The Oregon Ducks got a big-time recruiting win on Friday morning, and they happened to score a secondary win over two of their former coaches while at it.

Live on the Pat McAfee Show, 4-star linebacker Brayton Feister announced his commitment to the Ducks, choosing Dan Lanning's squad over the Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, and California Golden Bears. While Feister's choice of Oregon over Cal gives Lanning a win over former defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi, it also moved the Ducks up in the national recruiting rankings.

Brayton Feister is a Rivals 4-Star, and visited Oregon three times, while he visited Penn State and Notre Dame twice, and USC, Michigan, Cal and Georgia once.

This puts Oregon at No. 4 in the nation on the Rivals national ranking, just above Ohio State. We have 17 Blue-Chips verballed, which is pretty darn good. When we add a few portal transfers later--it will be another leading class!

This is a "maturing-early" kind of player, as he looks like he could compete at Oregon right now, instead of his senior year of high school.

The Ducks' home win over USC, which Feister saw in person, further cemented Oregon's lead.

"Seeing the two play showed me the difference in the two programs," Feister said. "USC has a great program but I believe the Ducks take the cake after seeing the game." 

Oregon just added a 235-pound linebacker with 133 tackles, 39 TFL, 13 sacks and a 41.9-inch vertical.

Brayton Feister is a big addition to an already loaded 2027 class.

This dude has a full sleeve on his right arm it appears. When did he start the process...5? Not sure why any parent or tattoo artist would sleeve a child. Sorry, just seems concerning to me. Maybe it's normal in today's world.

Personally, I'm not big on highlights since these 4- & 5-star guys are men going against boys in many of the films.

The coaches get to see film against all opponents and break down techniques, so I'll go with their evaluations.

Based upon this "kid's" stature and stats, what does it take to be a 5 star?

Well, his dad has a pretty full array of tattoos on his arm in his picture with his son. Maybe this dude has a lot of love and respect for his father, which is a pretty good thing in today's world.
