Stanford's Upgraded Offense: 'The Slow Mesh RPO' ?
I watched the WF v. Clem game this weekend. First time I had seen that offense and found it fun, interesting and very effective. It will take a lot of discipline for guys to stay in their lane defending it. I would put a LB on the back exclusively. Change it up from play to play but always have a guy assigned. Secondary has to play well. Passing game is Tree's strength. Gotta take a step up with Furds big receivers. I think Bridges has his best game of the season.

Arizona State Football Coach Speculation Swirls Around Oregon Coordinator Kenny Dillingham
If Dilly wants to bounce to go coach his alma mater, so be it. Would love to see him stick around but that is a pretty big opportunity. I don't know but I think he makes over a mil as Oregons OC. Could be wrong. Money might not be the driver at this point. Whether now or down the road, Dilly will move on to other things. Would love to see what he can do at Oregon for a few years first. If he is offered the ASU job he should take it. It's to big of an opportunity not to. If it were me, I believe in myself and go make ASU the best team in college football. Good luck to the young man no matter what he ends up with.

Oregon’s Red Zone Woes Are On Dillingham
I was impressed with how Cougs defended the short field in the first half. They came out fast and with a ton of energy. I have to recognize the great play by WSU in the red zone that first half. Dilly made some adjustments going into second half. I think Dilly grew up a bit in that cougs game. He got his 1%. Going forward, KD will be a much better play caller. That Cougs game should be huge in terms of team growth. We will see Saturday. Trees biggest threat is the passing game. I am more concerned about Ducks pass D than Dillys play calling. Hats off to the Cougars. They are a fun team to watch. I hope they play like that the rest of the year and it's not just teams playing bigger than they are on Oregon week.

Would Oregon Fan Base Welcome Nix in 23?
Thats another issue I have been thinking about. Bo's longest balls (in air) haven't led his receivers. Nix would have a couple more touchdowns on the sheet if he could. 30-40 yards he is good. 50+ and the receiver is waiting around like the DMV.

There Is More than One Way to Coug It
Ok, late in the game with Ducks down 12. I looked at my wife who knows almost nothing about football and said... " Babe, Ducks can still pull this off. Score here quickly, get a three and out and score again for the win". Every Duck fan on the planet, every sports fan on the planet knows this is a common thought. She does not know this. She thinks I am a flippin genius. I doubled down on wins Saturday. Then... Mariø happened. It's a wonderful life.

These Are WOW Stats for the Ducks
Wow! 9 of 10 on 4th down. That is a great stat

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words...What are Your Words?
Is Mariø a tougher lift? We will never know.

Would Oregon Fan Base Welcome Nix in 23?
Would Oregon fans support Nix as the Starter if he chooses to play another year? Might be to early for this question but I was thinking about this possibility today at work. I have been all about the Bo Show since he announced his transfer to Oregon. It feels like I am one of very few. I would love to see Nix play 2 seasons at oregon. If Nix sticks around, Oregon would lose Butters or Ty to the TP for sure. I am fine with that, especially with DM coming in. Bo knows he won't have the protection he has this year from the Bulls up front. He will have a ton of skill talent with another year under them. I also assume the defense next year will be better by far with a year under Lanning's scheme. Would love to hear what others here think.

"What’s Wrong with Miami’s (QB) Tyler Van Dyke?"
I love the fact that Miami paid the first 2 years of Lanning's contract.

Washington State Could Determine the Conference Champion?
Beavs are another team that might spoil a season. They are at Utah and Washington. They have OBD at home. Haven't been able to say this in a while but the Pac is a tough conference.

It's About Time That we had a New Conversation About Oregon QB Bo Nix
Loved the acquisition of Nix from the start. He is a QB, yes... but more so he is a football player. Tough and gritty. I saw Oregon as a perfect place for him to rise above his reputation. Supper happy he isn't making me look foolish. I need all the help I can get With Nix performance yesterday, in my mind, he has solidified himself as an Oregon Duck as much as anybody.

Is Oregon STILL a Conference Champion Contender to You?
Oregon's schedule looks to be in Ducks favor. Toughest road game is in Corvallis and the Beavs are playing tough right now. Tree, UCLA, Fusky, and Utes are all at home. The last three games on the schedule are going to test this young team and staff. The Pac is looking to be a good, tough conference this year. Get through the gauntlet and you have a shot at playoff. Whoever emerges from the Pac, if they get the nod from CFP, will have the experience and adversity of conference play to lean on. Pac 12 might be the toughest conference to survive right now. IMO there are 6 legit top 25 teams in the Pac. I think whatever team gets in will be competitive and just maybe...

This Win Was Perfect!
I don't know what to think about this team or game. I do know that the Iron is in the fires and being shaped right before our eyes. I agree that this game was necessary in so many ways and will pay huge dividends in weeks to come. Much like the UGA game. There is a ton of things to fix from this game. That starts with the head coach taking a look in the mirror. I have no doubt that's where Lanning will start. Ducks were stressed to the point a lot of teams would break. Ducks didn’t break and should be much stronger. It's games like this that solidify teams. Bring coaches and players together. The bond between them has tightened up. Duck's are something different after this game. Definitely a crossroads game. It will be fun to see what emerges from such an epic test of fortitude and grit.

Are You Aware of These Accomplishments from Today's Game?

Talk About a Road Scare!!!
Lanning got a gift. Got to get'em at times. Coaches have to have a serious discussion amongst themselves. It starts with the coaching staff to fix the issues we saw today. Young staff baptized by fire at the Palouse. In what appears to be a much better Pac 10 as a whole. Going to be an interesting year for sure

Talk About a Road Scare!!!
Going to be some hard practices this week. Lanning isn't going to be happy. That said, Ducks learned never quit.

GameDay Thread! Oregon vs. Washington State
This is what I was looking for in the coaching staff. How the team looked in hostile environment. Red zone looks bad. Super unfocused. C'mon coach

GameDay Thread! Oregon vs. Washington State
Oregon is not playing well and WSU is playing lights out. Only down 8. Second half is going to be all Oregon.
