We have a chance, but it's a lot to hope for at this stage. I would be happy at 8-4.

I love it. I well remember their athletic director's condescending remarks in the late 1970s about our financial position.

Local long snapping prospect commits to Oregon footballThe Oregon Ducks are adding a long snapper to their 2027 recruiting class. Jamison Walsh, who also plays tight end and defensive end for Cascade High School in Turner, announced his commitment to the Ducks on Thursday. Walsh is rated a 4.5-star prospect by Rubio Long Snapping, ranked the No. 32 long snapper in the country. https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/2026/11/local-long-snapping-prospect-commits-to-oregon-football.html- CFP PLAYOFF DISCUSSION THREAD
No question a 9-3 Duck team would be worthy to make the CFP. The resume would be strong..... Question is, can they overcome the committee SEC Bias? And in the process climb over enough 9-3 SEC teams? The deck may be stacked against any team that does not win their conference title. Nothing matters unless OBD's handles tOSU this Saturday.... Go Ducks......- CFP PLAYOFF DISCUSSION THREAD

Gotta love Cig's thoughts. 😍 Ohio State, ranked eight spots lower than an Indiana team it defeated; ranked nine spots higher than a USC team it lost to. What will also be interesting is IF we win, is that we should jump Ohio St. Both three loss teams and a recent head-to-head win. They lost to a SC team that we beat. But would the committee? We already have 'Bama 8 spots above a Tennessee team that pretty much crushed them. An Indiana team that lost to Ohio St. 8 spots above them. I think the explanation was that they placed teams in pods, then compared the teams within the pod and for some reason Ohio St. was not in the same pod as Indiana and Tennessee was not in 'Bama's pod. I've decided to listen to my 3-month-old grandchild for the explanation since his gibberish equals the committee's.- Good Analysis of the OC and His Offense for Oregon...
Couldn’t agree more. Great breakdown of how Johnson’s tweaks of the same plays from previous week finally got the offense going. Particularly liked Eric showing the simplifying of reads, and the narrowing of the read range from 80 degrees to 40 degrees in the passing game that allowed DR to get comfortable and confident.- CFP PLAYOFF DISCUSSION THREAD
From Ohio Duck No. 16 This would allow the Ducks to make the B1G championship game which and a win would be the sure way to make the playoffs. My biggest rooting this week is for the Ducks to beat Ohio State in Columbus. That is the biggest game of all the college games left to play this year for the Duck's chances. I'm not convinced OBD are out of the playoff picture without a B1G championship game win. Here's why. If the team that played the final 21/2 quarters vs Northwestern is the the Ducks team going forward there is a chance of winning out. Beat Ohio St. in Columbus (certainly a big challenge but doable, I think our back up QB is better than theirs) Beat Michigan at home (not as big a challenge, but take nothing for granted at this point but doable) Beat Michigan St. on the road - definitely doable Beat Washington at home - again definitely doable That's 9-3 with wins over Boise, USC, Nebraska, Northwestern and Ohio St. All in contention for a playoff birth though certainly not sure things. Losses to: Oklahoma St. who has a chance to win out themselves and be 9-3, Texas Tech will be tough, but its a home game and they have not lost at home this season (39 vs OBD is the least they have scored at home). UCLA still undefeated at this time by 2. and Illinois which could be the only really bad loss (looking at their remaining schedule they could end up 5-7, if they manage to go 2-2 the rest of the way they are a respectable 7-5) Given that our worst games were following an injury to our starting QB and it took time to adjust, that we made a needed adjustment in the coaching staff (jury's still out but the first game was promising), we will have won 5 straight games... that 9-3 record vs. one of the tougher schedules in college football and considering the circumstances, presents a good case for the Ducks to be in. I think if we win out and look pretty good doing it, we are in.- CFP PLAYOFF DISCUSSION THREAD

I'm old so my opinion probably doesn't count for much of anything at all. I love the look of these uniforms, but I really do like seeing some of our actual colors from time to time when we're out there.- WEEK 10 - B1G Games and Big Games
Week 10, the Week we were all waiting for. The week when preseason-ranked No. 2, 8-0 Oregon would play No. 1, 8-0 Ohio State in the Shoe to determine the No. 1 team in the land. But that was yesterday, and yesterday's gone.☹️ However, No. 23 Oregon at No. 12 Ohio State is still a B1G game amongst the best games of the 2026 season. Week 10 sees No. 20 USC and No. 4 Indiana on a bye before SC plays Indiana in Bloomington in Week 11. Then there is the kid out of Sweet Home that passed a few weeks back. Not sure all the details. Some guys at work that live in Sweet Home were saying it was a hemorrhage. With Donte mental health issues he has made public, I han see where he would be chuck full of fear (my speculation). Football is not a game for the fearful. I was saying multiple things in this post. You might be right. The doctors haven't cleared him so maybe it's worse than we thought. The brain is not something to mess with. Two weeks after Dante's injury a player from Southern Nazarene University (D2) named Tyler Ulrich was killed while making a helmet to helmet hit on an opposing player. He was unresponsive on the field and he eventually died from a subdural hematoma a couple of days later in the hospital. - CFP PLAYOFF DISCUSSION THREAD
