Exactly! Great post, Solar. Watch how Indiana runs their short passing game. The ball is out in front on a quick slant or screen. The receiver is never catching the ball with their back to the defense. They get tons of YAC. Then look at Oregon. They ask their receivers to turn 180 and catch the ball behind the line of scrimmage and then turn and make a play, all while the entire defense is running downhill towards them. They get little to no YAC in most cases. Oregon has amazing skill position talent, but you have to put them into a situation to succeed. Oregon consistently doesn’t do that in the short passing game. They ignore the middle of the field and the ball is never out in front.

If Oregon’s receivers were street racing, they would have been caught. We all know they can’t separate from anyone.

Easy - That the offense is so bad. But as Raiola said “we preserved in the end”. 🤣 A couple of things: 1) I can’t believe Lanning waited that long to make the switch, but I guess it worked. 2) The defense is really, really good.

So let me get this straight. Your offense has not converted a 3rd down in 6 quarters of football and you have 57 yards of offense and you start using your timeouts to get the ball back in hopes you can go 90 yards with no timeouts at the end of the half with a 3rd string walk-on QB? Mario thought that was idiotic. If Lanning doesn’t clean house on the offensive side of the ball after this game…..

Just run it every time, then quick kick on 3rd down.

Yeah. Agree. Then in the fall, the coaches were saying that they had 8 starting caliber players that were playing winning football. Right now, they maybe have 1.

Here are some of the things I heard coming out of fall camp before the start of the season: Drew Mehringer is a scientist. He is going to take college football by storm. Oregon has 8 offensive linemen that could be starters and are playing above the line football. Evan Stewart is unguardable. Akili Smith has improved drastically and is playing above the line football. Obviously, none of these things are close to being true. Should we believe anything that we hear from the coaches and/or players in fall camp? Or maybe we should just assume the opposite?

If I was Dante, I wouldn’t even consider a return next season unless there was some reassurance that the OL issues would be fixed somehow. I honestly believe we have seen Dante take his last snap in an Oregon uniform. I don’t think Dante or Dan will be willing to risk it considering how the OL is playing and now that the playoffs are essentially off the table.

Nebraska 6-3 0 0 39 I have over estimated the score every time this season. Not this time.

That feeling that Ducks fans are experiencing right now of extreme disappointment and completely wasting talent……..Just remember, USC fans have felt like that for about 15 years now. Maybe I should be a little nicer to them. 🤣

I watched that game and Nebraska shot themselves in the foot over and over again. I think this game will come down to who makes the least number of mistakes.

Yeah. I think the hype before the season was really overblown. I predicted 9-3. Rebuilding the OL and breaking in two new coordinators is going to have its challenges.

Yes. That’s what I was thinking. The TCU game where VA got hurt and Lockie played the second half. The offense couldn’t even snap the ball consistently the rest of that game.

Oregon 42-10 2 Turns 2 sacks 295 passing yards I think this is going to get ugly fast. Oregon will load the box and be able to stop the run. Nico is not going to be able to beat Oregon with his arm. Roderick Pleasant and Scooter Jackson have good stats against nobody. I don’t see them being able to stay 1:1 with Stewart and Moore. Oregon puts this one away early, then leans on the run game in the 4th quarter.
