  1. He only needed to make one of those chip shots and if Dan new something he should put someone else in there.
  2. My question to Dan is what do championship team do? They take the points at halftime and go into the locker room with the momentum. When your down 2 scores instead of 1 it feels like you have to go for it, if your only down 8 you kick the field goal and that puts you in a game winning situation next drive. This is what Sabin would do. Game management is what separates the men from the boys and the champs from the runner-up. I get the impulse to want to go for the big points in a shootout but this game is the textbook example of why you take the points. Let's say you do want to go for it on 4th and goal and your QB just threw one in the dirt on 3rd down, don't you at least handed it off to James who is almost automatic from 3 yards?
  3. He lost games due to the same exact thing.
  4. This is why you always take the points
  5. Of all the things the PAC refs scares me the most. At least we're past Stanford.
  6. Oregon is even spending good money at ESPN with the Bodacious adds, come on show us the Love. ESPN just really hates Oregon, more than most channels, likely because we're one of their biggest viewership losses next year. Why promote a team that you aren't make money off. They halve to promote USC with the potential two-time Heisman winner.
  7. My favorite stat of them all. This is what separates the men from the boys. The vast improved of the D from last year is really sumed up in that stat. Last year's D where in the right place allot of the time but just couldn't finish. I'm sure one of the coaches on here could comment further on angles, technique and positioning that had improved, future article wink wink.
  8. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Ducks win this one by 21. They're going to be very hard to stop on offense as the mutts are 65th in total defense nationally and 8th in the PAC. Meanwhile the Ducks are 8th nationally and 1st in the PAC in defending the pass. Oregon is going to get some stops where the Mutts D is going to have a tough go of it. The only thing that has stop the Ducks are the Ducks. Ball control and clean football will be the keys to the game. I know stats are deceiving but the eyeball test is telling me that their Defense is nowhere near as good as ours and our offense is more balanced and just as dangerous. Yes I'm wearing duck pond green colored glasses today.
  9. According to cfbstats.com Oregon is now at #7 in the nation in total defense, allowing only 153.6 yard a game! Oregon is also #2 in total offense in the nation, averaging 557.8 yard a game! Oregon is the only team in the nation in the top 10 in both of those categories! I'm a believer!
  10. Very undisciplined football.
  11. Colorado is running the ball on the USC D, just wait till the see the Ducks running game.
  12. This is going to be good for recruiting. Oregon played a perfect half of football in front of 12.6 million people!
  13. I feel the same way, Oregon should cover but if coach Prime comes up with a great game plan this could come down to the wire and a one score game. The other thing that could go wrong is Oregon gets way too many penalties.
  14. We could certainly use a few more good pitchers, hope these guys are them.
  15. Great point, they do have that feeling of being scrappy and Sanders is that kind of QB that wills pas to happen. Although Adams was much better at throwing on the run, he could throw a perfect 35 yard lob while backpedaling. Never underestimate your opponent. That being said the Ducks have the ability to put this team away early and just keep rolling to the end. If they don't it will be because of penalties and just dumb mistakes.
  16. Even better than him getting the start is that his only stat was 1 tackle, which I believe he made in run support. I can't even remember them throwing the ball in his general direction. It's been a little while since the Ducks have had a lockdown corner. I really hope he's the next one in long line of great Oregon corners.
  17. I really hope that we get back to that strategy. The most exciting, entertaining, and down right fun games ever where during the CK days. This game plan is also recommended by all of our cardiologists.
  18. I personally was asking why we were getting so many receivers when we we're already loaded. Make more sense if your throwing the ball a lot. Don't know if you can ever have enough DBs in this league and apparently they make great LBs as well. The whole scheme seems to lean towards defending against the pass hence the DB's playing at the LB spot. Outside of the front 4 guys playing on the line they all seam to be DBs.
  19. Top 5 passing teams in n the nation after week 3 1 Washington 2 Colorado 3 Washington State 4 USC 5 Oregon Looks to me that Oregon is already playing to its passing game strength. But it may have to do so even more to keep up with the rest of the PAC-12.
  20. I really want CSU to win this one but it would be better for us if they didn't. Always hate the Juxtaposition.
  21. Looks like the PAC 12 and the SEC switched their MO this year. PAC is dominating the out of conference games schedule and SEC is making it look hard. Georgia didn't look good either.
  22. 14-14 at the end of the first, Colorado is looking less than efficient especially their run game and and their D.
  23. It would be great if both Texas and Tennessee lose. Down with SEC.
