3 keys to victory for Ducks vs. Portland State
  9. As the "NEW" 10 game season is upon us my prediction for game one against PSU is.... DUCKS WIN 56-9 2 PSU T.O 4 Sacks 303 Yds Pass (Dante 250+, restoteam 53) (And I'm sticking with the 10 game reg season in my "fan"atics mind) 🤪
  10. 24/7 five keys to the game. 1) Play with the edge missing last week; 2) use the player led meeting; 3) discipline = fewer penalties; 4) Dante, let it rip; dominate both lines of scrimage. Five keys to the game: No. 21 Oregon vs Portland State
  11. I’m not sure that “getting it right” against Portland State will mean that much. The Ducks could play their backups for 60 minutes and win handily. Where they need to get it right is against USC. Right now that is the biggest game on their schedule. Win that one and their playoff hopes, while still precarious, remain a possibility…….and provide incentive to never again take the field and give less than 100 percent.
  12. Ducks 70-7 1 Viking TO 4 Duck Sacks 373 Duck passing yards
  13. It better be 60-3. If this is only a 21 point win then you might not want to watch the SC or UCLA games. The PSU game is a big deal. Not about if we win it is about how we win. This time it matters.

  15. Some people are saying that Coach has reached his ceiling. His record doesn't even seem to have as much value now, with some people. I'm pretty sure he lit a firecracker, and shoved it up their collective coal chutes, this week in practice...
  16. I'd like to see the defensive scheme make more sense. I saw on some replays where Amari Washington was being dropped back into coverage...a DT in coverage?? That just blew my mind and not in a good way. That particular play was one where the other 3 linemen were blocked and the QB was able to run through a gap for a first down (that gap would've been covered by Amari).
  17. I am totally without reservation pro Dan Lanning! We should thank him for the success he has brought us. He is a young coach and still learning. If he needs better coordinators, I trust him to realize it and get them. Id rather have him to guide us through these new times than all or at least most anyone out there. Go Ducks! I hope still this is the year, but if not there will be more.
  18. Ducks win 55-17 3 TO 4 Sacks 331 passing yards
  19. I am pretty sure it wasn’t new weasel! The exact origin of the phrase "It's not about the X's and O's, it's about the Jimmies and Joes" is unclear, though it is a widespread football idiom often attributed to legendary college coach Darrell Royal.
  20. Ducks win, 32-7 2 TO 4 Sacks 280 yards passing. Am hoping to see Duck Domination, but hesitant to believe this team is there yet.

  22. I think it's plausible Charles, I had the same thought.
  23. Thank you, Charles. I hope what you foresee will happen. Many of the top CFB players across the nation who are being handsomely paid have shown up early on and balled out. I haven't witnessed the money having an adverse influence on the majority of teams with top-rated rosters and well-compensated players. After the Peach Bowl debacle and with experienced players returning to win a Natty, the effort to date by many Oregon players has been pathetic. For two weeks in a row, Oregon players have been outhustled, outplayed, and embarrassed by G6 athletes. The team has finished at least 40 points short of covering the spreads. If future NFL money inspires them to up their game, so be it. If I were watching game film, I'd be furious with my and my team's effort, or lack thereof. Oregon was lit up by the media after the Boise State game and was a laughing stock this week. I'm sick and tired of watching OK State coach Eric Morris on TV noting that the Cowboys win was better than the final score showed. But he isn't wrong. If the players don't take responsibility and play to win, going from ranked 2nd to unranked could undo the recruiting class and make Oregon a less-than-desirable landing site for guys in the portal. I'm going to hope the first two weeks were an anomaly. But some key players have been injured; is there talent on the roster to replace a guy like Jeremiah Johnson? Get right on Friday night and let it pave the way to victory in LA.
