  1. A large portion of today’s 5 & 4 star high school kids have relied on their talent rather than their conditioning. Most have been coddled since grade school. It will be interesting to see which players will be willing to nut up and become real football players and which ones bail out.
  2. It will be interesting to see how these talented Ducks are going to perform under what I consider a rough schedule. I certainly don’t expect a final four appearance. However after saying that I think we have enough talent, if healthy, to take the pack. QB will be the issue. If our coaching staff can develop our QB room to produce a Mariota or Dixon like player out of the group then the Ducks should be a dynamo and win a bunch of games.
  3. I only hope that our coaches Instill confidence in our QBs. Unlike the last four years. Can you imagine Chip telling JH not to run. My god the Chargers have way more to risk than the Ducks did and they run Justin quite a bit. There are very few teams, both college and NFL, that are successful without Quarterbacks that can’t escape pressure or run for first downs against man defenses. Excited to see what our new coaches do with what I think is a lot of undeveloped talent at that position. I think we will see a big change in the production of the most important position on the roster.
  4. I hope he tries to run too much sunshine up his players ars.😂
  5. We can only hope these players buy into what this staff brings to the table. At the end of spring camp we will find out the answer. The kids that jump in the portal will be the ones that aren’t going to work into DLs plans or are just to lazy to try. The kids that are hanging around are the ones that will take the culture into the future and show up to play hard every down and that’s all we can ask. Go 🦆🦆🦆s
  6. Hope everyone noticed the great fan support of the #2 team in the country. I’d call that pathetic at best. You know our players are amused by it.
  7. Can’t say the Volunteers aren’t trying.
  8. This would be a decent job for him for sure.
  9. Interesting idea but I’m not giving up spare time in the spring to watch D11 football. Charles is correct. The networks would not likely jump on that.
  10. It might be that the Ducks have their NIL packages figured out and now is the time to act. I’m with you John it is a little strange or maybe steelhead fishing is hot on the McEnzie River. But if he lands 2 or 3 of these studs it will be sweet indeed.
  11. Thanks For the link. This young man is aggressive, motivated, and humble at the same time. He is calculated in everything he does and I doubt if we will see the deer in the headlights look on the sidelines we have seen in the past few years. If he can’t get players and fans motivated then there is something wrong with our DNA. Can’t wait to see if he can land some of this group coming in this weekend. I think he will. Go Dan.
  12. It will be hard for Thompson to start over Nix in the beginning and I blame that totally on MC and his staff. He should have been getting plenty of minutes by the start of pack 12 play last season but that didn’t happen. If he does beat out Nix early then we will know just how good he really is. On the defensive side of the ball I’m not as worried. Our new coaching staff will have our defense playing on their toes instead of their heels with a controlled aggressive approach that will drive opposing teams nuts. This should cause plenty of havoc and probably will cause far less injuries than what we have seen the last couple years. Attacking defenses are much more fun to watch for all us fans. Going to be a fun ride and will give this Forum plenty to talk over in the coming months. Let the music start. Go🦆🦆🦆s
  13. These guys rarely are not a problem.
  14. AB hit a lot of wide open hash marks.
  15. Hard to complete passes when the ball hits the ground 5 yards from the receiver.
  16. Won’t take MC long to ruin another one.
  17. If they speed up the games that only means we will get to the commercials that much faster. Oh boy.
  18. Way easier for Bo to face pack 12 defenses than in the SEC. He won’t be overwhelmed by the ruckus crowd that will be there in the Georgia game. If TT can win the job then more power to him but Bo probably gives us the best chance to stay in that game. By the end of the BYU game we should know who gets the job for the pack 12 opener. Be an interesting start to the season and if we can come away with a 2 and 1 start that is all we can ask for.
  19. This probably is not the last exit we will see. Some of the current players may not fit into the scheme and some may not want to work that hard. That being said I have little doubt that this staff will have all the cogs in place to run this team at a high octane. Still lots of good pieces out there to choose from.
  20. You got the fuskies a little high me thinks.
