How Many Ranked Teams in the Minor Leagues Would Minnesota Beat?
Next year, the SEC gets to prove if they are the superior conference. I believe it is why so many fans are complaining. SEC bias is real, or they are truly superior. Next year we will see what the conference is really about.

DC Chris Hampton: Yay or Nay?
Lanning said the players didn't execute. Said the same last week. This is the part of coaching that is getting better. Coaches are getting directly involved and getting buy in from the players. I suspect it is two way communication. Notice how Koi's pursuit has been more effective? Now they need to work on tackling. I have to look at the film more, but I am seeing signs of improvement. If they keep this up, and play like they have the past two weeks, a USC win next week helps them out tremendously. IF.

And you need to recognize weaknesses and adjust accordingly.

Should Jay Johnson Remain as the Offensive Coordinator?
Tuioti to Uiagalelei? The guyโs got some Chip in him.

Dan Lanning: H.C. of The Oregon Ducks!
I have to admit thereโs been some โwhoa!โ moments this season when Iโve questioned if this guy is who I believe he is. But, every time that doubt arose, I knew in my heart it was wrong, that he is legit. You just know it. For a young coach still learning the ropes to go through the gauntlet he has and get his team to do what they did today? Thatโs living proof that adversity builds character. And, thatโs what I put my trust in.

Oregon is Hot, Now They're Done, Oh They're Back, No They Are Finished, And So On...
This Ohio St win on the road is worthy of some hype. The passing attack and shut down defense finally looks good.

Dan Lanning: H.C. of The Oregon Ducks!
I just hope Dan Lanning learned 2 valuable lessons this year. You need the best coaches money can buy, and you need to scheme to YOUR player's strengths and weaknesses.

Oregon - Ohio St. Post-Game Discussion Thread
I cant remember ever seeing that in the past. I was actually surprised the telecast actually focused on the exodus. Until the Ducks pulled a significant portion of the D, tOSU had completely stopped focusing on JSmith. Not sure what was up with that...

DC Chris Hampton: Yay or Nay?
He's good. I don't know why anyone has wanted him to leave.

DC Chris Hampton: Yay or Nay?
I think he's shown more ability to adapt to an offensive game plan than Tosh. Now if he can just figure out how to start the game. I think he's doing a great job for a first year guy and will get better the more his guys believe in him. For continuity sakes alone I'd say bring him back for next year.

'Tis said that one learns more from loss than from any win.

Miami is Down to Notre Dame
Speaking of back-to-back, the wins against Northwestern and Ohio State were both ranked teams. The last time Oregon beat ranked teams back-to-back in the regular season was 2018: Cal and Washington. It's happened post-regular-season since.

Oregon - Ohio St. Post-Game Discussion Thread
I loved the game! But I'm really tired of the terrible refereeing in the B1G. It's easily as bad as the PAC12. Hmm, I wonder if they'd hire a slightly decrepit 81-year-old who could not do any worse??

DC Chris Hampton: Yay or Nay?
Keep up the apparently improvement and I would say ok

Dan Lanning: H.C. of The Oregon Ducks!
Hmm, Looks just like what he faced after that Seattle game. People (everywhere) calling out his decision making, and his ability to dial it in. What happened? He leaned into who he is and stayed the course. I wonder how much more he got involved in both the offense and defense. Looks like he spent more time with the coordinators/play callers and drilled down to the essence of what he wanted. I think the players love him because he has a player's mentality. And all that "coach speak/word salad" people accused him of were words those people should have been paying more attention to. I've watched how he handled the duress he was under. He had far more poise than any of us, and he demonstrated character a whole lot of people need to pay attention to. Because they could sure use it in their personal lives. As I've watched fan bases around the country melt down, I have marveled at how easily way too many people don't grasp the concept that adversity and challenges are tests. They don't identify who you are, they define what you're made of. We are supposed to face obstacles. Too many of us run away from them. Ryan Day and Dan Lanning have gone through the same mess. Julian Sayin and Dante Moore have as well. And the biggest challenge all four have had is dealing with people that don't give them credit for hanging in there when their respective Offensive Lines have highly underperformed. That has been their challenge these past two seasons. FEBU is real. We all work better as a team. I believe fan bases bail when the rubber meets the road instead of letting things play out the way they eventually do. Penn State is facing the consequences of bailing on their man. And will for seasons to come. Their win this week notwithstanding. Winning is far more than Ws and Ls. One can definitely see how Lanning never lets his team give up. Like Day, he's won more than 80 percent of his games. And people fall apart over the 15 to 20 percent of losses. Can't say we need to be more positive, but I can say there is a huge lesson in all this. AND YES-I SCREAMED AT THE TV IN THE FIRST QUARTER TOO. But I never felt it meant Day or Lanning should face the music their fan bases have dealt them.

Miami is Down to Notre Dame
Unfortunately not. But back-to-back ranked wins is a great springboard and running the table the rest of the way provides an opening to that conference championship game if a few other chips fell in the right way.

DC Chris Hampton: Yay or Nay?
Now officially 9 games into the season I think we have enough to start grading the performance of Chris Hampton. His defense started out rough and discombobulated the first few games but the last several weeks has seen significant improvement to the point where it's been carrying the team on more than a few occasions. Most notably, I've been noticing some good and timely in-game adjustments after being pounded by offenses like Northwestern to start the game. Some of this could be attributed to DL's participation in the evolution of the schemes and play calling. However it seems that CH has taken that and kept it rolling. I think he's made the case to be retained as DC for next season. What say you?

Miami is Down to Notre Dame
There will be a new No. 1. Notre Dame 31 - Miami 24 Georgia turned Ole Miss into Dawg meat. Georgia 42 - Ole Miss 7. Georgia will be number 1. Will Ole Miss stay in the top 10? ๐คช Oklahoma 23, Florida 7. Will 4-loss Florida still be ranked? As Brett Bielma noted on Friday night after defeating Nebraska: "We're 6-3. If we were in the SEC, we'd be ranked in the PO committee's Top 15." Tennessee 34, Kentucky 6. Will undefeated 9-0 UCLA move ahead of two-loss Kentucky? UCLA 34, Minnesota 20. Michigan State defeated Michigan in Ann Arbor๐คฌ . Without QB Aiden Chiles, Northwestern lost to No. 19 Iowa; first defeat in the new stadium. Penn State defeated UW in Seattle. ๐๐๐ No Top-25 win opportunities for Oregon in the next three games.

Should Jay Johnson Remain as the Offensive Coordinator?
Assuming the offense continues to stabilize and improve over the rest of the season, I think his name should be in the hat for consideration. But make no mistake, if DL doesn't perform a proper search for an OC there won't be a ton of patience by fans. If JJ's results are that compelling by the time interviews start then he could get the gig but only after it's compared with a handful of other top end candidates.

Should Jay Johnson Remain as the Offensive Coordinator?
Regardless of Jay's future with the Ducks he needs to be getting PAID for these winning games. Like $100k+ each game.

Dan Lanning: H.C. of The Oregon Ducks!
OK State defeated K-State 66-28 today to move to 6-3. No. 15 Texas Tech is in a shootout with W. VA. The Red Raiders visit Stillwater on Saturday, 11/14 OK State had a good loss at Houston, not a good loss at Iowa State, and the unfathomable loss to Tulane. But with a win tonight and on the 14th against TX Tech, the Cowboys would be 5-2 in the B12 with a chance of playing in the B12 championship game. Boise State won today and could be in the PO committee's Top 25 this Tuesday. OT but delightful. As head coach, Lane Kiffen is still 0 for Alabama. ๐ Danno? Who calls a fake punt with a D end throwing to another D end, and a TD play with players lined up sideline to sideline and the TE taking the snap from the center? When these plays work, it's all good, at least until next Saturday vs. Michigan. The game kicks off at 12:30 Pacific on FS1. With less than two minutes remaining, Michigan is behind visiting Michigan State. Sparty 15 - Wolverines 6. โน๏ธ

How Many Ranked Teams in the Minor Leagues Would Minnesota Beat?
Many of them. Some of them for sure. They might even give Miami a game. And by minor leagues, I mean any conf not named Big10 or SEC. It is good they are expanding the playoffs next year. You can't compare apples and oranges.
