Yesterday at 02:18 AM1 day Moderator No. Right now they lead Penn St 24-7 in the third quarter. Chip Kelly has another offense looking dangerous. This team is 3-1 taking Indiana down to wire in their only loss.
Yesterday at 02:51 AM1 day Author Moderator No. Another TD makes it 31-7 heading into the 4th. This team looks legit and will give the Ducks trouble. Expect them to be ranked next week.
Yesterday at 03:12 AM1 day Author Moderator No. Penn St sees their comeback take a terrible turn as a TD is followed with a horrible pass in the dirt to a wide open receiver on a failed two point conversion. NorthWestern now leads 31-13.
Yesterday at 03:28 AM1 day Author Moderator No. NorthWestern rolls to over 400 yards rushing on a drive ending in a field goal late. They now lead 34-13.
Yesterday at 03:39 AM1 day Author Moderator No. 34-13 final. I'd say the Wildcats are the third best team in the BIG right now behind tOSU and Indiana. With that run game, they'll be a problem for anyone they face including the Ducks.
Yesterday at 03:52 AM1 day No. Chip may not like to recruit, but he can sure coach offense!I noticed on short and goal the QB lined up behind center with a quick handoff. In similar situations at USC, the Duck QB was in a shotgun with a deep handoff. The RB was tackled behind the LOS when a defender came in around the end - unblocked. Reminded me of Crystobal. They may be hard to beat. Edited yesterday at 03:54 AM1 day by Canvasback added a line

With that run game, they'll be a problem for anyone they face including the Ducks. They were only able to run for fewer than 40 yards at Indiana. It is hard to tell how good or bad their run game is. It certainly looked world class this evening. Maybe Indiana's run defense is super good, or may Penn State's is horrible, or some of both. The game this evening certainly makes the Northwestern game more of concern for us. BTW: Chiles looked like a Heisman candidate tonight. Yesterday at 05:34 AM1 day Moderator No. A nonpareil opening act. 👍🤞😍 Hats off to the Ryans, everyone on the design team, the fired-up student standing-room-only section, a reborn Aiden Chiles, Chipper, Jerry Neu, David Braun, and a smash-mouth O-line and D-line. Buckle the chin straps. Teams with B1G run games are headed to Autzen. Iowa State East? A good B12 squad isn't cutting it in the Big Ten. And the former Nit Lions coach is no longer undefeated. Pitt 35 - VA Tech 33.No easy day. Bring it on!
Yesterday at 06:23 AM1 day No. Unbelievable end to No. 1 Montana State at 0-4 Idaho.Another clock keeper's dream game. Clock probably should have run out, but officials kept 1 second on the clock, and Idaho completed a 25 yd pass with 1 sec. to start the play, then a 2-pt conversion to win it 35-34.Idaho went 80 yds in 49 secs.Idaho now 1-4 this season, first win over a No. 1 team. Montana State is defending FCS Champion. Montana State now 5-1, 19-game win streak comes to an end.
23 hours ago23 hr No. Their new stadium looks amazing. And how awesome is it that it's exactly 100 years after the first field was commissioned, that they're playing their first game in the new stadium. I thought they played spectacular, and you can see Chip Kelly's influence shining. It's too bad he'll go on to suck at an NFL job next year. 🤣
23 hours ago23 hr No. This is not meant as a knock on Will Stein or our current coordinator, but I remember wishing we would hire Chip after Dillingham left. I am concerned about him vs our defense again. Congratulations to NW and their new stadium.

With Chip, there really isn’t much question about whether he can coordinate an offense at the college level. What he did at Oregon helped change college football, and then he went to Ohio State and helped coordinate a national championship offense. Put that kind of experience with the talent Oregon has right now and it’s pretty hard not to wonder what the ceiling would be.That said, I’m trying to be fair to Drew Mehringer and Chris Hampton too. Both have shown flashes, and I understand why Lanning promoted guys he knows, trusts, and believes in. I actually respect the loyalty. My concern is more about the timing. This feels like a roster built to contend right now, and having both coordinator positions going through some growing pains at the same time feels like an awfully big gamble. And honestly, the offense isn’t even the side I’m most concerned about. They’re working in a new offensive line and don’t have nearly the same returning experience at some of the skill positions, yet we’ve still seen stretches where the offense looks very good. Statistically, the defense has been the much bigger disappointment, especially considering how much experience and talent is on that side of the ball. That’s the part that’s hardest for me to reconcile with the roster.Maybe the better approach would have been to promote one of them and make a national search for a proven coordinator on the other side. Give Mehringer his opportunity, for example, but bring in an established defensive play caller, or vice versa. There are a hundred different ways it could have been handled, so I don’t pretend there was one obvious answer.I just think trying to develop both coordinators at the same time, with this particular roster and these expectations, is a lot to ask. And while everybody is wondering what this offense would look like with Chip Kelly, I’m over here wondering what this defense would look like with somebody like Nick Aliotti calling it. 😂 Edited 22 hours ago22 hr by Krsmqn

Not sure if you can hike the ball with 1 second when the ref starts the play and step away. . . unless of course, you are at Michigan!
