  1. Sad news. I remember meeting Russ in 1972 when I was 9 years old. Russ parachuted into my hometown of Gilchrist to meet up with my sister (also a duck), if I remember correctly they hung out for the day then my sis drove them back to Pleasant Hill/Eugene. Meeting Russ was a big deal for me as I was a huge track and field fan. I remember talking with Russ about throwing the javelin and thinking what a cool guy he was. RIP Russ.
  2. Let's revisit this topic in about 3 weeks.
  3. I'm guessing CO will be favored?
  4. Until the Ducks defeat WA, UT and USC I don't see much, if any movement in the polls. At this time we're lucky to be ranked at #13. Wins are wins, but ugly wins and nail biters only count toward rankings when you're playing higher ranked teams. Just keep winning. Go Ducks!
  5. Are you referring the the Wisconsin "jump around"? The single dumbest thing I've seen at a CFB game, ever.
  6. Colorado might actually be good.
  7. I'd like to suggest putting the next one on the south facing side of a building in the southern most part of downtown LA.
  8. The most retarded thing I've seen in a long while.
  9. This is what I'd call "enhanced optimism", nothing wrong with that!
  10. I wonder if any of these fuming Beavs remember Ed Ray? You know, Larry Scotts biggest advocate.
  11. Until an actual contract is announced there is nothing more to discuss, except the continued exits of schools honest enough with themselves to admit that there is no there-there.
  12. Great, the CEO group, the people responsible for hiring and overseeing LS and GK are going to meet. Surely this means great things are on the horizon!
  13. From what I've seen I have no reason to trust GK any more than LS. Nothing personal, but with such weak PAC12 school leadership it wouldn't matter much who fills the commissioner role. The presidents will always choose a commissioner who they find non-threatening, this is what weak leaders do. While I have little faith I'll reserve further judgement until the media package is released... or the whole thing collapses.
  14. Too many young athletes dropping from cardiac issues. No one seems to know why, or do they...
  15. Grateful Dead x2, Frank Zappa x2, Willie Nelson, Boston, Jackson Browne, The Clash and many more... That's how I remember Mac Court!
  16. I cut cable 4 years ago, not a single regret. I stream at an average of 600mbps with reliability at or better than cable. A multi-partner streaming deal could easily dwarf anything the SEC/BIG has in place. None of this concerns me. What does concern me is the competence of GK and the presidents who have a solid history of poor decision making, this is all on them at the moment. Fingers crossed!
  17. Yea, whatever. Classic carpetbagger.
  18. Yea... Props to Dillingham, but this is quite a stretch. This is up there with the silly stuff we hear from/about Prime.
  19. Abso-flippin-lutely hilarious! I wonder how many others were aware of this situation?
  20. Mighty fine hitting!!! Off to Super-Regionals!
  21. Not sure how OR lost much of anything in the portal. To have 'lost something' you would have had to 'have something' to begin with.
  22. In GK's case "hindsight" ended when USC and UCLA left the PAC.
