A Perfect Week Moves Oregon Baseball UP in the Rankings!
Oregon Baseball Surges in Rankings Following Undefeated WeekThe USA TODAY Sports coaches poll saw the Ducks make the biggest jump of any team this week, moving up seven spots to No. 14, tied with the Oklahoma Sooners. Ahead of them, UCLA remained at No. 1, despite dropping a game to Sacramento State, and Oregon State also remained at No. 6, despite falling to the Ducks. With a 32-11 record, the Ducks are well-positioned to boost their standing even more with a big finish against UCLA and USC, which jumped up six spots to No. 17. Oregon made a considerable jump in the D1Baseball rankings as well, which are commonly used by teams as the official rankings. The Ducks made the biggest jump in this poll as well, leaping six spots up to No. 13. The Beavers remained at No. 6 after rebounding from the midweek loss to sweep Hawaii over the weekend. https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/baseball/2026/04/27/oregon-baseball-surges-rankings-weekend-sweep/89822118007/

Oregon First-Four Out in ESPNs 2027 Way-Too-Early Bracketology and Portal Summary
Kendre Harrison (6-7 / 243 lbs) was quite the basketball player in high school. But, who knows if there’s the possibility of him playing two sports. Football and basketball will overlap. Kendre Harrison focused on ‘football first’ over basketball with Oregon DucksAs impressive as the feat may be, it's not unusual to see an athlete compete in two sports in Eugene. It's possible to do both, but the Ducks are now facing some difficult decisions and conversations with freshman tight end Kendre Harrison. The 6-foot-7 target from Reidsville, North Carolina, signed with the Ducks as a four-star recruit in both football and basketball. While he has been competing for a backup role on Oregon's offense in his first season, the potential for playing time as a freshman on the hardwood has opened up, with Dana Altman overseeing a bevy of changes to his roster. For now, Dan Lanning wants Harrison to keep his focus where his feet are, on the football field. "It's always been the plan when he got here to focus really on football first, and then we'll see what opportunities present themselves as that comes along," Lanning said after Saturday's spring game. "We saw a guy today get drafted who played baseball here, and now he's going to go play football for the Colts in Bryce. We have Dakorien right now doing two sports as well ... It's certainly something we can do." https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/football/2026/04/27/oregon-football-kendre-harrison-focused-football-over-basketball/89805005007/

The latest construction update shows an unprecedented indoor facility coming together in eye-catching fashion. The futuristic design is already striking, but it is the sheer scale that jumps off the page The project, dubbed “2.Mo.,” is designed as an all-encompassing athlete performance hub, and some of the details are wild. One of the cool factors features is a rooftop players’ lounge overlooking Autzen Stadium, a detail that sounds straight out of a recruiting pitch but is becoming reality. And it's really awesome to be able to see that going on in our backyard, and the impact that's going to make for us in future seasons, and how that's going to be really a weapon for our players and our coaches, for us to continue to advance." This year's game is split between the Combat Ducks (black) and the Fighting Ducks (white) in recognition of the United States military. The teams have been split evenly, and the team will play as close to a real football game as possible, per head coach Dan Lanning. "Very similar to what it's been," Lanning said last weekend. "Running quarters like we've done, playing out two-minute situations, trying to create some of that on both sides of the ball, separating the teams into two different groups. There might be a point in the scrimmage where we pull a guy from one team to another to be able to accomplish everything we want to accomplish. But special teams, the whole nine yards, offense and defense, we'll go out there and play football." Below is a breakdown of how the team's have been split by position. Two Blue-Chip Recruits Who Could Commit To Oregon After Quarterback Will MenclTwo Oregon Ducks recruiting targets who could commit following five-star quarterback recruit Will Mencl's commitment. In the 2027 recruiting class, the Oregon Ducks have already landed nine commitments ahead of official visits, with one of the players being five-star quarterback Will Mencl. Mencl is by far one of the better players in the nation, regardless of the position. He is also someone who could attract more talent to the Oregon program due to being one of the best players at arguably the toughest position on the field. He will have the chance to be the captain of this ship, and if that is the case, there could be more prospects jumping aboard. Even with a new coordinator, the Ducks are looking to ‘install the Oregon offense’Just as defenses adapt to keep up with offensive trends, playcallers on the other side of the ball must also evolve to stay one step ahead. Oregon's new offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer is well aware of this fact, but — along with the Ducks' entire coaching staff — understands the importance of continuity. "It really started from the beginning since we've been here, we wanted to install the Oregon offense," Lanning said. "Even going back when Kenny [Dillingham] was here, we developed a system. Coach Mehringer has been here for the entire thing, and then we wanted to add wrinkles, adjust, adapt, and build." That consistency is why Lanning has been so keen to promote internally when positions open on his staff. He is proud of his ability to develop coaches — having sent coordinators Will Stein and Tosh Lupoi to head coaching positions this offseason — and knows the benefit that it provides his players. Because Mehringer has been in-house, this is just a continuation of the system already in place on the offensive side of the ball. "Our system has a lot of answers. It has a lot of tools," Lanning said. "This offseason, we're going to add new things that we haven't done in the past, and build off that, and build to our players' skill sets." https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/even-with-a-new-coordinator-the-ducks-are-looking-to-install-the-oregon-offense-283038231/- Oregon Ducks Practice Reports Updates, Etc. “2026” (5)
