  1. Unless tOSU loses by some fluke, next week’s game is a lock for Gameday.
  2. Oregon’s defense was pretty nasty again last night. The starting unit has not given up an offensive touchdown in 9 consecutive quarters. That’s outstanding! IMO the offense looked pretty good last night too. Well balanced and moved the ball well. They had 300+ yards at half. If DG can stop throwing balls to well covered receivers running outs at the goal line, I like this team’s chances next week.
  3. I thought overall the defense was solid. Holding an opponent on the road to no offensive TDs is impressive. The offense still shows moments of greatness, mixed with a bunch of mistakes. That won’t get it done versus tOSU in two weeks. Agree with the poster above. Oregon is not a tier 1 team with the likes of Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, or tOSU right now. They are firmly in the second tier with Miami, Missouri, USC, and PSU. Hopefully, they can continue to improve. If the offense doesn’t improve significantly in the next two weeks, they are going to get rolled by tOSU.
  4. I suspect Georgia will stay above Oregon. I am guessing No 7 or maybe No 6 if they jump Miami.
  5. Gabriel looks out of sorts. Run the ball.
  6. There won’t be any third downs! Go Ducks!!!
  7. IIRC, Mario lost to 6 unranked teams while he was the head coach at Oregon, with a huge talent advantage and an NFL QB. The loss to some bottom feeder team is coming. Book it.
  8. Pillaging 4 teams is like throwing 5 yards short of the sticks on 4th down. That’s the best / funniest part about this! They stole less than they needed to be viable. How do you not make sure that you have 6 teams lined up before you do something like this? What a gross error in judgment.
  9. Is Texas State the prize now?? Man, this just keeps getting better. 😂
  10. So we have four Rivals 5* players now? Holy cow!!!
  11. I actually thought it was a decent idea to try and get a “best of the rest” conference together with the best MWC and AAC teams……….
  12. Considering the alternative of streaming on Apple TV with nobody watching for less media rights money, I am okay with it.
  13. USC with the famous 8 yard route on 4th & 9. Perfect ending!
  14. If you don’t punt and only have 6 third down attempts, that is a very very good day. Hoping to see more of that.
  15. And they didn’t even take one of the fastest growing TV markets in UNLV from Vegas. Why not take UNLV? It makes more sense than Boise.
  16. Wow. What to say about this? I don't think it is necessarily a terrible idea to try and rebuild the PAC with the best MWC and AAC teams available. Then you ensure that you are the Top G5 conference and likely have access to the playoff most years. I know some say they will get cut out next round, but I have my doubts. However, as another poster pointed out, where is the media rights money coming from and will it be any better than the MWC money? Seems like a big risk for the 4 teams leaving the MWC if there is no set deal on the table, unless OSU and WSU are footing the bill, which I guess is likely.
  17. Hmmm. Penn State was terrible yesterday, but they stay at No. 8? No. 9 is generous, considering.
  18. Jackson certainly looked the part at times last night. He is young, so will make some mistakes, but love his effort and motor. He is going to be very good.
  19. Idaho beat Wyoming yesterday, so at least we have that going for us.
  20. I am not going to panic yet. The next three games over 4 weeks are all very winnable, even with our current OL and discipline issues. They need to run with the lineup of Poncho at center, Harper at RG and Strother on the left side. That lineup played significantly better last night and they should have stuck with it longer. Hopefully, they see it on film and make the permanent adjustment. The penalties can get cleaned up, those are just stupid mistakes. I have confidence in Lanning that he will get this piece sorted out. Hopefully, the team can make some significant improvement before they play tOSU. But can they make enough improvement not to get completely boatraced in that game? I am skeptical right now. The stretch starting with tOSU is going to be brutal. If they can’t get it cleaned up, we still have access to the Las Vegas bowl as members of the BIG. 😂
  21. Yeah. I think they slid Harper over to RG and put Strother in on the left side. They looked to play a lot better with that lineup, then they went away from it. Little bit of a head scratcher. I wish they would have stuck with that for a while. We were ripping off some runs and had good protection.
  22. Finally a win against Boise! I’ll take it. I am confused though. It looked like they pulled Pickard out, put Poncho at center and moved Harper over and that lineup played well during that series. Then they went back to the lineup that was struggling. Why? Did I miss something??
