Charles, the most surprising thing to me was that DL left Brock in for 3 quarters. Huh?! How can we be surprised about the crappy offense? We have seen it before. We have won before. For me, that was the most boring game I've ever watched beginning to end ... AND with the most exciting finish.

This disastrous performance must be laid at the feet of the coaches. They have taken a team that pre-season had the 2nd best odds of winning the NC ... to what we witnessed yesterday. Yes, the O-line was more than awful and has been. And that results in poor qb play. But the game preparation, play calling, player motivation and skills development has been much too terribly lacking. Hmm. I wonder how we'd do in the Mid-American conference.

And I think everyone out here is Duck Fanville during the offseason verbalized wanting to know when the O-line was going to be reinforced with some experience, or better yet, some talent via the portal. Apparently, the coaches knew something we all didn't. And here we are. What a massive disappointment in the offense and coaching of our Ducks.

I'm uncertain whether he just committed a venial or mortal sin. 🫢 I guess if you ask anyone in the SEC they'll likely vote for the mortal variety ... especially Ole Miss. Maybe they'll pay him more down there .......................

I attended a USC game at the Coliseum in 1963. I believe that I knew the other 11 people attending. 😄 That's a huge stadium and has very quiet acoustics. There is also a relatively lack of fan enthusiasm. (It must be that incessant, stupid 'fight' song ... or maybe the horse left a, uh, package on the field.)

I certainly don't foresee an error free game on either side. But I do see a complete change of the O and D-lines in the second half. Our 2nd's are undoubtedly superior and more capable than BSU's 1st's. Ducks will romp by 4 scores and not break a sweat. And humorously, here is a take from one of the main scribes on the Bronco Fan site. Note that he states that if BSU plays error-free, he'll be happy with a blowout game and an ugly score. :) "Boise State at Oregon While I think our o-line is going to be our strength offensively, I'm hard pressed to think of a more stout front seven the Broncos have ever faced. Any offensive effectiveness will entirely hinge on Madsen and our receiving corps making plays. Oregon's offense, fortunately, probably won't be firing on all cylinders--they are breaking in a couple of new 0-linemen, and Moore can experience pretty meh series where our defense can get some stops. Even so, a blow out is very much within the realm of possibility. If we play mistake-free and keep it competitive through the 3rd quarter, I'll be sufficiently content even if the final score is ugly (not unlike our game against Mississippi in 2014)."

Mark Twain has allowed me to edit a bit of his lovely phrase when speaking of the SEC. "There are lies, damned lies, and the SEC." The SEC spokespeople and those at ESPN are trying SO hard to explain away the declining status of the conference as a fog of understanding by the voters. Best of luck, boys. Later, there might even be arguments that a 4-loss Texas team should make the playoffs. Yep. GO DUCKS!

Will somebody please tell me who has been added to the line through the portal and recruiting? And what, if any, do you see improvement over last year's group? My apologies.
