Bo Nix - Our Second Heisman Winner?
I would normally think that Bo winning the Heisman would tick off the Auburn fans, but they’ve got enough things to be mad about right now. Like getting their teeth kicked in by their week-12 cupcake they scheduled as a warm up for the Iron Bowl.

Will ASU Destroy Oregon’s Playoff Hopes AGAIN?
As far as playoffs are concerned, FSU will have to win the rest of their games with the backup quarterback. However, next week’s game is against Florida who also lost Graham Mertz for the year. I hope Louisville shows up for the ACC championship game.

Nice Job, Mario!
I watched the game from start to finish and Miami was tackling late out of bounds the entire game. It looks like their aggressiveness got the better of them. I do think TVD is a good QB but a victim of the system.

You’re right. He likes to open it up in meaningless games. He waits for bowl games to grind it out against average defenses.

The Beavers Control our Destiny
This is Washington’s last challenge before next week’s scrimmage vs. Wazzu. They’re going to sell out tonight because they know they’re officially eliminated from the playoff with a loss. I think they win by a TD.

Miami is actually letting TVD throw the ball. They have 14 points in the first quarter. It’s amazing how that works out.

The Beavers Control our Destiny
I don’t know if the committee is too keen on putting two SEC teams in the playoff. A one-loss UGA teams wouldn’t have a very strong strength of schedule. Their only wins against ranked teams would be Mizzou and Ole Miss. Tennessee will drop out of the top 25 after tonight. I’m still pulling for the Dawgs, though. If they beat Bama that diminishes Texas’ only good win. Of course, this is all for naught if the Ducks don’t win out.

Will ASU Destroy Oregon’s Playoff Hopes AGAIN?
The positive impact of that loss in 2019 is that it allowed guys who suffered through the 2016 season to end their careers on a high note. Losing by 5 TD’s to LSU wouldn’t have been as fun as winning the Rose Bowl

What Happened to Innovative Chip?
There is a very simple answer to this question: Jill Cohen. His priorities shifted once he started dating her in 2015. He no longer has all 24 hours in the day to dedicate to football.

Will Stein: How Much Longer in Eugene?
With all of the anticipated movement this year it looks like some G5 jobs could be coming open. Jimbo is gone and it looks like Dave Aranda is standing by to be fired by Baylor, so that leaves two possible openings for Jeff Traylor from UTSA. My guess is UTSA might look at someone who is familiar with their program and who also is killing it on the coaching front. This is where Stein comes in. He’s young, but that’s where programs have been trending lately. There will be plenty of more jobs as well if Chadwell and Fritz move up from Liberty and Tulane. It would suck to lose Stein, but his resume is playing out on the national stage, so he will get scooped up sooner or later. Maybe this year. I’m sure he’ll get a raise, but that might not be enough to keep him from a head coaching job.

One of These Things is Not Like the Others
I saw a comment on a story earlier that stated: ”Never pay a man who goes by Jimbo any more money than what is required to fix your car.”

One of These Things is Not Like the Others
This is a great video. Pate always has his finger on the CFB pulse, so I find his stuff very informative. The biggest takeaway from this is when he said he knows “definitively” there are coaches in the mix that aren’t on anybody’s radar. We’re talking Riley to USC type of stuff. It’s at the 5:30 point in the video.

One of These Things is Not Like the Others
I really don’t think A&M is serious about DeBoer. He’s a great coach, but they need someone who can recruit Texas and the South. DeBoer hasn’t done a really great job of recruiting the West Coast. Transfers are fine for filling gaps, but you need a solid foundation.

Canzano on Lanning to TAMU: 'Have You Met the Guy?'
Texas A&M is in a bit of a conundrum. They have a reputation as a big spender with little to no patience. A big name coach is going to want big money and he’s going to want it guaranteed. The reason being is if the Aggies pull the plug on him due to their lack of patience then he is going to want to be compensated. However, A&M might not want to make the same mistake they made with Jimbo. So, it might be hard for them to pry a guy away from a job who already has a good contract and job security.

Oregon Special Teams -- What's Up With Camden Lewis?
I remember that kick well. However, I gave him the benefit of the doubt because the playing surface looked like a half eaten taco salad.

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
I personally like Kiffin to A&M. He and Sark worked under two of the best head coaches in recent history. They’re great recruiters and offensive minded. The Aggies haven’t had a decent offense in 10 years.

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
True. However, we have to travel to the fertile areas.

Canes Duck Envy Continues
They don’t seem to be happy in their current coaching situation. That’s so weird. Oregon upgraded their HC bigly | CanesInSight WWW.CANESINSIGHT.COM They are so happy Mario left. Watching their offense makes me sick. It’s the complete opposite of ours.

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
Disagree. Every team you mentioned has to come into their backyard to recruit effectively. If Lanning was in College Station he and Sark would lock Texas down. The only thing holding the Aggie football program back is their management.

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
In all fairness to A&M, it’s a top 5 job in college football. Unlimited money, top notch facilities, fertile recruiting area, top conference, and most importantly….they’re starved for success. They’ll do anything to win. The drawbacks to coaching there are obvious. They want immediate success, so their coach will always be standing on a trap door. Also, they’re currently getting burned by a fully guaranteed contract, so their new coach likely will have a 3 year window to win the SEC and National Championship. Oh, and if he doesn’t, he only gets a percentage of his contract after getting fired.

Coach Dan Lanning Named Among Leading Candidate for Texas A&M Job
Oregon might do well to make DL a $10M/year head coach. He’s proved that he’s worthy and it’s the kind of thing great programs do to maintain stability.
