(Former) UW QB Demond Williams Entered the Transfer Portal
Just heard that on the way in to work as well. I no longer consider it "tampering" any longer as there is no way to actually regulate communication between players and their potential suitors. I would, however, find it odd for Oregon to knowingly try to get him to leave knowing his potential legal predicament. Could be interesting.

Time to let Noah Whittington put together his two best games he's ever played as a Duck and go out as a hero! With Dierre Hill in there to keep him fresh of course.

Can This Be the Time of the Duck?
I feel like OBD defense is absolutely up to the task. Since the Indiana loss, they have proven that when mistake free/few football is played, they are an absolute menace to any opposing offense in the nation. The D line is much improved, the secondary has a star in Brandon Finney. I believe the defense will hold up their end of the bargain. The offense needs to show up and get points (3 or 7) on darn near every possession. Play the ball control game just like we did against Tech. Limiting Indiana's touches and time of possession will be huge. We will get back to Atlanta on the back of our run game and Dante Moore's improved decision making.

Oregon Mentioned For Landing Spot For Raiola
If Moore goes then I say bring a transfer in to compete. I definitely agree that Raiola has that raw look that Dante Moore had during his stint at UCLA. I am most curious as to how Lanning addresses QB development now that Stein is gone. Who will he bring in to be our next "QB whisperer"? This hire will definitely affect how attractive we look for potential transfers and recruits moving forward.

Oregon's Uniform Reveal vs. Trojans
Personally, I loved our uniform combo at the B1G Championship game last year. This is basically the same thing with the winged helmets instead of the "O". I have zero problem with it whatsoever. I do, however, wish we didn't overuse the black combos earlier in the season. Rolling this out for USC only would have been 🔥🔥🔥. DanLDuck brought up the uniform-reveal Wednesdays running out of steam. I'd have to say I agree. The athletic department already puts out the fan color-scheme before the season starts. It would be awesome to go back to the days of the reveal being when they do the walk-out at the Mo!

First Coaching Domino Falls: Franklin to VT
A rumor that is more smoke at the moment but looks to be heating up is that VT has offered Sam Leavitt a Brink's truck worth of NIL $$$ to transfer. Franklin has already been working quick to snag up former Penn St recruits as well.

How Short is Dante's Leash Against Iowa?
Zero chance of Brock playing unless Moore gets hurt. I'm more interested in seeing Will Stein dial up the offense we rolled with in the second half of the Wisconsin game from the jump on Saturday. Jordon Davison should see a healthy dose of touches. That OL should be in the face of the Iowa D line early and often. It's rare that I will ever say this so here I go. The part of our running game during the Mario Cristobal era that I never had an issue with (not talking formations) was how we would continuously beat the heck out of the opposing defensive lines until they were worn out and broken. By the second half we were breaking off solid runs and creating "3rd and short" scenarios regularly. We have an OC that is far better than anything MC had during his time and has more talent at his disposal. With as good a defense as Iowa claims, we need to run right at them. Moore needs to be a high level game manager. Make the necessary throws, but get plays into the right run reads. Keep the clock running and get out of there with the W.

With the Job in Front of Them, Ducks Should Make a Radical Uniform Choice
I've always believed that the uniform combos should be earned not given. Keep the three year uniform rotation, but start with the base home and away kits in the early season. As the wins come, so do the combos. I feel like this would still sell extremely well with the recruits; as well as have the backing of the fans.

The Quarterback Conspiracy Theory or I am So Confused.
Brock, for not even being in the assumed 3 deep rotation, looked extremely comfortable on the field. It's clear that Will Stein and company are pulling the best out of the entire room. It appears they are giving all of the QBs the autonomy to get the play into the right read if necessary. While I didn't see him changing the play at the line like Dante, Dillon, and Bo all do, I did see him getting them into mostly favorable run reads and going through his progressions on passing plays. Whether or not he is truly ahead of Austin or Luke is irrelevant at this point. What is relevant is that a guy that no one had their eye on looks like he can genuinely operate in Dante's stead should the need arise. Will Stein is clearly a great QB coach and our depth is proof.

Sometimes Losing Is Winning
If I know Dan Lanning the way I think I do then that picture right there is posted everywhere inside the Hatfield-Dowlin football complex. I'm also going to assume with reasonable certainty that the culture DL has imbued upon this team places a premium on personal accountability. I believe everyone in that locker room feels that they let the guy to the right and the guy to the left of them down. I believe that they are eager to show that they will hold up their end of the bargain to their teammates. I believe adjustments will be made. But most importantly, I believe that the loss will reinstate the "chip-on-the-shoulder" mentality that the season started with; following last year's Rose Bowl. The saying that "you learn more from your losses than your wins" is accurate across the board; and come Saturday we will find out just how much they have learned.

Run The Gol' Dang Ball
Last weekend, no one can argue that Will Stein's offense didn't seem have any answers for Curt Cignetti's defense. He looked to be relying on the passing game far to early and often. This clearly got Dante Moore into a bad rhythm that he couldn't work his way out of. Fortunately one of the nations top analysts, and our own Geoff Schwartz, thinks we have had the answer all along. Autzen ZooGeoff Schwartz reveals how to get the Oregon offense back...Geoff Schwartz knows ball.
