  1. This is not a good football team right now.
  2. That last play call…sweep on 3rd and 6 is a head scratcher. Wow. going into halftime down? Yikes?
  3. IMO, this article is spot on. Strength of Schedule is used as a measure to compare teams, when the rankings that are used are purely subjective. College football needs something similar to the NET ranking used for college basketball, especially with these mega-conferences. Right now, there is little to no consideration for unbalanced schedules, number of conference games, cupcakes, etc. The days of evaluating teams based on preseason ranking and win % only should have been over a long time ago. Barely getting past some FCS school should put a major dent in your resume. Oregon has what amounts to a Q4 win and USC has what would be considered Q1 win. Right now, USC should be well ahead of Oregon in the rankings.
  4. Yeah. Agree. Bo had incredible pocket presence and probably contributed to those low sack and pressure numbers. Either way, our OL should have manhandled any FCS team and that is concerning for sure. Specifically, the right side of the line played about as poorly a game as I have seen in a long, long time. IMO, this was the worst performance by a Lanning coached team to date. I have to wonder if Gabriel was hurt or if he was not seeing the whole field. His numbers were fantastic, but there were several occasions where he checked down, where even on TV you could see a receiver running free down field for what looked to be an easy pitch and catch for a score. On one occasion, he checked down to Ferguson on 3rd down and I believe they picked up the first. However, the TV angle showed Tez running free towards the end zone with nobody close to him. On occasion, QBs will mis those reads, but that happened at least three times that I could see on TV. Which likely means it happened more than that. Did anyone evaluate film yet?
  5. I can’t remember the last time our OL played that bad in a game. The right side of the offensive line was like a sieve all night. Hopefully we get Bedford back next week for Boise and can slide Poncho back over to Center.
  6. How bad was the right side of the offensive line tonight? I hope Bedford can play next week. That was flat out UGLY.
  7. OL looks pretty bad. I hope Gabriel is okay after hitting his hand on that helmet.
  8. Another vote here for YouTube TV. The multi view is pretty cool too:
  9. I believe you can get all of this with YouTube TV, plus all the ESPN channels and other college networks. In addition, you get up to three BIG network channels for overflow (probably critical for hoops and other non-football sports). I did a ton of research and I kept landing back on YouTube TV as my best option for this year. I signed up last week and they have a deal this month for something like $54/mo for the first 4 months. Sometimes you have to laugh. It is almost like the cable companies are trying to go out of business.
  10. Its difficult to find good yellow gear. I don't love wearing jerseys and yellow gear outside of that seems thin. BTW...I'm heading to Michigan State, so I am taking recommendations on where to find good yellow gear. 🤣
  11. How in the world is ND only No. 4 on this list? The last time they won a major bowl game was the 1994 Cotton Bowl. Arguably, the best post season win they have in the last 30 years was in the Camping World Bowl. 🤣 ND might be the most overrated team in all of sports, not just college football.
  12. Just wow! Quack quack!!
  13. Hmmmm. Seems like exactly something USC would do. Get rid of a coach that is struggling to recruit and plug holes in his porous offense and defensive lines……and replace him with a coach that is struggling to recruit and plug holes in his porous offense and defensive lines……for more money. 🤣 USC has some of the some problems that they had under Helton with a better offense (and Caleb Williams) masking some of those gaps. At one point USC had 21 highly ranked DBs on their roster but somehow couldn’t find a few 3* lineman that were capable enough to stop teams from running at a clip of 7 yards per carry.
  14. Yeah. I love that about streaming. I shut off my Sling account after college basketball is over because I generally don’t have time to watch TV in the summers. Someone said that you can run a 4-game split screen on YouTube TV. That will be cool.
  15. I have not had cable in years. I was using Sling and an HD antenna for Duck games. I think I am going to make the switch to YouTube TV this year. We will see how it goes.
  16. Bummer. Hopefully, we pick him up in the transfer portal next year. 🤣
  17. My attempt.: Coach - Chip Kelly. He took the team to an undefeated season and a spot in the NC game. A milestone that I never believed I would see in my lifetime when I was a student. Player 1 - Marcus Mariota. The only Heisman winner and only QB to win a playoff game plus ridiculous stats with almost no mistakes. The GOAT. Player 2 - Kenny Wheaton. I am probably biased here, as I was a junior and in the student section for The Pick. At the time, this felt like the biggest thing that had ever happened in sports to me and is the defining moment of when the program really shifted. Player 3 - Joey Harrington. As the poster above noted, he was just nails. What seemed like 10000 comeback 4th quarter wins and dismantled Colorado. He just had “it” in college. Player 4 - LaMichael James. When I rewatch those games, I don’t think I truly understood at the time how dominate he was in that offense. He would have broken the Pac-12 rushing record if he would have stayed for his final year. Disclaimer - I started at Oregon in 1991, so didn’t include anyone before that as I never saw them play live.
  18. My opinion - do whatever it takes to win, as long as it doesn’t result in getting the SMU death penalty. I could care less what Oregon pays or gives to recruits. The ultimate goal is to win…period. 10-acres on the beach in Hawaii? A Ferrari? $1M in cash? As long as Oregon can compete with the best, I say good for them. Let OSU wallow in their “we have a family atmosphere” and “we bring our lunch pails to practice” and “we do things the right way” nonsense. We are trying to win championships over here.
  19. PWO? I thought they were already at 13 spots.
  20. Oh no. There is trouble in paradise. At least there is 1 USC fan that is not completely delusional.
  21. Terrible news. It sounds like they got run off the road by a drunk driver per the Oregonian. Unreal that we still have drunk drivers killing people. It’s 2024. Call an Uber or a Lift. condolences to his family, friends and teammates.
  22. His Mom seemed to be all Texas, so I assumed Oregon would finish second. What a nice surprise! Moms and Girlfriends are no longer undefeated in recruiting. 🤣
  23. I agree with Jon that Notre Dame fans are in a completely different class. Congrats to them! They win hands down in my book! My vote in the BIG is for USC fans. How come every USC fan I interact with is completely delusional about their current position in college football (still think they are the pace setters for the sport) and is completely uneducated about the game of football? It’s almost hilarious at this point. Death, taxes, and delusional USC fans. I can deal with tOSU fans. While they can be obnoxious, the fans I have interacted with actually understand the game of football and their team is currently relevant.
  24. Why is this shocking to them? Oregon has out-recruited USC over the last 15 years. This is not new. 🤣
  25. Agree. That is awesome. I really miss seeing pictures of Oregon Death Stars over the opposing team's stadium every week.
