  1. I believe Stanford is number 1 and I don’t see that school panicking like we seem to be. Just my opinion but I can’t see either school being able to compete in the lesser sports. They will flounder like a 4 year old in a wadding pool. Do some of those schools even have a pool or is it just ice rinks. I surely don’t think either school will do better at recruiting in their own state in football for the simple reason of playing in miserable weather for 3 or 4 years when living in Cali. all their lives. I think the SEC and maybe the Florida schools will benefit from this and so will other schools in the south west. I think both schools will become irrelevant in over half of their sports within 2 to 3 years because of travel issues. I see talent jumping ship in the transfer portal soon. If I were remaining schools west of the Mississippi I would jump all over this issue. Wanna play dirty well so should the rest of us. There are still many issues to consider but as far as I’m concerned both schools are dead to me no matter what happens.
  2. I somewhat agree. I don’t know what family ties his wife and the rest who inherit the fortune have with the Ducks but I’m sure life will go on. The longer the strength of the PK family stays in the Duck corner the stronger the brand will get and if DL can make good things happen on the field I’m sure they will thrive for as long as I’m around.
  3. I think we are caught up in what has happened to our Ducks the last 4 years and understandingly so. The way we were coached under MC we could have lost any game at any time and we probably deserved to lose more than we did. How many times did our defense save our buts in one score games the last few years because our offense was shut down by our coach. Does Auburn ring a bell? I now have complete confidence that this coaching staff will have our young studs read to play and I do expect several blowout games this season. I am sure the conservative approach by inept coaches is gone forever. ( I Hope 🤞🏻). All though the offense may sputter at times the defense has the talent to be the best Oregon defense ever and should keep us in every game, even Georgia. That being said I will always fear WSU, especially at home, but my fear of Cal is over. Go 🦆🦆🦆s
  4. I blame this on Phil ( Nike ) and Chip. Chip put the Ducks on the map with the new age explosive offense, I remember he had Nick Sabin freaking out and trying to get rules changed to slow down the Ducks. Nick did not want to play Dennis Dixon and he made that quite clear. When Tennessee came to Autzen I spent some time chatting with their unbelievably friendly fans and they were all talking about Oregon’s chances of knocking off Alabama for the top spot. They all knew they were not going to beat the Ducks. This leads me to believe that half the SEC was thinking the same thing. We are fortunate to have the Ducks in Oregon and the whole country knows it. Little surprised about Penn State being so high with all the internal problems in their recent past but at one time they were linebacker U and not a whole lot of teams in the northeast to chose from.
  5. National team championships Oregon 34 Ohio state 31
  6. Don’t worry. Apposing coaches won’t disrespect the Ducks at any position or they will lose big. Utah and sc only have one thing on their mind. Get to the pack 12 championship game a get blown up by the Ducks.
  7. Not sure how the scholarships work but does he still have one? Asking for a friend 🤣
  8. The facts are the facts. Mari was chosen by the players and agreed on by Mullen’s because he was unprepared for Sick’s quick departure. Mari had a lousy record as a head coach before being hired by the Ducks. Mari really has a line of BS that most of us swallowed for quite a while. Mari was stubborn beyond belief at times with his control over his coaches. Not a team player. Mari squandered a Heisman trophy winner and a possible Natty appearance with Justin Herbert with his idiotic in game coaching. Mari was in the process of running off a good portion of his team to the portal and had totally lost them at the middle of last season. Mari promised the players and their families to take care of them but at the end he failed them all. To sum it up I wish you Cane fans have a better opinion of Mari in 4 years than us Duck fans but odds and recent history says you will not.
  9. Well top 5 is where our recruiting will be also.
  10. Will the Ducks be good this year? Yes. Will they have a better offense than Georgia? Maybe. Will they have a better defense than Georgia? Not likely. Will they be favored in most of their games? Probably. Will the coaching staff get more out of our players? Without a doubt. Will they win more games than Georgia? Possibly. I don’t think Georgia will be as good as last year and I think the Ducks probably will be better. Going to be an interesting start of the season traveling east to start the season against the defending champs. My money is on the Ducks and the points. Go 🦆🦆🦆s
  11. The Ducks just added a QB. Not sure what that means. But to me someone must be leaving. Oregon Ducks add commitment from FCS QB transfer WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Van Dyne played at Liberty North High (Mo.) in under coach Greg Jones, who is now an analyst at Oregon.
  12. Puzzling that the Ducks weren’t the best finishers out of the pack. Not a good look for our recruiting effort.
  13. It will also be fun to watch the o-line get off the ball against defenses that don’t know what play is coming ahead of time. If we Duck fans knew what play was coming the opposing defense knew it as well.
  14. It’s pretty obvious to me that some states don’t give a crap about player safety. The difference between the body maturity between a sophomore and a senior is ginormous. For baseball and track I see no problem but for football it should not be allowed. Period.
  15. Puzzling year for our track teams. We don’t seem to be getting the blue chippers like in the past.
  16. Can’t drive one of those without a mink coat. Dare him to show up in the locker room with that on.
  17. Also keep in mind Bo was brought here for two years not one. Lot of talk all about him grooming Ty And Butters for 2023. If they can’t crack the lineup this year does anyone think that both those guys will be here for 2023. Myself thinks not unless Bo is standing on the podium in New York or is heading for the pros.
  18. Bo will be Bo but I will take that. We we all know he will not be facing SEC defenses in the pack. Against Georgia, the best defense in the land, he had 2 picks in three games. His teams rushed for less than 50 yards in 2 of the 3. In the 3rd Bo was their leading rusher. Guess my my point is bo was playing on a team with allot of weaknesses and he was forced to carry the load while running for his life. Picks were inevitable. Bo will have some bumps along the way as will the entire team. But the Ducks offer him more weapons, a coach he knows from his best year, and a defense that should give him easier opportunities than at Auburn. Game 1 will be a rough one but he and his coaches know Georgia as well as anyone so if he is the competitor I think he is he will be up to the challenge. As far as the number of picks goes 5 is acceptable 10 if they win every game 😅
  19. The only thing I can see is a huge improvement over our last few years. The smoke blown up our butts about MC and his ground and pound idea of what an offensive line should look like was a huge disappointment for all of us. The Ducks have had many great offensive lines in the past and under the new regime I believe it will be good again. I’ve been a Pittsburgh fan since grade school and they have had some great offensive lines but last year they were pretty bad. I’m hoping it was a talent problem more than a coaching issue. They did loose some studs however. Hard to replace one of the best centers ever in the NFL.
  20. I to like a conservative approach. There are hundreds of examples of money not buying the best team. Although the QB is the most important player on the team because he is the one starting every play and making the correct decision on the direction of the play. After the ball is snapped the importance of keeping him upright and having open receivers to get the ball to becomes critical. If your defense can’t stop the other team from scoring then your 5 star million dollar guy may not be the answer. Not sure we will see Nick or Kirby in a bidding war for one player. My point is you can’t put all the eggs in one basket. Our National champions every year are all examples of a well rounded teams. That recipe for success is the one I would use.
  21. If the bats stay hot the ducks should come through with no problems unless they run out of arms.
  22. Not sure we need this guy unless he is a down to the earth kid. We have five stars on the roster now and I am not sure how impressed I am. MC held one back and we may never see Ty take a meaningful snap as a Duck because of his pathetic all about me style of coaching. Not sure why Ty has hung around unless he knows he was overrated. And maybe nobody has dialed his number.🤪
  23. Looks like hitting practice fo the Ducks. Needed a little confidence boost.
