  2. Correct, but in the absence of the committee's first top 25 ranking, to be released on November 3rd, the attached article used the AP Poll rankings, as do similar articles, except for USA Today and affiliates that use the Coaches Poll rankings.
  3. A recent article in The Athletic focused on these eight teams not meeting preseason expectations because of disappointing run games: Clemson, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, TCU, Washington, and Oregon. A few Oregon run game stats through Week 7 - Yards Per Carry - 4.11- 94th out of 138 FBS teams. Yards Per Carry Adjusted for Sacks - 4.6 - 53rd out of 68 Power 4 teams. Success Rate - Gains that keep a team on track to avoid 3rd and long - 46.6% - 36th in the P4. Stuff Rate - Plays that go for 0 or negative yardage - 16.6% - 43rd in the P4. Bad hires? Or bad evaluation of the existing talent on the roster? Or both? Bad evaluations lead to bad portal picking. Texas brought in O-line players from the portal who were going to fix the run game and give Manning more time to throw the ball. Hasn't happened. How much are Oregon's underperforming O-line players capable of being coached up? It's hard to win P4 games when the opponent doesn't need to focus on stopping the run game.
  4. The selection committee does not use the AP for their selection.
  5. Ducks! 41-13 2 Illini TOs 4 OBD Sacks 252 passing yds
  6. Agree. I think Moore has taken his last snap in an Oregon jersey. Just my opinion.
  7. Today

  8. Ducks in 24-14 2 2 245 This one is hard, I think Ill. is maybe a little better than their record and if the Ducks play with so little aggressiveness offensively again it could be a struggle.
  9. And to be honest (this coming from a definite not Alabama fan) they got screwed royally vs Georgia. They shouldn't be a two loss team.
  10. On this week's episode of Talkin' Ducks, Jordan Kent, Aaron Fentress, and Joey Harrington discuss whether Oregon can build momentum and run the table. Plus, the guys break down what to expect from Dylan Raiola with Dante Moore still sidelined and debate the pros and cons of a 24-team College Football Playoff.
  11. 23-13 Oregon 2 takeaways 3 sacks 211 passing yards On paper, this week is an opportunity for the offense to get some swagger back, but I’m afraid that won’t be the gameplan
  12. Miami to the B1G or the SEC? The B1G is litigating against Miami. The SEC has the Gators: the premier program in the state. Good luck, yuck, yuck. 😁 https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/miami-president-acc-moving-sec-big-ten/
  13. UCF upsets BYU? I also like Ole Miss +3 at Texas. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/picks-texas-ole-miss-houston-utah-tom-fornelli-lock-week-8/
  14. Thanks, Steven. Ranked No. 27 in the AP Poll, Oregon would be out without a conference championship, right? No. 24 Northwestern would be the last team in the field and play a 1st-round game at No. 9 UCLA. A B1G-on-B1G matchup but not a rematch; no rematch games allowed in the 1st round.
  15. So do Sark, Kiffen and DeBour. LOL.
  16. Six Big Ten teams are napping this weekend: Maryland has to change Locks; Nebraska won't be able to surrender a lead in the 4th quarter; No. 4 Ohio State needs to find a starting QB; Penn State's Little Game Matt is 0 for the Power 4, and he and Rocco aren't in Iowa anymore; Purdue is celebrating more B1G wins in 2026 than in the last two seasons; and Washington means no offense. In his last four games against ranked opponents, and by a foot out of bounds, Ryan Day is 1-3. Losses to Indiana, Miami, and Texas before last week's escape in Bloomington. In Week 8, there are no B1G Top 25 vs. Top 25 games. No. 8 Ole Miss +3 at No. 19 Texas - 4:30 PM - ABC The Longhorns are the first team in the history of the AP Poll to be ranked No. 1 and lose the next two games to unranked opponents. No. 14 Houston +6.5 at No. 10 Utah - 7:15 PM - ESPN Week 7, GameDay was in Provo. Week 8, Salt Lake City. Houston is the first-ranked opponent that Utah has played in 2026. Houston coach Willie Fritz is right there with BYU's Kalani Sitake as the best in the Big 12. If the game goes for 60 and not 59:59 minutes, I like the Cougars to win in front of the Mighty MUSS. BYU, with a long trip to Orlando, Florida, and coming off the high of taking down Notre Dame last Saturday and being ranked 2nd in the AP Poll, is -6.5 vs. UCF, but better stay Frosty for Saturday's game against the now, not-so-Golden 3-3 Knights. - 12:30 PM Fox. WEEK 8 B1G Games. Week 8 in the Big Ten sees Iowa playing Minnesota in the 90th B1G Battle for a Pig. In 1935, Iowa governor Clyde L. Herring made a wager with Minnesota governor Floyd B. Olson; the victor of the Hawkeyes vs. the Gophers game would win a prize pig from Rosedale Farms in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The winner would keep the pig for a year before the next game was played for all the bacon. Minnesota won the game; Clyde delivered the pig to Floyd, and the battle for the Floyd of Rosedale series was on. There was only one problem: Floyd went to Hog Heaven before the 1936 game was played. Thus, a 98-pound bronze statue of Floyd replaced Floyd. Saturday will mark the 90th time the teams have battled for the bronze bacon. The Gophers lead the series 63-54-2, but Iowa has won ten of the last eleven games. This is the 28th Floyd of Rosedale game for Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, who is 20-7 in the fight for Floyd. The Big Ten, a tradition like no other. The odds for Saturday's games, with Sportsline game predictions for a few of the games. Broadcast details are in the attached B1G game previews from SuperWest Sports. No. 15 Iowa -6.5 at Minnesota - Sportsline - Iowa 28, Minnesota 24 No. 24 Northwestern - 16.5 vs. Rutgers No. 6 Indiana -7 at Michigan - Sportsline - Indiana 33, Michigan 21. 1967 was the last time the Hoosiers won in the Big House. Indiana won the Big Ten championship in 1967. USC defeated the Hawkeyes in the1968 Rose Bowl, 14-3. Some guy named OJ Simpson was the game's MVP. No. 9 UCLA -14 vs. Michigan State - Sportsline - UCLA 30, Michigan State 18. No. 16 USC -3 at Wisconsin - The Badgers hope for a better outcome against a B1G team from LA than last week's loss vs. UCLA. Will Riley win back-to-back B1G road games? OREGON -8.5 at Illinois -Noon Pacific - Big Ten Network Did Good Dylan or Go to Your Room Dylan make the trip to Champaign? If it's Good Dillon, break out the post-game champagne. 🤪 SuperWest SportsSelected 2026 Week 8 Big Ten College Football PreviewsStephen Vilardo previews 6 of the weekend's games and gives us his game predictions.
  17. Pritchard, Brooks and Bittle. Every Oregon Duck Listed on NBA Opening Night Rosters Plus, lost in OT to Utah Utah Rallies to Down Ducks - University of Oregon Athletics
  18. Oregon 20, Illinois 10 1 turnover 3 sacks 227 yards passing
  19. Oregon 31-6 3 turnovers 4 sacks 263 passing yards Ducks finally start doing a few things well on offense with short fields to assist.
  20. Pure guess on my part but I doubt we see Dante Moore again this year. Perhaps by now the concussion is a bit behind him but what about the psychological issues? Let's not forget that his mother was threatening to sue USC, the USC player and others. Family is invested in a number of ways. JMHO. GO DUCKS!

  24. I assume a Doctor of Neurology needs to clear him to play, and medical information will never be publicly released without the -players consent. Until then…..
