  1. Everything is better after beating the Huskies, everything feels better, tastes better, smells better, sounds better
  2. James Crapea of the Oregonian has the details. Oregon Women's Basketball All Pac-12 Guard's Endyia Rogers (Broken Left Hand/ Arm), Te-Hina Paopao out for 'the foreseeable future.'
  3. This is what Mario wants; a tough, physical "1-0" team runs the table, and rests their fate in the hands of The Committee. They beat an inferior Washington team in a storm on the road and next face the Pac-12 poison oak, Washington State. I agree with Charles, I'm glad that the Ducks are playing WSU next and not Purdue, and probably Utah instead of Michigan State the week after that. Each week gets more and more intense. A big difference between this year's teams and Chip's is that as soon as this year's team gets a lead I wish the game was over, it's a much different panic/pleasure experience.
  4. It couldn't happen to a more deserving fanbase than the Husky faithful who didn't realize that it does rain in Husky Stadium. This article from Duckwire shows why Duck fans are so fortunate to have Mario. Jimmy Lake's Endless Mistakes Should Make Oregon Fans Fall in Love With Mario Cristobal All Over Again.
  5. Alright, Heather!. Programming note, tomorrow on "Get Up" early on ESPN, Heather and SEC pumper, Paul Finebaum will debate this, if NFL heavy, then tomorrow. Good point about Alabama getting 6 yards on the ground against LSU. Alabama already got No.2 with an L, there were NO style Points in their win at home, in nice weather, over LSU.
  6. No sweat. Either a stifling performance from the Ducks D, or an Over/Under of 83.5
  7. It was a great day for Herbert and the Chargers, ending a 2 game losing streak, with a 27-24 win at Philadelphia. The win keeps the Chargers tied with the Raiders for 1st Place in the AFC West. Herbert led the Chargers on a last minutes drive ending with a game winning field goal with :02 left on the clock.
  8. Not a good time to be a Coordinator in the Pac-12 North? After Stanford's defensive no show against Utah how secure is the Cardinal's DC feeling? I could see the UW move, but this from OSU is a surprise.
  9. He is definitely a great recruiter and I think that is part of what I like about him so much. Mario bleeds green and yellow. The players saw it back when they pretty much convinced Mullens to hire him, and sometimes an AD will throw out that endorsement immediately. He has much to learn about being a head coach, not surprising. Saban changed his outlook after years of experience because he realized he had no choice if he wanted to keep winning, He's made more shifts this season than in the other years here combined. He wants to be here, and I'm glad for that.
  10. The gift that keeps on giving...though I'm not sure for how much longer.
  11. I agree, my original comment was just a shot at the hot air coming from the Washington fans more than from Lake.
  12. The real problem with what Cristobal said is that despite what we hear from Washington, they actually have little to do with football.
  13. The SEC LSU team that was beaten by Pac-12 UCLA ?
  14. I agree Jon, despite Alabama's tepid performance at home against LSU, they won,and The Committee" is not going to drop 'Bama after a win.
  15. It is done, and it's one of the biggest problems with a Committee "Picking and hypothyzing" the teams for "The Invitational. Instead of it being an actual Playoff.
  16. Yes, and that was a real game. Imagining what would happen in a game between Oregon and Alabama which you did in your original post was the hypothetical. All good.
  17. That could be, but Oregon covered the spread over Washington on the road, in a storm. Alabama was favored by 28 over a weak LSU team and beat them 20-14.
  18. Next week, ASU, a program with problems of their own, come to Seattle. Last might in, "Pac-12 After Dark" the Sun Devils beat the Trojans. Could be interesting...in the sense that I don't give Washington a chance.
  19. Gotta love the, "Struggle Bus" "The Huskies are what we thought they were!" a fairly mediocre team. But fun to beat no matter their current condition. Mostly Husky fans spent 3+ hours sitting, standing in that miserable weather, while the Duck fans, after all were, "Singing in the Rain."
  20. To be fair, hypothetical match-ups are not a part of the consideration for the weekly Top 4, just what both teams did the previous Saturday.
